In the opening cutscene, the robe has a slightly purple tint (I would call it more indigo, which is in between but more of a shade of blue IMO), and he walks on his feet. But in the in-game graphics, like that brief scene where he and Raiden are about to fight at the Shaolin Temple attack, he's floating and his robe looks more blue like it should.

That was one of the weird things about MKSM, the in-game costumes looked slightly different, and always either more accurate or just better in general, than the ones in the FMVs.
