Never cared for Shinnok, the skeleton hands stuff could be on Quan Chi, and those are the only things I liked about him.
Never liked powerhouse evil guys that are rulers. Don't mind Shao Kahn, but Shinnok was never really appealing to me.

So Reptile doesn't talk in almost all of MK9 but in Jax's chapter after he fights Baraka, Reptile says something to Shang Tsung. Can anyone verify what he says to Tsung or whether or not he talks at all.
I voted Reptile based on his moveset. I like the Acid Bubbles and his quick rush attacks. Shinnok was a very underwhelming boss character for me and I always thought his moves were lame.

Reptile. My third favorite behind Kano, and my favorite ninja. Shinnok is very close though. I've always liked Shinnok.
But I still gotta vote Reptile.

Reptile of course. He's my 2nd favourite ninja and my favourite villain.
I've never been interested by Shinnok very much. He was my least favourite boss anyway.

phew.... a real tough decision. Reptile is one of my favorites with Sektor, Baraka and Ermac. But if I think about MKX I really want to see Shinnok. I love his fatalities:D
I vote for Shinnok

Went with Shinnok.
Reptile has devolved from the badass hidden character in MK1 to a mere punching bag. Shinnok has the potential to kick major butt in MKX, though. I'm hoping he'll be the Big Release this Saturday.

Shinnok is probably the most ridiculous boss character ever made in MK history. First of all, his overall appearance is ugly as hell, and not the cool kind of ugly, but just REALLY ugly. And second, his abilities and powers are laughable at best.
Reptile, though he might never be anything else than a minion to others, he's at least fun to play as.

To be fair Shinnok did get a major re-do in MK: Armageddon with his less-ugly appearance and his own move-set. Plus he had a decent voice actor in the Story Mode and had a big role in it so that's a big plus.

Less ugly? Allow me to completely disagree. He looked better in MK4 than in MKA. But he still looked like shit. He's like a rainbow-coloured zombie with no sense of hat-fashion.

I'd say he looks way better in Armageddon with the robe alt. His moves were killer too. I Loved using the skeleton arm shake.

His headwear looks a lot like a bishop's miter. It was perhaps intentional.
Still, I don't think anyone can really declare that Shinnok looks ridiculous while not saying anything about Shao Kahn.
