I'm guessing the game will be revealed at GameTrailers TV's E3 Special on June 11. I asked Geoff Keighley (the host), on twitter, if he can give any hints about any exclusive reveals and he said that they'll have over a dozen big exclusives.

I think it means just that. 8 days till the world cup. Ed Boon most apparently enjoy watching soccer.
EDIT-I really do think we're going to get some mk9 news in 8 days. As someone already posted, Spike has a pre-E3 special where they'll be unvieling a bunch of exclusives on the 11th. Exclusive MK vs DC footage premiered on Spike 2 years ago.
I'm feeling really confident about this. Alas, the wait is almost over.

I think we are just setting ourselves up for disappointment dude. Nothing will happen in 8 days.

Even if they don't announce the game on June 11 at GTTV's E3 Special, I'm sure they'll announce it during E3. I think we'll definitely find out about the game in about 7-14 days.

This isn't really news but I thought I'd post it.

Geoff Keighley (GTTV host) revealed (on twitter) that they'll show the first Dead Space 2 gameplay footage at their E3 Special. I then said "SWEET! I'm hoping for some Force Unleashed II, Arkham Asylum II and maybe the reveal of the new Mortal Kombat. Just guessing." He then replied "we got some good stuff coming!"

I'm not saying it's confirmation that they'll announce MK there, but he didn't have to reply. So, I'm guessing at least one of those games will be featured at their show. Maybe I should have only asked about MK

Hec posted this this morning. It seems to point out in a cryptic way that MK10 may have 3 fatalities and possible animalities? I wonder if he is talking about the next MK being 10 or if he is just speaking for the future. Than again he could be just saying it to get people going because he poked at the fact no one shown him appreciation for info and hints. Hec,if you read this...weather people say it or not they do actually appreciate it. I know I do.

Yes, but the MK team has said that for years. They always say there's more that we don't know or even secrets in games that we haven't discovered. So either they are masters at hiding the littlest bits of info in random spots unsearched, or we as a community are just too lazy to really try. Of course there's always the possibility they are just lying, don't know what we know, or the info that's hidden isn't important enough to really be thought of as anything secret.

When you get down to it though...it's just info. Info is only SO important IMO. My life is filled enough with other things that discovering Reptile is in the game or that it's a either a sequel or remake just isn't worth the time or effort. It will all be revealed soon enough, and it will be more than just a little cryptic discussion point to beat to death. That's why I don't understand why so many people crave for the littlest bit of info to the point where they start hanging on certain member's every prediction or take on what it could be. It's fun to speculate, don't get me wrong, but it's just a game afterall. It will come, become old news, it will pass, and 2 years later it repeats. Then again I don't know other's ages or lifestyles here, so who cares what I think. lol I did the same stuff and used to get all amped up and impatient during the MK:DA-MK:A period.
