Because death in MK is like a revolving door or the common cold. Characters will get through it and be fine.

I remember there was a thread asking what next character reveal would be disappointing. I love Kung Lao, but I'm very disappointed that he is revealed before the release of the game. I feel like the developers revealed a major plot point in the actual story by giving us Kung Lao now. I would have been happier if I was stuck in suspense with new character reveals and hoping that some classic characters come back. I'm happy that Kung Lao is back, but at the same time I'm not a fan of seeing him die in the previous game and now being an old man. Way to spoil your own story mode.

If I remember Kung Lao was a descendent of the Great Kung Lao. So maybe this Kung Lao is the descendent of the Kung Lao that died in MK9

I think this Kung Lao looks way too old for that to be plausible.

Although he's supposed to be the "last descendant of the Great Kung Lao" so they'd better have a damn good explanation.

Did you remeber that Lui-Kang killed Shoa-Khan after Kahn killed Kung Loa ?. And that a couple of moments laters he was back alive, because of Shang Tsung ?.

Take a good look at Kung Loa he dosn't look Asian so maybe he is not the same Kung Loa as in MK9.

I dunno, I just figured with some of the talk NetherRealm mentions about new generation and moving forward and anything that relates to the likes of "we're not doing old shit anymore" in their interviews, I wouldn't expect any dead characters to return as playable. If they haven't ever said such things, then I wouldn't be feeling a bit bitter about this like I am now. And MK9 felt like that was it, they're moving on, that's the proper send off. I was prepared and willingly able to let go of the past and accept new change to the franchise.

Hell, Charlie just got revealed for Street Fighter 5.

With KL's inclusion do you all think this will be the only member of White Lotus or can we expect a larger representation of White Lotus, personally i'm hoping for the latter i'd be content with them adding Kai on to the roster not so much Liu Kang (he's grown stale to me).

Are you black? It's not appropriate for whites to use considering the historical context...and I don't care about supposed ger/ga differences. I come from the South in the United States. There is a horrible and ugly history associated with that word, particularly us white folks using it. We are NOT far enough removed from this history for this crap to be okay or anything other than insensitive and offensive. Call me a wet blanket, call me PC, it's just dealing with reality in my opinion. That's the history of it from which it is still not disconnected as a word, not when a white person says it. That is my opinion as a student of both History and Sociology.
