Damn, _JRF_ still did not answer...

Ed Boon just tweeted a link to an interview with the actor who plays Johny Cage in the "Rebirth" video.

One of the more interesting things he says is that he does Motion Capture for videogames, and just finished for two up coming games he can't mention .......... I bet one of them is the new Mortal Kombat.

He also mentions that WB HAS INDEED seen the short, and I'm assuming they have seen it way before it was posted online.

Maybe its possible that this short was filmed long enough ago that WB decided to push the game in this direction.

I still don't see how Warner Brothers would release a movie based on one concept, and a video game based on a completely different concept.

The Street Fighter Movie game tweet from awhile back really makes me think that the game is in fact going to be based of this vision of Mortal Kombat.

I hope you're wrong about the game being based on that video. I really do.

I wouldnt mind kicking some Dr. Baraka ass and the new "Jacks" is actually worthwhile.
