Why do people got to complain about the littlest thing about new characters? Pretty pathetic if I'd say so.
I welcome new characters before returning characters with open arms.
I really like the designs of our first 4.5 new characters.
Kotal Kahns spiked paddle is killer!

They've got to prove themselves lol. That's most peoples reaction to any new thing. Looking incredulously and judging harshly until they warm up to whatever the new thing is. Why do people got to complain about the littlest thing about new characters? Pretty pathetic if I'd say so.

But I think with MK specifically, we welcome new characters game after game for about 20 years now. It's the 10th Mortal Kombat and we're still dealing with half of the roster being new and the status quo says we'll only see 3-5 (and 5 is being too generous tbh) of these characters in MK11.
Of course these characters could be in it for the long haul, which I think would be much appreciated because it'd give time for player to really warm up to them.
I decided to resurrect this thread so that we can continue talking about all of the new characters in one huge thread.
I want to discuss about Ferra Torr.
I was on a different site and talked about how I would like to see this character play out. I would be really disappointed if Ferra becomes Torr's master and he's just a slave to her. I'd rather be more of him being her guardian than anything else. Even the relationship with these characters, I would really think it would be kind of interesting if there's a brother/sister relationship between them.
Yeah, the whole slave/master thing has been done too many times. Torr would obviously be your big, dumb, overpowered brute, Ferra would be your annoying little runt suffering from a Napoleon complex. Been there, done that. To see him be more of her guardian than her slave would serve more of a meaningful purpose.
Also, I really hope their arcade ending has nothing to do with him overcoming Ferra and killing her in the process so that he becomes this lonesome individual. I mean, if Ferra is his master and he overpowers her, what would he end up doing? You basically killed the only person who gave you your directions in life (sorta). We saw that already with Ermac and Skarlet. Have Kahn get killed, your most trusted weapons soon turn into this lost little soul who has no direction.
The predictability between having them be slave/master and the ending I just discussed would disappointment me (and probably a lot of others) greatly because it's been done too many times. To have these two be something like a brother and sister, heck maybe even husband and wife (because we don't know where they come from) would be an interesting twist for them and could leave a few with some raised eyebrows.

I love this "character". I love the design & concept, the idea of playing with what is basically a team of two characters. People say it's a rip off of Master Blaster or whatever but I've never seen the source material they are referring to. Besides, MK has taken influences from lots of movies over the years.
I'm itching to learn more about Ferra-Tor's story.

I think I agree with you.
