Yeah but it's in no way similar to HBK's situation.

As for that Jack Swagger thing.
What the fuck? That decision is TNA worthy.

And by the way Genesis sounds like it was a clusterfuck.
So I was reading on WWE.Com that Jeff Hardy and his girlfriend early last Friday got into a pretty nasty hit and run accident. There are some pretty gruesome pictures on WWE.COM not much is said except to tune in this Friday for footage of the accident. Pretty scary and I hope Jeff and his girlfriend are ok.

Great, so Steve Austin is inducted to the Hall of Fame, let me guess... the next guy will be the Rock... and possibly Owen Hart? Come on, the guy deserves to be inducted. Both Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit are inducted, what's wrong with Owne Hart?

If he doesn't get inducted this year, I'm going to be pissed, because there's really nothing that I can do that will get the picture in somewhere.

It's a work... Jeff is fine and it wasn't even his real girlfriend...

True. But a story like Jake's would make much more sence then the story they've given for HBK's money issues....lmao, I think we've come full circle.

In other news...looks like Scott Steiner is said to be in bad shape.
___________________________________________________________
Scott Steiner is said to be in pretty rough shape, but then again he has been that way since the final year of WCW. There was a point in time where he would warm up for a full hour before going out for a match, and another time when after a 10 minute match he couldn't pick up a napkin he dropped in a hotel, but when he finally did manage to get down on one knee to pick it up he grabbed his back and had to lie down on a couch to relieve the pain. Steiner’s days in the ring may be numbed, as he had made it clear to friends he has no interest in appearing on camera if he looks feeble or injured. He was once working through back pain so bad that he couldn’t do any flat-back bumps and had to fall to his side or to his knees, and explain later to the wrestlers that he wasn’t trying to no-sell their moves but he simply couldn’t do the back bumps.

Yeah that Steiner story is messed up... Hard to believe he still does the Frankensteiner!
I wish he'd give us one last awesome match and then retire.

Benoit, I should have used "were" instead of "are" in that sentence.

When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that: "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yes sir, the check is in the mail."

Excuse me? What? Ol' Jack Burton doesn't recall Chris Benoit even being inducted into the Hall of Fame...although I haven't been following things that closely in recent times, I really like to think I'd have caught wind of that...is this some sort of joke?

The list they have on the website, wwe.com, unless they're mistaken, I checked it twice, they had Benoit on the list of wrestlers who were inducted. I only tell what I see.

Yep that's why I asked. Benoit was never inducted into the hall of fame, would've been hard. He wouldn't have been inducted as an active wrestler because that just doesn't happen, and we all know why he won't get inducted now that he's gone.

I haven't watched WWF/E since around 2001-2002...the end of the Attitude Era

Has wrestling ever got back up to the greatness of WWF's Attitude Era and the WCW's early NWO stuff...before they whored it out?

....nope....nothing even remotely interesting comes to mind except that DX was back together for a bit...but it was only Shawn Michaels and HHH...

And they weren't the old D-Generation X back in the 90s. Seeing how Shawn is a born-again Christian, his bad-ass attitude is long gone, and HHH... well I don't really know how to define him now other than he's not so... see I can't even come out with a definition for him recently.

It was more like a, "let's try to bring back something that hasn't been around for a while that people would really like to see," kind of moment, and it didn't last that long either. They're only rivals were the McMahons and Rated RKO until Triple H injured himself very badly to be kept out of action for a few months and Shawn went solo, but still tried to have the DX thing still going even though it was not working at all.

With Steve Austin only making rare appearances, the Rock ditching to Hollywood eve though he's a total failure there IMO, and a few headed to TNA, will we ever see the old great era of Attitude any time soon? No. Just like the third Mortal Kombat movie, it will never happen. Great reference I used there, right? Hee, hee... I'm sorry, I'm in such a good mood, school's canceled! yay!

Flair was inducted as an "active" wrestler, then he got "retired" at Wrestlemania
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Damnit Triple H is the #1 entrant in the Rumble. I fucking hate when they do that shit. Like when they did that with HBK and Y2J in 2003 or Benoit in 2004. Instead of the rumble being focused on 1 person I like when its well rounded, Now it seems like they're going to make HHH win the rumble

My money's on Triple H vs Edge at Wrestlemania. You didn't really think they'd let Jeff Hardy headline the biggest ppv of the year, did you?

After the amount of times they've already had the number one entrant win the rumble and considering Triple H is already a former Rumble winner, I don't see him winning the Rumble at all. If anything, knowing that he's the number one entrant makes me sure he won't win it.

Right well, believe it or not Geek, that's not news to me tongue It's the obvious exception that I didn't feel the need to mention.

Well, with Trips being the #1 entrant... yeah, after Cena last year winning at 30, the WWE isn't going to let the #1 or the #30 guy win again for a bit. But with the history of the Rumble, a face tends to almost always win it... literally. Honestly, my money is on Jeff. He'll drop the title to Edge, but win the Rumble somehow. That's just what I'm thinking.

Jeff Hardy isn't winning the Rumble. WWE is not putting Hardy in the Mania main event, that's the reason they're taking the belt off of him in the first place...

Neither is Triple H, that's for sure.
I like it that this Rumble feels less obvious than the ones from recent years.
I'd have to say the top contenders are probably Batista and Kennedy.
I could see Matt Hardy, MVP or CM Punk winning too.

Batista and Kennedy? You do realize Batista can't even rehab his injury yet and that Kennedy is the most injury-prone star ever, right? Yet... they'd put those two over Jeff? I can't see that happening at all... Batista won't even be back in time for Wrestlemania according to every news site I have come across. Cena's return was quite different.

I'd like to see MVP win, but
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
they are going to let him "win" a match over Big Show thanks to Triple H, so that streak storyline seems to be taking a non-Rumble route.
The fact Jeff won the title confirms to me that the WWE trusts him, as letting a star wear one of your most important titles is the ultimate act of trust. I think it's time for everyone to get over this idea the WWE has a fear of pushing Jeff because he's a supposed "druggy". The guy is almost undoubtedly the most over star in WWE. Not everyone likes Triple H still and Cena gets a mixed reaction. Cena is certainly the best at getting some sort of reaction, but Jeff gets the biggest pops for sure.

Jeff will never have a main event match at Wrestlemania ever... I can't see Batista coming back in time to actually get, yet again, another title shot, though I can see Kennedy and MVP win the RR... even if what Crow said about Kennedy is true, that he is injury-prone.
