For the OP, I don't know if I'd go so far as to say "Let's wait for the next MK game." The roster is nothing special but it's not MKDA levels of bad. All the new characters are very interesting which is something that doesn't usually happen in MK.

Just enjoy the amazing gameplay and the next game will have the likes of Baraka,Smoke and Noob.

Eight brand new characters, all of which look awesome, and many returning characters that look the best they've ever been.

I've never wanted to play as so many characters. This is the best MK roster ever.

Just hold onto hope that the future hopeful DLC will be as in depth and exciting as Injustice(...if not more). And by exciting I do not mean the announcement of Pinhead, Bloody Mary, The Leprechaun & Angela as the characters.

It turned out to be another popularity contest minus some oddities like Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn, and Baraka. Perhaps we shouldn't bitch about rosters the next time. I was looking forward to new characters since they turned out not to be Deception level filler crap (barring the likes of Ashrah and Havik.)

As for the roster, I'm happy with it. There are definitely 2 or 3 I would swap out but that goes for pretty much every roster I've seen. MKX is special in that it has made characters appealing to me that I have never been interested in before.

Never has there been so many characters in an MK game I would give serious consideration to maining.

I wouldn't quite say anything negative but I will contribute to this thread.

I feel as though the MKX roster is a little too safe. I really feel as if Kano, Kung Lao, Raiden, Liu, Jax, Sonya, Johnny, Quan Chi, Kitana, Mileena, Reptile and Ermac didn't ALL need to be in this roster. I LOVE the new characters and I love the direction this game is going but I've simply been waiting for the next era of MK for too long to now have to wait for MK2019 for a chance at moving forward in terms of the same old faces.

Let me put it like this. These are the characters I was hoping to see in MKX:

Shinnok
Noob Saibot
Havik
Hotaru
Bo Rai Cho
Dairou
Fujin
Shujinko
Motaro
Drahmin
Lucifer

Out of all of these characters, I see Shinnok... I am extremely psyched for this game's story. I just can't help but think "really?" while looking at the returning characters portion of the roster.
I also realize that we may be looking at MKX as a way to give these iconic characters a deserving send off in the light of the newcomers and the next generation. SO I trust NRS and we'll see.

I love the fact there is new characters, just my self and others were expecting something totally different, and ed, beran and NRS sold that....and did not deliver....

New, turned out to be kids, with a few non descendant new ones.....

Why not have a new red dragon member, to contest kano?

Why put parents in with the next gen whos meant to take over? ITs just a wasted opportunity.....

Im upset lookin at the roster that I am literally interested in less than half of the roster...I will never touch liu kang, kung lao, kitana, jax, jacquie, sonya, cage, ermac, erron black or cassie....could I deal with sonya and cage coming back if the others had not? of course, why? coz they lived through mk9 and were relevant...the others are not...

jax, jacquie, liu, kung, kitana, all should have stayed dead to allow for new and 3d era... thus making the roster balanced an interesting..

Shinnok, Tremor, Erron Black, Takeda, Just to name a few. Feels good to me. Only ones I'm not really liking is Kotal and Kang. Rest are fine.

That better roster isn't going to come no matter what anyone says dont put yourself through that long ass wait just to be disappointed again

I think the roster is fine. There have never been so many characters that I genuinely wanted to play. I'm pretty sure I'm going to spend the first couple hours after midnight release to just play in practice mode and do some matches against the CPU, maybe some online play and then try story mode in the morning. You either like the roster or you don't. If it bothers you that much, save your money and don't buy the game.

The roster is very boring looking but the game looks awesome so I am still so hyped for it. There are many roster changes I would make give. The chance but I just can't get over the exclusion of my two favs Noob and smoke they are such popular and interesting characters I mean for neither of them to make it in is just strange but I can always hope for DLC I guess!

The next roster will probably include Jax, Johnny Cage and Sonya.......so have a good time waiting for it.

We get it you don't like the roster smh. Well, you have like 4 years to wait. If you don't like the roster don't buy the game than. Why don't you tweet Ed Boon and NRS about this problem instead of whining to us
