If I had to choose I choose Noob over Smoke, mostly because I love Noob's shadow and black hole abilities more than Smokes smoke abilities.

This is an absolutely awesome idea. It essentially gives us two characters while only taking up 1 roster spot.

I'm not into the Noob-Smoke thing. Noob is fine without Smoke following him around.
I would like to see something new, not repeat past sh*t. This is a new timeline after all.

No offense but that is a stupid idea. It would be a major fuck you to all Cyrax fans out there. How would you feel if your fav character didn't make it and NRS gave their powers to another character?
As for the 'ninjas' I want in the game, gimme Rain and I am happy. Surprised to see how many people are asking for him. Wouldn't mind Smoke too. Especially since his fanbase grew so much after MK9, I could definitely see him in MKX.

You say none but than again youre a fan of MK? i dont get this, youre a fan of MK since the older games right? Not saying MK is all ninjas but atleast its a part of MK.

However, to me ninjas are a part of MK, besides the pallette swaps memory issues. I remember the ninjas in MK9 to be very well recieved. pallete swap days are history. the ninjas now are different in any aspect.

I love to see some ninjas back, Noob Ermac and Reptile atleast.

The Noob-Smoke would be one that folks will either love or hate. I feel that it'd be a great way for Smoke to cross the realm from ninja into demonic being. Plus it would be a "Dark" turn on the friendship Smoke and Sub had, with him working with Noob Saibot, former Sub Zero.

Let's just say I'd be PISSED if Cyrax only appeared as a variation.

Who do I want to see? Well, since one of mine is already in, I'd like to see Reptile, Ermac, and Noob. That's it. No more, no less. Just these guys.

Smoke used bombs in his MK3 fatality, though, so I don't think it would be too immersion-breaking to give Sektor Cyrax's bombs.

Not saying I want Cyrax out, just that there are examples of characters using other characters moves and weapons.

What is there not to like about this guy? My rose tinted glasses say bring him back.


Noob? Separated I think it shows how much of greater threat he is, being a former SZ. He should be both skilled and feared in combat and he was fantastic solo in MK9. For efficiency sake, and killing two birds with one character you get both Smoke & Noob fans happy with one slot essentially. Three variations with Noob, Smoke, and Noob/Smoke it's hard to disagree with that.

I say bring back ALL the male ninjas from MK9. Give them 1 ninja costume and 1 non-ninja alt. This way both camps are happy.

Add Tremor to the roster.

No female ninjas or cyber ninjas

Khrome and/or a NEW Ninja DLC

We already have Scorpion and Sub Zero. Rain and Ermac should be the other two, they have good story potential.

I would like to see at least one of the female ninjas. (Kitana, Mileena, or Jade) although Mileena isn't technically a ninja in the new timeline.

Though I have a soft spot for all of them, the only ones I'd really want to see are Rain, Smoke and Reptile. For the girls, I'd be happy to see Mileena, Kitana and Jade all return but I'd want to see Skarlet back the most. Maybe with the other girls out of the spotlight she'd have a chance for her character to develop.

Not counting Sub-Zero and Scorpion since they're already confirmed, I would like to see Ermac, Rain, and possibly Noob Saibot to return. For the female ninja characters, it's a bit tough to say since I didn't really like how they were portrayed. Part of me wants to see Mileena return to be given an overhaul of sorts as well as to see how she ties into the Outworld side of the story. With Jade, I would like to see her given a real chance to develop more as a character since I feel that she hasn't had much of a chance. Skarlet can sit out a game or two, and Frost can be saved for later. As for Kitana, it's tough for me to say. I'm sure we'll see her again soon, whether in this game or the next. It's just that I'm skeptical about how she'll be portrayed.

Smoke doesn't need to go back to being a cyborg, nor does he need to go back to being a demon nanomachine colony. Let's give him a brand new enenra form and let him stand on his own, rather than taking steps back into his troubled, shaky development.

The fact that Smoke had a similar move to Cyrax doesn't justify Sektor using a move that was exclusive to Cyrax in MK9 tho. Fans were pretty vocal about characters who stole moves from others so they would be stupid to do it again. If Khameleon replaced Reptile in MKX, even I would be pissed if they gave her his moves and I don't even like Reptile.

As most of the posts point out I think the real question is "which ninjas do you want in the game". Everyone picks out their favorites and shrugs at the lost of any of the rest.

Might as well throw my hat into that double standard and say I mainly want Reptile and/or human Smoke back. In the case of the female ninjas Tanya, Kitana, and/or Skarlet.



As a fellow Sektor fan I must say: don't give the devs any ideas! Given Cyrax has the larger fan base and is a tournament favorite of MK9 its far more likely he'd cannibalize Sektor's moveset, not the other way around

Cyber Sub-zero did use both Cyrax's bombs and teleport though. It was a lame lazy ass decision to make on NRS side, and I hope they never do something like that again, but we can't be really sure.

No, it doesn't justify it. I agree completely on that. However, given the fact that variations are in the game and Cassie appears to use a combination of two other character's moves, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to assume some other characters may behave like Cassie.

And the Cyber ninjas seem like prime candidates for that kind of variation treatment. There's two of them currently (not counting Cyber-Sub), and giving Sektor Cyrax's powers (or vice versa) would essentially allow both characters to be in the game (gameplay-wise) while only using up one character slot.

And, honestly, since we've seen them give moves to other characters in the past, it shouldn't really elicit the reaction of "Wait! He never had that move before!"

Will it piss off fans of the character whos just been made into a variation of another? Sure! Not disputing that.

I don't think we should have a set number if I'm honest. Having a set number of ninjas would deny a character to be in just because they're a ninja, which is completely unfair. If they have something interesting to contribute either story or gameplay wise, I'd welcome them.

But for fun if I had to pick I'd say 4. Scorp, Sub, Ermac, and Reptile. Or pretty much anyone but Rain.

Besides Scorpion and Sub-Zero, Ermac most importantly, then the dark wraith Noob Saibot, and then maybe Reptile (only if he isn't a brain-dead dweeb in the story).

Well there are a lot of characters that have a teleport. You can't really compare that to moves that are exclusive to characters like Liu Kang's bicycle kicks or Cyrax's bombs. Plus Cyber-Sub's bombs functioned a lot differently than Cyrax's bombs. If they did the exact same thing (burst the opponent into the air) it would be Kira 2.0. But they just damaged the opponent or froze him so you can't really call that stealing a move.
After all many special moves between different characters in MK do the exact same thing but in a different way. Skarlet's teleport is not that different from Mileena's; she just appears from behind and stabs the opponent instead of kicking them. Nightwolf's dash is not that different from Baraka's; both are knockdown moves but Nightwolf doesn't have the blades, etc, etc.
All I'm saying is they shouldn't mess with iconic special moves that belong to specific characters. If they can create similar ones that function a lot differently tho, then maybe. If not, then just leave the nets & bombs to Cyrax, knives to Kano, bicycle kicks to Liu Kang, spears to Scorpion, etc.
