I only skimmed this thread so I apologize if this has already been said, but what if Boon took the tweet down because Fujin was NOT in the game?? Not to rain on everybody's parade, I just think its odd he deleted it. I mean I know he hints at characters all the time but you can kinda always tell he's trolling, whereas the Fujin tweet is very straight forward for Boon.

Maybe he deleted it because it sounded too much like an obvious confirmation? And besides, including RT in a retweet isn't his usual style at all.

Teasing characters is something he does. He would only delete it if it were THAT obvious of a wink

I was also thinking that. He deleted it for one of these two reasons. 1) It was too straightforward and he thought it was too obvious so he removed it. 2) As you said, he was making a joke, realized how it came off, and didn't want to get people's hopes up. NRS is based in Chicago, the Windy City, and are in the dead of winter. Number 2 unfortunately seems more likely to me.

I hope Fujin is in the game, but I don't think it's wise to get excited just yet.

Well, in my personal opinion, if I were to compare Fujin to those 2 characters you listed, I'd say he has these going for him:

-Fujin taking over as the protector of Earthrealm warriors, and being passed the torch(or taking it) from Raiden, would make for an interesting story arc.

2. More Gameplay Potential
-There were some definite stinkers in the 3D era, and that could partly be due to the 3D fighting gameplay/mechanics themselves, but some character's abilities just don't seem to have as much potential as others. Fujin certainly would be filed under the "has tons of untapped gameplay potential that can flourish in a 2D environment" category. Wind as a tool in gameplay, is currently a unique ability. Whereas Tanya and Li Mei, doing flip kicks, particle projectiles, spinnig low dash, and dash attacks, aren't exactly oozing with untapped potential, nor do they strike me as creative. I'm not saying they can't be given better specials, but Fujin certainly has that potential already there.

On top of those 2 main reasons, Tanya was featured in 2 main games, as was Li Mei. Fujin only had his 1, his debut appearance, so I'm personally more eager to see his story expanded upon and him getting more fleshed out, than characters we saw get another game under their belt.

That's my take. Just my own opinion on what you asked.

Do people really esxpect Kitana fans to act like normal people? These are grown adults who obsessively refer to a fictional character as 'My Princess'. Well, at least he is something xD.

But still I would really like Fujin to come back in MKX, and they have to add his flying knee move as a common move for all variations.

well the characters I want are: Kai,Reiko,Fujin,Bo'Rai'Cho,Li Mei,Tanya,Havik and Shinnok. So yeah I'm just hoping for them to come back, to me its all about the gameplay.

He FOR SURE should have been in Deception with Raiden's storyline. Some God-like person would have intervened with that whole Raiden going nuts mess. Such a wasted opportunity.

I saw the tweet myself, just didn't want to make a thread about it. Really excited if Fujin is revealed soon, although it could be a deconfirmation like others have said. He's an awesome character and really deserves a chance in MKX.

Ugh, Fujin, We need to talk about something more important, KITANA!

I propose we change MKOnline to MKEdenia, no not enough, MKKitana where everything we talk about is Kitana related. And if anyone wants to talk about something else, it is ok as long as Kitana is mentioned as well in a pure, beautiful, and royal way.
