Explain to me how Homosexual People playing MK is a more relevant than the weed smokers and MK thread? Im WAY more likely to run into a stoned person in an online match than a homosexual man or woman. I like stoners, and I like gay people. I think both should get to talk in a little thread online. Even if its only vaguely relevant a thread isnt a lot of space, and you dont have to be part of one. So whats the problem leaving either open.

Who hasn't been called a fag by some 12 year old asshole at this point? Thats the reason I never really got into Black Ops. Reporting it is tedious and doesn't seem to actually have any effect.

I can already predict a lot of it in MK. What do you guys and girls - gay or straight - do to deal with it?

I used to play with a clan tag TGRL but most people didnt get it. Personally I find most people just use faggot or gay to express frustration with somebody, I think those words have evolved along with every other facit of the english language over time.

Now in the rare case that somebody really is making anti-gay hate speech, I just mute and report them. Thats all that you really can do.

This thread is actually far more relevant. It poses a question towards a demographic of MK fans and asks their opinions on certain aspects of the game. The first stoner thread shouldn't have been closed. I'll give you that. I didn't see anything wrong with it. However, the second one was little more than troll posts.

Yeah, all the homophobic remarks made by some during online gaming really turn me off to playing certain games on LIVE or PSN. People can try to defend it and say it's just trash-talking, but that is sort of the point. When these people taunt others, they use these slurs because they're the the worst things they can think of to call other males. Being a "queer" makes you less of a man in their eyes.
