Tremor strikes me as mysterious type of character that doesn't talk a lot, stolen from the Lin Kueij by Kano or whatever Black Dragon member was in control back then, and always used as enforcer/bodyguard and first line of powerful defence.
Tremor would be interesting as a new type of Cryomancer, but then a terramancer, a very very rare breed of creatures, much rarer than sub-zero, it could be so that Tremor is the last of his rare kind, or a mutant species of Cryomancer, as Reptile has already the last-of-his-kind storyline.
I can see Tremor standing behind Kano and who commands Tremor to destroy EVERYTHING (much like shao kahn/Sindel in anihhilation) and then he uses an enormous earth-wave or earthquake (or both) to destroy an entire area/building/city.

But Tremor isn't from the Lin Kuei anymore, he was for the Black Dragon in the only game he was in. And Sektor doesn't like flesh, Tremor would be a automaton-cyborg under Sektors commands. I don't like a cybernetic terramancer, as the robot-hide of sektor can not turn into earth.
Maybe Tremor is stolen by another pre-kano black dragon leader, and has a close bond with the entire gang, but he doubts Kano ruthless leadership, making him an easy prey for Havik or another group/character to steal away from the Black Dragon.
Some minions are stronger than the leaders, the reason is mostly intelligence. Tremor wouldn't strike me as the most intelligent character, Kano can talk him over pretty easily maybe.

In most games/movies/whatever earth-based creatures have regeneration, wind characters/creatures never have healing by wind.
Fire and water healing is possible, but I doubt Rain makes it in, and the only fire creature that could heal himself would be Blaze, not Liu Kang or Scorpion, they aren't made from fire.

How about this?
Tremor is a young boy of 7 - 12 years old when he discovers his special ability to move the earth. It is very rare ability to have even amongst the rare cryomancer's the lin kuei are known for. Talks of his abilities travel fast and soon the Black dragon hears of it. He is taken from the lin kuei by the black dragon (before the cyber initiative.) fast forward 15-20 years and Tremor has been Raised by Kano (tentative) and has climbed the rungs to the top of the black dragon clan with help from his abilities and his cunning.

I like it, but I think it would be more interesting if Tremor doubts Kano's leadership to give Tremor some extra side-storyline and some extra flavor! Instead of taking over the Black Dragon, Tremor plots with another character to take over the Black Dragon clan from Kano, maybe Havik or a new character all together.

Havik should have many plots, not only just in the chaos realm and the netherrealm, he searches to create chaos in every realm, and the Black Dragon is his best bet in earthrealms chaos. And I like ugly characters, much more realistic than only handsome photo-models such as Cage and Sonya Blade.

He can create his own chaos agenda.
Havik is a cool guy and I wouldn't want to see him working with the BD.
Besides, the BD care about money and not so much about chaos.
Anyway I think were going off-thread here.

What's ur story on the "Antaeus"?
Antaeus is a greek giant that battles Hercules, he's the son of Gaia (Titan of the earth) and Neptune (god of the sea) and is very arrogant because nobody can beat him in battle because he's half giant and half earth elemental he heals all damage done to him, at least his mother earth does.
The MK version of Antaeus would be a terramancer much like Tremor, maybe a son/ally/whatever for the God of Earth/ground, and ally to Fujin.
His moves would be mainly about stone and earth, not about sand and mud. But I still prefer Tremor over him.
I like Tremor to be much like Avalanche from X-men/Brotherhood in behavior.

I want the earth bending warrior to really stun us with his move sets. After seeing Raiden's gameplay I am more than convinced NRS is capable of delivering what I envision.
Imagine him being able to move the earth (the actual ground of the level) during button combos. He punches, kicks, punches; the final punch sending his opponent flying. Then to finish the combo correctly you hit away-(button) and he send a chunk of earth flying from behind the opponent hitting them in mid air sending them flying back towards [insert name-akaTremor] and he has a chance to land another hit.
The chunk of level that he would move would have to come from the background of the map to prevent craters on the play field. ORRR they can make the crater mend itself back to normal as if Tremor part of tremors attack. Therefore avoiding th issue of having a destructible environment.

The problem with the levels is that this will not always work....
A earth-wave for example is really cool, but on the level with the ships and waves there isn't any earth to draw from...
This kinda makes me sad, as I can see Tremor being that earthquake-only character while he has so much potentional...

Damn. Ya your right. Unless they somehow show graphics for the earth being lifted beneath the water and have the water act accordingly (like a submarine surfacing effect). That's asking a lot tho..

Because we have like 25 fire-users, a water user (that is never used) and a Wind user (That will probably see the light of day again after 15 years)
Some people just like the elements and the possibilities for moves. + Tremor has a pretty interesting backstory about being with the Lin Kuei first and with the black dragon later.

And don't mind me, I'm just making fun of the community's constant, obsessive-compulsive need to assign elemental powers to terrible fanwanky characters. It's as cute now as it was a decade ago.
