I don't mind Kratos being in MK at all once he doesn't take one of the original roster places.

He has no story mode so it's all good IMO.

Having said that though, I still would rather he be a DLC bonus character.

I don't remember his games being critically panned. I remember reviewers thought it was a decent gimmick.

I think the second was reviewed pretty negatively. The first had more mixed reviews (upper 70s perhaps?) if I remember correctly.

It was almost 9 years ago so I could be wrong.

Seriously? There are people actually complaining about Kratos being in this game? Who else could you put in this game that fits the bill? Mocap..., chameleon...,Mavado...,Hsu Hao..., cmon these characters are complete trash and I can easily and I mean easily continue to name off more trash characters in the MK universe.

You think of MK you think of blood and gore, you think of GoW you think of the same shit. If he ends up broken then the developers need to just retire because they obviously can't play test or make a game worth a shit. If you are worried about tournament play then you should be well aware that he can easily be banned and if you are worried about different cast members for different consoles it doesn't matter because any real tournament uses the same console for the game year after year and they tell you way before hand, EX: SF4/SSF4 Evo/NRC/SCR/ect System PS3. If you are serious about tournament play then youd have the correct system for that. If you arn't then who cares? He fits the MK cast better then 80% of the shit they made in last decade.

God of War IV: Adventures in "Mortal Combat"

I actually don't like it if Kratos if is in Mortal Kombat 2011. To me, enough cross over, already. I love the God of War series and I enjoyed MK vs. DCU. But I don't know about everyone else, but when I first heard of MK vs. DCU, I was kind of disappointed. All the talk after Armageddon was that the next MK games will be in the next generation technology. I was hoping that the story would pick up from Armageddon, but it wasn't. MK vs. DCU was just an alternate that never happen. And now MK2011, while the creators say it's picks up after Armageddon with Raiden sending a message to his earlier self before MK1 started. But let's face it, in reality, I bet the creators probably could not think of a better story to continue on, so they pull this together and it really a revamp of MK1-3. So no new storyline we don't know about. While from what I read Kratos will not have a storyline at all, I still don't want him in this. I want a pure Mortal Kombat game and hope there at least some changing storylines.

I feel sorry for NRS. They truly are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Nothing makes MK fans happy...nothing. If it wasn't this, it would be some other stupid reason. Seemingly the best gameplay in the series, an interesting take(albeit a backtrack) on the story, even a return to an M rating...and still...we bitch.
