I disagree.

"Mysterious" may be interesting for, like, the first appearance of a character, but it gets old. It gets old very, very fast. A character with no personality and no backstory is not a character at all, just an empty gimmick. Noob was strongest as a character in the two games where he has an actual story: Trilogy and Deception.

The whole point of the game having this story mode and all these intro quotes and things like that is to finally take the time and flesh out all the underdeveloped, one-dimensional and two-dimensional characters.


He would still have the backstory, as it regards to Sub Zero and Scorpion, etc.... but you don't need EVERY character to have an intricate background. Noob, IMO, is the kind of character that a simple backstory that evolves into an unexpected, but exciting climax. The first few chapters of his backstory should be a big question mark... all built around anticipation and trying to learn more about his origins.

But.... to each his own.

Skin tight hoods are horrible in every way. This is the first hood I've liked since MKD.

Yeah, the Phantasm is more accurate... though not as memorable of a reference. It is a scary resemblance though.... maybe Batman is the XBox 360 Exclusive character

His new costume is HEAPS better than his terrible MKD/MKA costumes... they were shockingly bad...

I think the middle costume in this concept art:

That's all I'm freaking saying. You weren't making sense because except for the baggy hood, the costume you've been complaining about already looks similar to what you said you wanted.

How does me pointing that out make me a hypocrite about anything? It's not like I said "I wish Smoke was a cyberninja" and the Smoke they released ALREADY WAS the cyber version.

well, i absolutely refuse to read 17 pages of posts but I will say that this reveal was full of win. judging by the video i'd say that Noob Saibot (grin) is officially God tier. that or at least anyone fighting against him will have a hell of a fight on their hands....or puke on their shoes! glasses

Well, I was expecting more info today, but this is an awesome video. Noob looks by far the best he's ever looked in my opinion.

One thing I noticed about Goro's Lair is that the arenas look much wider than the old 2d arenas (and the 3d ones for that matter). I think that's awesome. It gives you much more room to move the fight around before trapping someone/getting trapped in the corner.

Pre-ordered my Kollector's Edition tonight!!

No your obsessing was making sure Cyborg Smoke was stil canon when it possible. He might not be, Cyborg Smoke could be very well an uncannon character to cator the fan boys this time Like Evil Ryu. So yea.. its no different from me whinning... i give you props because your complaints is more validated.... But im entitled to whine because my favorite character got a lame makeover this time. Deal with it wink

That doesn't really make any sense at all.

The story behind the Deadly Alliance Soulnado is that when Quan and Shang became the Deadly Alliance, Quan Chi used his amulet to open a portal to Heaven for Shang, so Shang would have an endless source of souls to feed on.

That soulnado wasn't a thing that was around before MKDA. Quan created it.

THIS one is totally separate.

And PLUS,that fortress with mummified army was built by Li Mei's village,if I am not mistaken,right? Meaning it was AFTER MK3 events.
