Are you sure it's named Jade Desert after the character and not after proper jade? the material? I think that the name of the stage has nothing to do with the confirmation or not of any character in this game.

Jade's Desert from UMK3, which is returning for MK 2011, is absolutely named after the character Jade who was introduced in MKII.

For proof, think about the fact that in MK Annihilation, Liu Kang fought JADE in the DESERT.

however boon, and his co. said that its just named dessert this time around. Even the official wb personal that had the pictures sent to everyone said it was just called The Dessert.

If you watch this video interview with Ed Boon at GamesCon, http://gamescom.gamespot.com/video/6274225/, from 00:19 to 00:37 discusses re-imaged backgrounds returning from MK3, specifically the Bell Tower and the Desert. Since it was Jade's Desert when it was originally introduced, and since it's the same background just reimagined, it's still her desert whether they're changing the name or not. It'd be like calling Goro's Lair just "The Lair"... it's still his.

Hmm, not bad little review. I noticed in some videos that the sweeps seemed to be connecting midrange almost lol. Maybe they will fix it. Anyway he/she was just mashing buttons so thats why he/she lost.

its so sad seeing all these bad MK players doing reviews of the game. i LOLed when the guy called low attacks cheap..

these sites that hire people to do these reviews should have some one who atleast knows how to play a fighting game do the review.

That Sub vs, Scorpion vid was awesome. I just wish people would stop using Sub and Scorpion so much...

Wow... I wasn't expecting this much video. I like it.
I even liked Sub-Zero's fatality more than when it was filmed at that conference a couple of days ago. The quality is much better and I like the tidbits in the animation, which makes more "lifelike". Although I share the opinion of some others, that Sub-Zero could pull of better things than a torso rip (and since Johnny Cage and Mileena have similair once).

Love the winning pose of Mileena. I actually thinks it's pretty funny. This MK really has the best winning poses so far. So good you wouldn't mind skipping a fatality.

For the Sindel speculation on this thread. I think she will be in the game. Simply because she was the main reason why MK3 happened in the first place. After losing MK tournament again in MKII, Shao Kahn only found a new way into Earth Realm through Sindel.
So if this game is a retelling, if Raiden changed so much Shao Kahn would not get to Sindel, MK3 would not happen. And we know 100% sure the MK3 part will be in.

The other Scorpion teleport is probably his X-RAY move because it used his super bar. You can also audibly hear the guy being disappointed that it was blocked.

Game is looking good so far and I'm optimistic, but I'm not yet convinced that this can be a competitive fighter. I recall Boon and co. also had high hopes for MKvsDC with all the balance and DLC talk prior to that game. I bought it day one and it was pretty disappointing.

Kitana's hair is also ridiculously bad right now, but I think it'll be fixed and is one of the reasons they haven't released official gameplay videos with her yet.

Also I heard awhile back that the deadpool looked merged with goro's lair. perhaps outworld wins and the arenas are by-and-large merger levels. Which may account for the pit 2 having pit one bottom as well.

It might start it but you get a super special move that does more damage so it might have been that
