Animation still looks stiff to me. Models are still cartoony.

And what's up with Kitanas hair in the air?

I think it depends on who's playing it. The animations looked alot smoother when it was demonstrated by the MK team, but looks jerky when you give the game to someone who hasnt played the game before.


Am I the only one noticing this?

Ok, its still very early to judge, but, from what we have seen so far in this two links:

1) Mileena's Win Pose is FANTASTIC. My absolute favorite so far. This girl has really stepped up in huge jumps and to great levels. You can tell a lot of time and attention has been dedicated for Mileena ever since her MKD comeback.

2) The gameplay looks smooth, fluid, and fun. The characters don't look stiff or boring. They are all unique....YAY!!!!

3) Kitana's hair looks horrible. Again, this might be due to the game being early in development, however, she looked terrible in the final build of MKvsDC, so, I'm not keeping my hopes up for much improvement. The hair looks just as bad as it did in that game. Why did they have to change her awesome hair from MKDA?

4) Sektors Win Pose is very cool.

5) Sub-Zero's new Fatality didn't really convinced me. I don't know, maybe its the thought of way too many torso rips, or just that I was hoping for something more creative that had to do with ice. I'm sure I'll like it more when I see it in hd quality, but the overall concept is kind of boring (I do love how he didn't tear him apart instantly though, that was a nice touch).

Is there anything else we missed? Did they show any other new victory poses or special moves or fatalities?

Can't wait to see the other vids.

Let me tell you this about Diablo 3... it's canceled, they did the same to Starcraft GHOST... they just ignored it for a year and then told a year later it was canceled.

I'm sure it has something to do with that horrible World of Warcraft... i hate that game, Diablo III was a real must!

Wow, you know nothing at all. No it isn't canceled, that's just how Blizzard operates.

Blizzard makes cool games (except for WOW) but they are master torturers for their fans.

Kitana's hair is ridiculous.
Maybe it's a test for what Sindel will have.

Why can't they just bring back kitana's UMK3 look. It was the best. That bun was very chic and sexy... plus not in the way... you know, she's a ninja-assaain.

Dumb opinions on WoW aside, Blizzard knows about marketing. Look at this poll and you'll see the evidence of it. 84,000+ people polled, and Diablo 3 is the winning game. I really see no problem with what WB is doing PR wise. There are much more deprived fans out there.

Kitana has kinda like sindels hair, and the big statue in the desert is from a big Sindel head.

Uhm may I have my own opinion please? I hate WOW, I think it's an addiction and NOT a game.

It ruined many naieve peoples lives.

Other games like Starcraft, Warcraft and Diablo are among my favorite games tho.

But everybody can have his own opinion, so don't call me dump because I dislike WOW okay?

World of Warcraft doesn't kill people, people kill people. But if you're playing WoW, you won't have time to kill people. So WoW saves lives.

I never said you couldn't have your opinion or said you were dumb, I said your opinion was dumb, and it is. WoW is not an "addiction" any more than Starcraft is. South Korea has an entire culture devoted to Starcraft, not WoW. Would you call them addicts? Any game can be an addiction. Addictions only become addictions if you let them. Blaming a game for the weakness of people is rather laughable. So again, generalizing opinions are dumb to me.

Anyway, no more of that. Back on topic.

Maybe it's because I don't care for Kitana and probably won't use her much, but I don't know why you guys are nitpicking her hair. Sure, it looks stiff, but I don't know what you expect.

I think people are upset because all the characters look so cool and smooth, and then there is Kitana's hair, which looks like a big bad-hair day disaster... with too much wax and hairgel...

I'm sure they will fix it in time, she looks very unfinished.

People didn't like her hair in DA, MKvsDC, and now this. I say they just give her a buzz cut and call it a day.

They should give Sonya blade short male-like hair but still feminin, Kitana a pony tail, sindel the long gothic hair and Jade the knot, and maybe Sheeva the high hair thing from previous games.

the video in update #6 shows us a very powerful combo used by all pax players. if you did not notice it i will reveal the first mk9 combo to you all! here goes: jump, jump, uppercut. jump, jump, uppercut. jump, jump, uppercut. jump, jump, freeze ball, THEN uppercut.

wallah. the above is a brutal combo that will surely lead you to victory. also, this just in... 9 out of every 10 public testers are subzero ;p

Updated with a new video via Youtube. Great quality on this one, I really like the looks of the gameplay (even if these guys aren't that great). Sub-Zero freezing himself to catch Scorpion trying to Teleport Punch looked great. They've reworked the freeze animation too, which is nice to see.

Real cool vids would like to see Kung Lao and Night Wolf in action.
