yeah i'm with both of you, TNA is just getting more and more retarded every week. i mean yeah i'm not expecting a turn around to happen right away, just wondering when the hell it's going to happen, cause TNA's still going in the wrong direction
For a deep look into why this is the worst version of the montereal screwjob angle ever, from Lance Storm's website:
1) If Hebner was going to “Montreal” Kurt and screw him, why didn’t he do it when AJ had him in the Figure 4 Leg Lock earlier in the match?
2) Why did Kurt assume Hogan had anything to do with this? Hogan was the guy who gave him the second chance in the first place. If Hogan wasn’t on Kurt’s side he could have just stuck to the stipulation from the PPV and not given Kurt the opportunity of this match that he would then have to screw him out of later. This was so stupid.
3) How can anyone believe that Kurt is going to quit over this, like he threatened to do at the end of this show. Bobby Lashley has been trying to quit for weeks now but can’t because he is under contract. TNA has already established, on this very show, that guys can’t quit! Doesn’t anyone in TNA watch TNA? Maybe if they did the ratings would be better.
4) The Montreal finish makes no sense when the reigning champ is the one going over! Why bother conspiring with a ref, and fighting this whole match when you are the reigning champion? AJ could just get DQ’d, counted out; you name it, and still retain his title. The whole point of Montreal was that Shawn had to get a pin fall or submission on the existing champ in order to WIN the title. Doesn’t anyone pay attention to details anymore?
I recommend reading the whole blog, it's great.

I'm not going to read that article because Lance Storm is a moron and I can't even bring myself to listen to him. But those are valid criticisms. And aside from those, and aside from everything else which is horrible about it, the worst thing about it is that with Bret Hart returning to Raw and WWE going through the Montreal thing again, this stupid angle is basically a big advertisement for people to tune in to Raw to see Bret.
All that aside, "worked shoots" make me fucking furious. I hope Vince Russo gets AIDS.

During an interview with Live Audio Wrestling last night, Dwayne "The Rock Johnson said he would return to WWE for a guest-hosting role or to wrestle a match on the sole condition that he can "rip up" the writing for the current television product and tap into the "Attitude Era" with an edgier product.
"I want to use the platform as a host to literally rip things open. There's so much stuff we can do," Johnson told John Pollock. "We're going to create an incredible show, an incredible Raw. I'm doing another movie, but after that, we're going to create something special, unique, something badass for the fans. Talking to Vince (McMahon), whenever that's going to be, we're going to have a great time."
Johnson echoed what he said last week during an interview with ESPN in that he wouldn't rule out actually wrestling, but only if he can turn the product upside down and create a compelling storyline leading to a match.
"I accomplished everything I wanted to accomplish in wrestling, so I wouldn't rule out going back," Johnson said. "If the match was right and we could create something really unique and cool for the fans and for my opponent and for the company, I would do it in a second."
Johnson once again said he has no interest in wrestling John Cena, but talked about what it would take for him to work a program with one of WWE's premiere stars.
"I've never been interested in wrestling John Cena. The guys I wrestled in the past - from Goldberg to Hogan to Austin - were guys who I've really wanted to wrestle. If it can be done creatively but not only that, it's very important if I do back is that the writing has to be ripped open and really be pushed," Johnson said. "I came from a time in the Attitude era where we trail-blazed a lot and were fearless in the things we said and did."
Johnson added: "There are a lot of restrictions now on the product, which by the way, I understand, and I enjoy some of the stuff I see and I know some of the writers and they're challenged every week, but if in fact I do go back, it would be an interesting collision of an Attitude time that I loved and the time now, but I'm sure we can always infuse things to make it work."
In an interview with The Sun, TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles blasts the backstabbing nature of rival promotion World Wrestling Entertainment.
The TNA star said he has no interest in going to WWE based on second-hand stories he's heard from wrestlers' experiences in the politically-motivated backstage environment.
"From all the horror stories I've heard in WWE, there's no reason why I would want to go anywhere else. Desmond (Wolfe) and I are going to work together to make this company the best for everybody. Where, in the other company, they will stab each other in the back to get to the next level," Styles said. "It's not about me. It's about us in TNA."
Styles said one year from now, TNA needs to be live and touring "week-to-week" outside the Impact Zone in Orlando. His main reason for wanting to venture outside of Orlando is so he can better gauge the effectiveness of his persona.
"Definitely live. Live every Monday night or Thursday night. I don't care. Just as long as the fans know when it's coming on. And that they don't know what to expect," Styles told The Sun. "That's the biggest thing because with the spoilers, they go on (the Internet) and figure out whatever, but I want to be live going from state-to-state and not just in the Impact Zone."
Styles added: "It's hard to gauge who you are as a character in the Impact Zone because you have the same fans coming in who don't necessarily want to enjoy the show, but be part of the show, and it's hard to gauge how you're doing as an entertainer."
Styles also reassured fans upset about TNA parting ways with its trademark six-sided ring.
"Ring change is kind of upsetting at first, but then once you get in that ring, it brings the memories back - 'Oh, there's so much more you can do.' But, for us, it absolutely does not make a difference to me. That's why it was so bizarre to me at first why they would change it," Styles said. "I heard that maybe the reason was to be taken more seriously as a company. I can understand that. I don't care what it is that gets us to the next level as long as we get there."

I only have an answer to the first of Lance Storm's points, and the reason that he didn't end the match on the Figure 4 is because in the original screwjob, it ended when Michaels put Bret in the Sharpshooter, Bret's finishing move, so ending it with AJ putting Kurt in the Angle Lock made sense. It was really the only sensible part about the whole abomination.

I can't even remember anymore because it's been so long since I allowed myself to listen to him, seriously. But I remember he said some really stupid things about MMA, and expressed a bunch of really retarded opinions on how he thinks matches should be worked and criticized a lot of guys he had no right to criticize, etc, which really pissed me off. Also, here's a guy who's said time and time again that he can't stand watching TNA anymore and he's boycotting it, he'll never watch it again. Sure enough two weeks later he types a detailed blog about how the TNA show he just watched really sucked. He might as well be a teenage WWE smark.
That aside, bless AJ Styles. I'm not a fan at all but I do have to respect his loyalty.

No, it doesn't make any sense. Yeah we get why they decided to do it in the Ankle lock creatively, but it doesn't make sense for the ref to wait for that hold to be applied to call for the finish if he already had a chance before... Get it?
Shibata, Storm has said that he was going to stop WATCHING TNA for a while. He did, and then he said when he decided to give it another chance again. I don't see anything wrong with that, he never swore on his life that he would never watch it again.
I just uploaded an "Attitude Era" Triple H, Billy Gunn, and D'Lo Brown CAW for SvR 2010 on PS3 if anyone is interested. Search tag: ooRUFIXoo

Man, more reasons why Vince Russo is so undeserving of this business.
NoDQ.com > TNA > Russo responds to Impact's lack of wrestling

The following are highlights from Vince Russo's latest Facebook blog:
I'd like to thank all of you for giving us a 1.3 rating for three weeks in a row. I don't think we've ever done that before. I can't believe that we have reached that height for the first time–and yet–as somebody watched the show with a stop-watch–there was only 16 minutes of wrestling on the show!!!"
I've got to be honest with you, for the last month I haven't really been myself because I've been dealing with a health issue. A health issue serious enough that I was forced to go to a doctor for the first time in a decade. Now grant it, as I stated in "Forgiven", I am a hypochondriac, but believe me–this time there was something to worry about. As the days grew long, and the symptoms persisted, I just couldn't help but to think every day about my life. The things
that got me here, the things that really made me tick, the things that I've done, the things that I still want to do. But, the one vision that just keep itself burned in my mind no matter what I did was my family. If anything happen to me–I can't even describe into words how much I'd miss them. I couldn't stop thinking about that. Almost 50 years on this planet, and what it came down to was a hand full of people. Then Matt told me that somebody actually posted on line the minutes we had of wrestling on Thursday's show. I couldn't help but ask myself, "How can something so trivial mean so much to somebody that they would actually sit there and count how many minutes of fake wrestling were on a fake wrestling show in the course of two hours?" That just put everything in perspective for me.
Point: Enjoy wrestling, we all do, just don't let it consume your life because there are just so many things in life that are far more important.

Man I have no comment. This guy is unreal.

hey dont worry zent, its all good now bc he wrote up another pile of shit, apologizing for his last pile of shit. lol
its funny that he initially dismisses his comments and his reason for there being lack of wrestling was bc it was "a show" on tv....yet he fails to realize that its a damn WRESTLING SHOW. he would be the type of guy to have a tv show called funny skinny ppl and have the show revolve around a 800 pound bed ridden man eating chickin from a duffel bag....maybe i should pitch that? lol
got his panties all in a bunch over someone saying there was 16 min of wrestling...yet wrestling mags like WOW did that all the time. they used to have complete breakdowns of raw and nitro showing how much soap (storyline shit) rope (wrestling) and commercials (advertisements lol)

Lance Storm's opinions on wrestling are overrated. People act like he's some insightful God of wrestling, and I think he believes he is as well.
I'm hating the treatment of Morrison. They're not necessarily lowering him, but they're certainly not doing much of anything useful with him. I think they're just waiting until after WM to really pull the trigger with him. I think he is pretty likely to win the MITB... other than Kofi he's one of the likely winners in my opinion.
Sheamus vs. Orton should be interesting. I like Sheamus' in ring work (what little bit I've seen that is), so I'm interested in seeing how well he works with Orton. He sold the RKO amazingly well by the way.

think the whole thing on hogan and bishoff in tna is a joke anyway they just completly destroyed on what tna standed for and just wanted to do nothing but go to war with wwe if tna would had gotten heyman{But said he would never work in tna}he would had dragged wwe to it's knees and tookin advantage of the whole PG shit they are doing because hogan and bishoff would had nevered done that
Hogan has said Abyss is his John Cena.
Russo doesn't think it's bad that a wrestling show only has 17 minutes of wrestling.
TNA are using the Nasty Boys.
Titles have already begun to randomly change for no reason.
AJ Styles turns heel and gets paired up with Flair to give him a ''rub''.
I've already lost all faith I had.

this whole thing is just a big joke i knew hogan would be bad for tna but damn.
if abyss is his john cena then his last name should be mall bc tna is looking ABYSS MALL..hehe.
heres some interesting facts i was reading about the current status of tna...
from nodq.com
Can we please keep track of all the lame plot-devices they use on this f***ing show?
People turning face, People turning heel, People being fired, People coming back, worked shoots and endless number one contender contests. The best example is of course Foley:
Arrived as a face
Won title and turned heel
Lost title and turned face
Turned heel on Abyss
Turned face on Abyss
Potentially turning heel in the Hogan feud.
So, I'm going to try and keep up with all these repetitive unoriginal plot devices in 2010.
Heel/Face turns
Team 3D
-Despite turning heel at the end of 2009, act as faces on Jan 14th against Nasty Boys.
Bobby Lashely
-Turns heel on TNA on Jan 4th
-Turns face by apologizing on Jan 21st
AJ Styles
-Turns heel at Genesis
Christopher Daniels
-Enters 2010 as a heel, cuts a face promo at Genesis but insists the crowd "shut up" in an attempt to remain a heel.
Ken Anderson
-Face promo at Genesis
-Turns heel by cheating at Genesis
Eric Bischoff
-Arrives face
-Fires Mick Foley (a face) on Jan 21st and continues to antagonise him on Jan 28th
Hulk Hogan
-Apparently screws Kurt Angle (a face) on Jan 21st
-Apparently didn't on Jan 28th
Firings/Hirings
Bobby Lashely
-Wants to quit on Jan 4th
-Wants to stay on Jan 21st
-Gets fired on Jan 28th
Kurt Angle
-Says he'll quit on Jan 28th
-Shows up following week. Threatened with being fired if he spits in Hogan's face again.
The Band
-Shows up looking for work on Jan 4th
-Two weeks appearing on Impact, still without jobs.
-Booked on a PPV without a contract
-Asked to earn their keep on Jan 21st, but thrown out of the building before they could.
-Back on Jan 28th. No explanation. Thrown out again, promise to return.
Mick Foley
-Fired on Jan 21st
-Returns without explanation on Jan 28th
Earl Hebner
-Suspended on Jan 28th
Number one Contenderships
-Samoa Joe enters 2010 with a number one contender briefcase.
-Bobby Lashely enters 2010 with a title shot from the Thanksgiving tournament.
-Tournament to determine number one contender begins on Jan 28th.
Worked Shoots
-Scott Hall punches a fan at Genesis
-Screwjob finish on Jan 21st.
Those are the major ones I think. Bare in mind... this is all within four weeks... we are four weeks into this year and already thats what we got.
so true :(

Hogan has said Abyss is his John Cena.
Russo doesn't think it's bad that a wrestling show only has 17 minutes of wrestling.
TNA are using the Nasty Boys.
Titles have already begun to randomly change for no reason.
AJ Styles turns heel and gets paired up with Flair to give him a ''rub''.
I've already lost all faith I had.

Just got back from NYWC Psycho Circus. Only one match was really well done throughout, though the main event was pretty spectacular at the end. The rest was pretty forgettable, but I thought it was worth it. Only paid $15 to go.

I was talkin about that the other day.
I don't get it nothing ever makes sense and the boys in charge don't seem to care.
I would be amazed if things where consistent for once.
O and A.J as a heel is so freakin terrible.
I don't understand how they made him seem like he was The IT Guy in TNA then out of nowhere he's a heel and a terrible one at that.
