Is "Golem" some foreign country's name for Ben Grimm or something?

Because I've only ever known him as "The Thing" and yeah, the Fantastic 4's membership changes from time to time, but as far as I know, there's never been a member named Golem.

it's a yiddish word. The golem is an artificial human created by a Czech rabbi in the middle ages to protect the jewish minority. it is basically a body what can only be activated by placing the written word of Life (Shem) under it's tongue. Also, in medieval fashion the rabbi used it in a murder case when he sent it out to kill a Jewish person who converted to catholicism on his deathbed. The creature got out of control when the rabbi left the Shem in it on the seventh day, which is the day Jahweh rested.

So yes: clay human protector - > Ben Grimm.

I know what a Golem is, thanks.

I'm saying there's nobody in the F4 who uses that name.

I think your point was missed, because it was irrelevant. I don't pay enough attention to the fantastic 4 to really know any of their given names. I was just using an idea that best demonstrated the real point in my message.

Always with the unnecessary nitpicking in this place.

My point is, let there be Tremor in whatever capacity makes him look the coolest and play as seamlessly in MKX as possible.

If Tremor was a training dummy you could beat to a bloody pulp, and just that, then I'd like him in MKX. ^^

If Tremor is to be in MKX, he needs a sand teleport, sand twister, quick sand, etc.

If Tremor is included it'll be a low point for the series up there with Skarlet. Not every fan-service character works. If he was that special then NRS would've had him in another game already besides the awful Special Forces.

Cool. Hey, wasn't Ben Grimm called that by the people on his street after he became The Thing, though? Also, he might be called that in a foreign language comic, for example he is The Creature in Hungarian comics.

It doesn't matter what these characters are called in foreign languages. The correct name is the one given by Marvel. In Danish, Spider-Man is called Edderkoppen, which directly translates as The Spider... but that's not his name, just bad translation.

I disagree on the translation being bad, but yes, it's not the main point. On a sidenote, what happens when you do not have the concept of the original name in the given language?

Imo, if you were to rewamp Tremor, then the name should represent the concept. I still think there might be a way of making him non-connected to the standard earth-fuckaroundry.

NRS has only made one game.. and he didn't fit in mk9 because he wasn't in the trilogy.

Now with MKX he can fit. AND they can correct the wrong that midway did with him due to lack of tech and lack of finances.

I agree 100% here. Tremor wasn't in MK9 becuz the game was a Love Song to the OG trilogy. Yet he still managed to sneak into the Vita version. Which tells us that NRS is aware of Tremor's fanbase. Tremor is next in line of the obscure-rumored to become real, following the tradition of Ermac, Blaze, and Skarlet.

V1: Golem- Has a defensive Rock Form that lasts a few seconds
V2: GeoMancer- use of stone weapons
V3: Sandstorm- Creates quicksand traps

I usually speak for both NRS and Midway in that context.
I would like to believe people knew what i meant in my original post anyway.
