You would rather complain or dislike his appearance when almost every fucking goddamned piece of video/trailer/vignette/whatever the fuck is released to us shows us that Reptile gets his ass handed to everyone that fights him? And not once have I seen a video of Reptile actually looking remotely interesting to play as? Because right now, things are looking like Reptile has to be the shittiest character to play as because he gets his ass kicked every single video. And I have yet to see something cool about this character since MK4 was released.

Reptile has been the butt monkey of the series for a long time though. Even Bo' Rai Cho gets more respect than him. Even JOHNNY CAGE gets more respect than him. And Johnny Cage got garbage thrown at him in his own ending.

I love Reptiles design, and what everyone who claims he looks like a "bird" doesn't understand is that some species of Dinosaurs had beaks, it's fitting for Reptile and I'm glad that the MK team went back to the prehistoric era to find inspiration for the redesign a character. This is my favorite Reptile. Edit: I'm aware you didn't actually say he looks like a "bird" but I'm assuming that's what you meant, correct me if I'm wrong, thanks.

Plus I think the fight is all one fight, and Shang changed into Kano then Reptile.

It actually looks like his face in MKvsDC, which is my favorite of his appearances.

As for Kano and Shang Tsung, their costumes resemble too much of their MKvsDC costumes. Could it be NRS has begun to get lazy?

This is great news! Loving the vignette of Liu, i've never been a big Liu Kang fan but i'm liking his design and the minimal aspects of game play we've been shown. Nice.

Liu Kang looks the best he's ever looked and he fights like MKSM, flames on the hands and everything! Liu Kang is looking better than ever. He definitely looks similar to his MKDC model, but not exactly and I think it's an improvement over MKDC. (And that is definitely not a heart rip, that's just a through-and-through punch.)

Shang Tsung looks awesome and I rather dig the costume even though there is a lack of the trademark yellow/gold in it. I agree with what was said about his youthful, attractive-ish face completely fitting into the snake motif. It makes him look more sneaky.

I can't believe how great all of these stages are looking! Amazing job upping the ante on that one NRS. Although, like Razor, I miss the "helmet-castle" lurking in the background with the orange/red portal behind it.

Bo Rai Cho better just have a cameo. Or DLC at the very most.

I have to disagree, if only because I really, really, really dislike that facemask. It's excessively large.

I'm with you on that, Cyborg-Hero. While I generally prefer the MKII versions of almost every MK1 character, I've always hated the MKII ninja mask. On the sprites, you can't really see it much but on the character select screen, bios and endings, it really stands out as being quite ugly.

FINALLY Shang Tsung! The greatest sorcerer to walk the MK Universe! I for one am in love with this outfit it has MK v.s. DC Universe similarities and that's exactly what I wanted,with a bit of a mix up and this is extraordinary to say the least! Kano looks pretty wicked glad he's in I know his fans have been waiting patiently for him :) As for Liu Kang what can I say? Damn he is a reminiscent of Bruce Lee the more I see him happy he's in :)

that vignette was neat i really like the designs of both Kano and Shang. if thats the way they look cool. I do hope he can morph its been too long.

Am I the only one who seems to love the concept of "fist all the way through chest? I mean.... dude... that's freaking BRUTAL. I would prefer it to be a two fisted thing, and to not have the "hold bloody fist up" pose, which does seem very Kano heart-rip-esque...

But seriously, imagine if it were two fists (or even one) jammed through the chest, and LEFT there. Victim goes all BLARGHRGEHOAIGHEIORGHEOGHIO looking at the arm sticking into their ribcage and then bLARGH dead.

Liu looks pretty cool for once, be nice to see him again. I like that he looks so "nice"... not everyone in MK has to be total badass


The only thing I really have to say is... can't wait to x-ray the shiz out of him with Sonya I really hope we get to see their fight on the rooftop, with him ripping out her hair and her tossing him to the streets below. That was one of my absolute fave details of his MKDA costume, the lock of her hair on his chest.



Shang.... I'm not opposed to it. I like the youthful looks and how asiany he is. And I actually quite liked his DC look... but it could do without the ninja-style V thing... make his outfit more tight-fitting robes like MKII, or even go the whole hog and make it closer to MKI but with the younger face.



And seriously that stage looks mad incredible. I remember when DOA4 came out on 360 thinking "man I wish MK's arenas were that good"... and now it's like.... shatting on all of them. These aren't just static backgrounds, these look like genuine places. Nothing seems to be there "just cos"... they actually look like a proper place. Loves it
