I don't see how Kano looks less like himself. Yes, he took some design ideas from other characters, but saying that he has lost his identity is ridiculuously over the top.

Kano's face is still his own. His moveset is definitely his own. This is defnitely Kano, not Kano Hao or Jackson Kano.

Yeah Kano's move is definitely a special attack that can be EX / Meterburned. I pointed it out in the gif (I don't know why they're not loading correctly).

Kano Combo



Combo systems have "gravity" with juggling strings and specials so you can't just do them infinitely. The juggled character will go airborne and land more quickly upon multiple launches so another Kano EX / MB melee grenade might relaunch to continue to the combo but probably not for long.

Blue is my favorite color so I hear you and agree Blue would make more sense. I'd rather see Red /Neon Blue / Neon Purple than the traffic lights.

This. This is the best Kano has ever looked. Sure he has been updated but honestly if he came back the same as mk9 or other previous games I would have been pissed. Would anyone want that?

Blue would be sick, his alt in MK3 was blue so I could see it matching him too. Purple is always nice, but i'm bias toward yellow so that can stay :P

I kinda know why they did it, blue generally does not stand out as much.

Maybe they didn't go for blue since that is Sub-Zero and Raiden's thing. Both have different parts of their outfits glow in that color as we've seen from the different variations so maybe that was part of the reason. To differentiate him from the rest of the characters.
About purple, I think they consider it more of a girls color. Mileena, Sindel, Tanya all have had a purple glow to their powers in the past. Jax used purple too but since they went crazy with Kano's cybernetic enhancements, maybe they didn't wanna make him too similar to Jax.
I personally love the green but I'm a bit meh about the yellow. I would also prefer blue or purple tbh.

It's no coincidence that purple/pink is more of a girls thing in MK when it comes to outfits and powers tho. I am not saying it should be, I am just making an observation.

I'm not sure I agree. Sindel, Mileena and Li Mei wear purple and pink throughout the series, but there's also male characters who do so.

- Rain in all his appearances
- Reptile in MK4
- Reiko in all his appearances (kinda a reddish purple/maroon)
- Cyber Smoke in MKD-MKA (I'm not sure if his UMK3 appearance was purple)

Not to mention the alt colours being purple to some male characters as well.

Red is also considered a "girls colour" in alot of cultures (in Denmark it is usually accepted that red is for girls, blue is for boys), but that colour is alot more prominent amongst male characters than female characters.

In Japan, red is the colour used alot for main male hero characters, so of course what is accepted as "boys colours" and "girls colours" is different considering the culture.

Also, did you know that pink was considered a masculine colour while blue was considered more feminine in the 1920's?

However, prior to the World War 1 and up to the 1940's, the colour pink was as a female signifier while blue was used for male. And this has been accepted ever since.. Except that now when women wear blue there's no one pointing that out as her wearing a "boys colour", but if a man wears pink it's suddenly unacceptable because that's a "girls colour"...

It is one of the things that irks me alot. So much for gender equality...

I had a dream last night that Cyrax was announced/confirmed. There was a trailer for him and everything lol its weird because im not even a Cyrax fan, like I don't dislike him or anything but I don't consider my self a fan of his.

I've had the same dream, but with Tanya. And I've never dreamt about something like that before, not even with Jade... so that was rather odd. XD

Lol same here! I usually don't dream about that kind of stuff and the time I did it was about a character who 1. Isn't even in my top 5 favorite characters (I like Cyrax but he isn't my favorite) and 2. I already had it in my mind that he wont be returning so dreaming that he was all of a sudden confirmed for MKX was pretty strange.
