The only unconfirmed ninja I really really want in MKX is Ermac.

The others would be more of a bonus, but between those I'd prefer Noob Saibot over the rest. Funny, I didn't enjoy playing as him in MK2011 that much, but I loved his design and I like his name and background and gameplay 'possibilities' with the whole 2-characters-in-1 thing.

I did become a bit more fond of Reptile over the last six months or so, once I got used to his playstyle in MK2011 (elbow dash into njp combos <3). Plus, he was always fun to watch in tourneys when played by high level players like Arturo and Chris G. But then again, who knows what MKX Reptile would be like, gameplay-wise...

So, I take it you're not a fan of Cassie then, considering she has several moves that are pretty exclusive to Johnny and Sonya?

I hate when some of you have this whole "I hate the ninjas" or "there's too many ninjas that get treated better". It's a damn game. I hate seeing those or things close to those two statements. Deal with the fact that ninjas are popular as hell and aren't going anywhere. The sooner you guys accept that, the easier life will be to cope with. Now back on topic, I want a white ninja!

Personally, I love ninjas. When they are actual ninjas, that is.
As for the "MK ninjas", I want them all to be non-ninjas and get their individual and unique appearances, hence why I responded to this thread by saying "None".

I'd love to see Smoke, Ermac and Rain return, but neither of them should look like ninjas, because none of them are a ninja. I love that Ermac fanart made by one of the NRS designers, because he doesn't look like a ninja at all. He's gotten his own unique identity in that design, and hopefully the rest will get that as well.

The startup animation for Cyber Sub-zero's boms is the same as for Cyrax's bombs, they just have a different effect when they explode. And with the teleport they weren't even capable of making it slightly different (as it's the case with Scorpion's and Ermac's teleport), it is the exact same move.
I agree they shouldn't give Iconic moves to other characters, but it's not like they haven't done it before, and recently.

I think he should be more feral, more of a caged animal type of fighter and really be a dangerous character. Maybe someone who's emperor abandoned and he was mistreated, so he fled into Outworld's wilderness where he lost his humanity and came back for vengeance.

We have Sub and Scorp, so I would like Cyborg Sektor. With him that would make 3 which is good enough.

I think I recall it. Honestly, if they're going for the devolution storyline for Reptile, I think it looks great. He'd obviously not be much of a ninja anymore or a bodyguard, but if he looked like that and was basically a predatory beast, yeah, I like. I'm more of a human reptile fan (although I'm open to him being scaly and whatnot), but the I could probably live with Reptile looking like that.

Who knows? Being a feral predator might actually make him interesting again. As long as he doesn't look like he did in MK:DA, I'm good.

Reptile IMO is a shoe-in, I would really like him to be on his own and out for his own glory. Plus I love seeing how cool they can design him, and with the style they're going for in MKX, he'd be amazing.

Noob might be in, I almost don't see him returning. Ermac though, I could totally see. And with Ermac, make him more fucking red than black. So many characters in MK9 were red and black. It gave Ermac no uniqueness when he's mainly the red ninja.

I love Rain too so him, but if I could only choose 2 out of those 3 then Ermac and Noob. I don't think Rain should be a ninja though. I think they should take the mask off of him and give him shoulder length black hair. I feel like that would fit him nicely.

I like Reptile, but honestly I choose story over gameplay. I play with friends for fun, not competitively. So, Reptile is just not necessary to me as sad as it is for me to say that.

I don't care for human smoke, but I know a lot of people do so I'm sure he has a chance.

That's surprising because I'd imagine after all this time people would want to see the characters move away from that.

I think Ermac being the stand out "ninja" character has to do with how little he resembles the rest, comparatively at least.

He should be foreseen for what he is, an amphibian. He could have clothing for his alt, but for his main, he should be de-clothed.

I generally think that more male characters should mainly be de-clothed. ;P

I can't form an opinion about Cassie yet since the game is still in early development. I have to play with her first and tbh I don't think they will give her any actual Johnny or Sonya moves.
For example, I am almost convinced that she will only use the nut-breaker in her XRay and not as a special like her father. The animation we saw could possibly be her Xray as in MK9 there was a video of an early build where Mileena used her multistab without the Xray animation so everyone thought it was a special move. But they changed that so it crossed my mind that the gif we saw of Cassie's nut-breaker was just her Xray without the zoom-in effects.
About the kiss, it also looks like it functions differently than Sonya's special. Well it definitely looks different at least. And if my theory about the Xray is correct, then it might as well just work like Stryker's torch. Meaning it could only be the startup animaton of her Xray.
Even though she has similarities, she looks fun to play as tho. Plus she really does look like a fusion of Sonya and Johnny's fighting styles without being identical. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'd actually be okay with *zero* ninjas.

But knowing how unrealistic that is, and knowing that Scorpion and Sub-Zero are already in the game, I'll go with three. And if I actually had to pick that third ninja, I'd choose Reptile. Stick with the original three.

I remember a few years ago fans here were absolutely SLATING Rain off. There were a handful of fans who defended him to the death and it seemed like most of the forum completely brushed him off as a joke character and wanted nothing to do with him.

I'm delighted to see how many people would want to see him return. Amazing the difference one game can make to a character's popularity. Hopefully Reptile gets that treatment in the next game, he's been falling behind for a while now :)

I honestly wouldn't mind if he returned. I guess you could say I was "converted" into liking Rain, because I use to be a "Rain Hater". I made the mistake of calling Rain a joke and oh boy, I got my ass handed to me.

Yeah, pretty much. I want all of the ninja characters, but I want them to drop the ninja facade with, maybe the exception of Smoke to some degree.
