I really love the way Orton has been embraced. It's not only a great display of character development, but also some rebellious fans which I think is always cool. It's like the fans are asking for attitude.
At this point I don't see what they're trying to do with Orton, in a good way. Not like TNA where you don't get where any of the angles are going and they end up going nowhere. I just feel curious and surprised about Orton and the legacy.
If he's starting to lead a stable, he can't turn face. But look at the way the fans are loving him and just how cool he is overall.
I'm starting to think he might win the Rumble after all...

nope, not deaf, just perhaps got better hearing then u do, cause like i said, yes i hear the cheers, but i also hear almost equally amount of boos, and as i point out many times i've no use for Orton at all, and i really don't understand his "appeal"
Then you know if a supposed heel is getting cheered, he is having problems getting heat. It doesn't matter if he gets some boos, so does Cena. Would you say Cena had "trouble getting heat" too? It makes no sense. Jericho currently is the most over of the heels while Orton garners the biggest reaction overall for a "heel".

We're saying Orton's having trouble getting booed, we didn't say he was getting cheered out of the building...
Would you say that a main event heel who's supposed to be the lead bad guy but is getting cheered by (like you said) at least half the crowd, is not having trouble getting booed?
Oh and regardless of whether you like Orton or not he is STILL getting cheered. You not having any use for him (even though he sells merchandise and gets both cheered and booed, and he's a safe worker, etc) doesn't change the fact that crowds pop for him...

It's a strange problem to have, to be sure. It's kind of like the situation with the rock. He was the asshole that people couldn't help to like. That's the situation Orton is in right now, but I don't think he can be turned face to a warm reception like what occured with the rock.
Top heel status should be Jericho's right now anyway. The man is amazing.

GREAT question, Icebaby. Does it matter, nowadays?
Remember when Cena was getting booed as hell? And they never turned him heel.
So, maybe WWE won't feel the need to turn Orton face. With them trying to make the show more kid friendly, I'm not sure tattooed-as-hell-head-kicking Randy Orton is the ideal idol for children.
We'll have to see. If Orton does turn face, it probably wont be too soon since they're setting him up to lead the Legacy into heel domination.
It doesn't really matter; MKGeek just takes his personal feelings on wrestlers too far and lets it blind him, for whatever reason. At the end of the day these guys are just playing characters... yeah sure Orton is reported to be an asshole in reality too, but who cares? I think everyone is well aware of how certain people here feel about certain wrestlers; there's no need for me to go on and on about Cena, for instance.
So apparently, Vince did sustain actual injury in that nasty looking punt, possibly a concussion (unconfirmed) according to JR. I noticed that cut above his ear though as they were attending to him. You have to respect Vince; getting pretty old now but still willing to put himself out there just like the old days.

That's because Vince is a badass. I've always liked Vince no matter what he was in the industry. He was always somewhat a cool guy in the way I viewed him. I don't know why I like Vince McMahon, he's barely around anymore, but I guess it's just that you can't hate Vince too much.

i agree, i think he's the better wrestler and the better heel than Orton could ever hope to be

that's just my inner mark dude, just let it flow, and learn to go with it, or do what everyone else does, ignore it! :P :P
yep, i noticed that the audience has a mixed reaction to Orton as well.
last Raw, you could hear some of the crowd actually chanting 'RKO' when he was in the ring with Vince.
I have to wonder how much of that is him not being effective as a heel, or just the amount of people who know that the WWE is trying to push him as a heel, and say 'fuck that'... kinda the opposite to Cena. When the office was trying to shove him down everyone's throats, they booed him
Also, some fans may just be used to seeing the McMahon family (Stephanie and Vince specifically) as heels because they're the authority. And that was the norm from the Attitude era up until like a couple years. But I really hope they don't try to turn Orton into a SCSA type... that storyline has been done. And I know this is wrestling and that all storylines get rehashed, but they should give that one some time.
EDIT: and to me, Orton's Legacy stable feels a little like the New Blood back in WCW, where they pushed the young guys as faces against the classic superstars... only this is in reverse, and they're pushing them as heels. But everybody knows how that went...

It looks like the HHH being #1 spot has been dropped! Lets see who can guess the closest to #1 and #2. Upper midcarders usually start off the rumble, so I say #1 is Kofi Kingston and #2 is Vladmir Koslov.
That's kinda tough... I'm gonna guess Jericho is #1 as more punishment, and #2... uh, Big Show. *shrugs*. Really hard to call that. I just know they normally like to open the Rumble (lately) with at least one big name that'll last a while.
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
RVD is backstage and will be a surprise entrant

*Sighs* RVD is coming back? Am I the only person who doesn't like him here or are there others? I just don't like him.

Well...That was interesting...Matt Hardy turns heel...Cena wins, RVD is back...and Orton won...
Who called that shit? I DID!!

Just got done watching the Rumble spoiler free and it was a pretty good show.
We were all really disappointed that Christian and Batista didn't show.
There were loud ''we want christian'' chants during the WWE title match, and when Orton won (major mark out for me, Orton's the man) there was a sign in the crowd saying ''Welcome back, Christian''.

well, considering how fucking retarded it was turing Matt heel, one has to wonder if there were any plans for Christian, or if it was all bullshit spread by the "dirt sheets" to get us excited for a possible Christian return? i still hope that he'll be factored into the whole thing some how, and hopefully we don't have to wait until NWO to find out
