I can't help but feel there is some intense overreaction going on. I see Kratos as something extra, a bonus, there if you want it, ignorable if you don't. His presence isn't taking anything away from the game's content - it's still the same game, and it will still be the same game whether he's in it or not...

Yes! Thank you! HE'S A GUEST CHARACTER. NOT A FUCKING CROSSOVER.

People keep saying that you can ignore Kratos but I don't think you are keeping online gamers in mind. Not all people get this game for the offline modes. I'd just fuckin hate it if I have to fight Kratos as Kung Lao in the Shaolin Temple. I mean... How? How does that make sence? There is nothing that comes to (my) mind that justifies this.
But there is no point in arguing about this. If he is in, he is in. I just hope this turns out to be a big joke played on the MK community for the sound leaks.

Its a video game? I don't see how it doesn't make sense. If he's in the game as a character then sometimes you'll have to fight him online. Just learn how to fight against him. So what if you don't like him in the game? A lot of people have regular MK characters they don't particularly like. However I'd venture to say they learn to fight against the character still for the sake of online play.

I'm just saying if you're going to play a fighting game online shouldn't you be learning how to play against all the characters anyway?

If you could read and understand basic chronology, you may have been able to respond to my post with something that was relevant or even moderately related to it.
And for the sake of the other poster, since you can't respond to him with relevance either. He's not afraid of fighting Kratos for lack of skill, he doesn't want to fight him because he doesn't belong in Mortal Kombat. The same shit that's been said over and over but is being disputed cause the lot of the forum like to suck Kratos' dick.

Yes of course anyone who disagrees with you is just "sucking Kratos' dick". Yup, you're always right about everything, Luca. *thumbs up*

Why the fuck is this thread still going on?
Kratos doesn't belong in MK. Some people are offended by his inclusion. Some, Kratos fanboys, revel in it.
Either opinion is fine, but since this game is a tribute to Mortal Kombat, largely devoid of gimmicks, logic would favor those who prefer him not to make an appearance.

That's really funny, considering I've never even played God of War.

I have no right to a dissenting opinion, apparently.

I'm convinced you argue just to argue.
You can want him in the game, I don't care. Just don't whine when people challenge your opinion.
Mortal Kombat has be full of gimmick after gimmick for years. Like Sonic the Hedgehog, fans have been pissed. We just want MORTAL KOMBAT! That's all.
Interview after interview has supported this outlook. It's gotten a lot of people excited. Then they throw in another gimmick. People are upset.
What more have you to say?

Aww. Poor baby :(
You really let things that Luca say bother you, Alexander... Just ignore him. You two have been fighting on a lot of threads, leave each other alone guys.
Last time, Kratos is cool, but I'd still prefer there were no guest characters, whether or not you can buy them. Just don't get their point.

Alex and Luca...
Try be mature and just leave eachother alone.
Though your endless bitch fights are rather fun to look at, it fills up threads and it is unfair to the ones who made the threads and the other members on this board. So please, just knock it off and just ignore eachother.
Either that or take your bitch fights to PM, please.
Thank you.

What Demon is saying is that players will inevitably have to fight Kratos online, and when that happens, Kratos is going to negatively factor into the artistic presentation. Seeing Kratos in the Courtyard is going to screw with game's atmosphere.
If someone repainted the Mona Lisa with Zebron in the background, it's going to affect the artistic style. People could rationalize it by saying "you can ignore Zebron" or "but it's a really GOOD portrait of Zebron," but the fact is that everything counts when it comes to visual art.

I'm pretty pumped for Kratos in this game but I'd rather have him be DLC as to not take any development time away from characters of the original MK roster. But even if he's on the main roster I am not going to not buy the game like certain people on here. If you were pumped for this game then all-of-a-sudden a character you do not want is in the game, you're just going to abandon it? That's a little extreme.
