Reptile is one of five characters that I would definitely love to see return.

I am not sure how about Reptile-in-a-guise-of-the-human idea, but his costume in your signature most likely wasn't used because it was too similar to the costumes of Sub-Zero (Sub's alt) and Smoke (Smoke's alt). Gladly palette swaps and clones are not appreciated in the 21 century, so they opted not to use it. Besides, if you wanted Reptile-as-human there were retrocostumes.

Generally going with the idea "individual apperance for every former ninjaclone" I don't want Reptile to return to his human guise ever. It is enough to have two somewhat similar human ninjas in every game: Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Third one would be pushing it.


It's not freaking cool. It is stupid and absolutely unneeded. In this day and age when developers do not have such limitations as in the 90-s, creating another pathetic palette swap is just inexcusable foolery and waste of time and space. We left 90-s. At least most of us.

Yes. I've loved Reptile gameplay in 2D games (MK2, MK3, MK9). The forceball is one of my favorite fighting game moves. I want Reptile back, i'm interested in finding out what his 3 variations would play like.

I think it would be cool. It doesnt have to be a scorpion swap but it would make the most sense considering the past.

When MK11 rolls around I could imagine all the speculation on if "insert-name-here" is going to be in it. and what he/she may look like. It would be really cool.

You would have to think of it like a bonus rather than a selling point of the game. No one is asking for a roster spot to be filled with a palette swap character. It would literally take one hour of an INTERN's time to fulfill.

Yeah I wouldn't mind having another secret character that is super hard to fight. It isn't like he would be taking up a character slot, much like how in MK9 you could fight MK1 Reptile, MK2 smoke, MK2 Noob and MK2 Jade. It didn't take up any playable slots, it was just a fun little nod to the older games and those characters original appearances.

I would welcome Reptile with open arms if he had a costume design like that. That outfit is epic.

I'd be down. Basically pulling an MK1 Reptile, but next-gen. Especially with the variation system, they could add sweet little tidbits of costumes to him so they wouldn't look EXACTLY the same as their...counterpart. I don't think it would be the awful "palette swap" scenario that everyone fears. Although let's just not say he's a "palette swap" because, apparently, it's pretty much a derogatory term.

I had a dream last night that Reptile was confirmed and he looked like an updated version of his MK9 look, more ninja features on his costume. His mask looked like it had teeth on it, sick as fuck.

Ah I really hope Reptile is in! I also hope they are going to offer klassic costumes again! They are good to have just in case we don't like the character's new design :)

I personally loved his Human designs a lot more than his more reptilian appearances. I just love the whole idea of him disguising himself as a human to deceive others of his true appearance, I just love the secrecy compared to him actually showing us what he really is. If Reptile doesn't have a human/ ninja appearance sure I'll be bummed out, but at this point im just afraid he wont make it due to so many new characters being in MKX so ill just be happy to get a Reptile in this new game no matter what he looks like.

You and me both brotha. I prefer human disguised reptile but would accept him in any form. As long as he retains his ninja appearance as well.

I hate to be that person but ProfessorAnka and I were having a similar party a few weeks ago about Boon's Rain tweets and look how that ended lol. Don't take his twitter too seriously y'all.

While I'd love Reptile to be back, I am not a huge fan of that outfit tbh. Too ninja-ish for my taste

Definitely Fan Made. But kinda cool nonetheless. I like the idea for the variation. The costume.. I honestly wouldnt be upset if reptile looked similar to this design.
