I can't imagine KAK being good, at all. I'm really trying! Any way I see it, it would be awful (IMO).

Have you played Soul Calibur at all? Tried their character creation model? It's pretty damn good. If KaK became anything like that, it would be good.

I never liked Tanya at all. She failed to leave any impression on me other than "bitch in yellow". Maybe MK10 will change that.

Would rather just customize the characters than have KAK back. Save that for a MK Armageddon 2 if we ever get one.

I like Tanya and her chronic back stabbing. She's out for herself and will survive by any means necessary. Although admittedly I think it's more interesting to have her a member of the Brotherhood of Shadows like in MK4. I like that she's a magic user. Maybe not quite the sorcerer that Quan Chi and Shang Tsung are but it's still an interesting angle.

I think she has a lot of potential like most of the MK4 characters, it's just a matter of making them stick out enough.

So, rather split opinions about Tanya... but what about the rest of the cast? Reiko, Hotaru, Drahmin, Havik, Frost, etc...

I can't stand characters with no loyalty. They're boring in that you know they'll betray whoever they're working with. That's why Quan Chi is my least favorite character. I'd say I like Tanya a little more but she's currently on my shit list too.

I'm hoping to see each of them, especially Hotaru and Havik. Chaos and Order, both awesome scenarios to play with, I can't wait to see what they do with them if they bring them back.

I definitely would like to see Tanya, Reiko, and Havik return for sure. I'm on the fence about Frost, Hotaru, and Drahmin, but if they return and are made into solid characters then I'll give them a chance.

We knew what expect from mk9 because boon kept saying all characters from mk1-umk3 will be present.

But now we have no clue whos gonna join. Thats makes me 10x more excited.

Boring? That's why they're interesting, to me. Loyal characters are loyal. This ain't Barney and friends. I love characters that stir the pot, and Tanya does just that. She'll even stir your neck; they should definitely bring that move back for MK10!



I'm definitely campaigning for Kai and Havik. Though he lacked a bit of spice, Kai wasn't terrible in MK4. It wouldn't take much for NRS to upgrade and reintroduce him the way they did Stryker.

Havik has a ticket to MK10 just on his look alone. Love it. Dat face. So creepy! I literally twerked when he popped up in WhatsHisName's MK9 ending. He even had a slight, retooled design there that looked great. Did anyone like his arm-eating fatality back in the day? I thought it was okay. I liked the idea, but I thought it lacked finesse. It was over too quickly to me. Something like that can be really gruesome and disturbing if executed correctly. Maybe they'll give it another stab in MK10. Otherwise, I'm down for Havik having totally new fatalities.

I might be excited for Li Mei; I'm not sure yet. I loved her in MK5, but only because I missed and longed for Mileena. When Mileena returned in MK6, I immediately trashed Li Mei. I think I'd rather have the rebooted Mileena in MK10; she didn't die after all. If they totally redesign Li Mei's look and moves, then I guess she can come and play in MK10.

Does anyone think brutalities will get the 2010s reboot?
