Even though Impact isnt the official TNA show, I still am impressed with it. I would love to see the real show go from PPV to Cable. If it did, I would watch it every night it was on.

Actually the ppv is only meant to be a ppv, that's kinda why TNA started Xplosion first and now they got Impact on tv as well. But you are right, it would make more sense just to have a tv show and do the occasional ppv like the WWE instead of expecting everyone to pay $9.95 every Wednesday. Especially when allot of the time, they ppv isn't even that good.

Last news update of this evening:

Major Problems Backstage In WWE; Diva Quits & So Do Many Others;
Credit: PWInsider.com

Morale backstage continues to drop due to the company's direction and lack of payouts. Not only is wrestler morale low, the morale among others involved in production and such is also very low. Many employees in WWE's production staff and other capacities have left the company recently or plan to leave soon. They simply have decided to take their services elsewhere. The names we are aware of as of just recently are creative team Dominick Pagliaro, who's last day was at Tuesday's SmackDown! taping. WWE diva Rue DeBona, who hosted Afterburn and was seen numerous times on Heat with Josh Mathews, also asked for her release after her contract expired. From what we have been told, she was thrilled that they let her go because she had no intensions of re-signing with the company if she was asked. Two of Kevin Dunn's production guys have also left as well. That's not all though, as a high level employee who handled travel for WWE also left the company just recently. We have also heard rumors that Jacqueline was also released from her contract. These are just some of the names behind the scenes that are leaving WWE to pursue other options.

WWE demands heavy work weeks from their employees but right now, they are not paying out well. The fact that WWE releases financial statements each quarter touting the huge amounts of money the McMahon's take home only makes matters worse. Wrestlers are also upset about how low house show and PPV payoffs have gotten. Many feel trapped though, since WWE is really the only "big game" in town if you can only work in the wrestling industry.

We'll keep you posted, but it's safe to say that many backstage in WWE are hoping things work out for TNA as it can be considered a second option.

More Details On Ken Shamrock In TNA:

As was reported before, Ken Shamrock will be appearing at the NWA-TNA pay-per view next week, along with former NBA star Dennis Rodman.

Shamrock, fresh off an impressive knockout victory in his latest UFC efforts will be cutting a promo in the ring, likely mentioning being the first NWA Champion under the TNA banner.

Ken Shamrock is actually likely to wrestle on one of the FOX Sports weekly TNA Impact! television shows as part of a probable one-time deal with the company.

Kane/Lita Pregnancy Storyline Ending, Dennis Rodman-TNA Inside News, More:

At this point, the Dennis Rodman/TNA appearance is scheduled to be a one time only deal to get Impact! some mainstream publicity.

NASCAR's Jeff Hammond has been added to the TNA announce team.

Joshi puroresu star Takako Inoue is working at getting signed by WWE. Many sources in Japan are already reporting that she has signed, or will soon sign, with WWE. Inoue is heading to Minnesota to train under former AWA and WWF star Brad Rheighans as a way of learning how to work the American style.

WWE's creative team has not decided on the final conclusion to the Kane/Lita pregnancy angle yet. The angle has been a major focus of WWE TV over the past few weeks. Many ideas have been thrown around but nothing has been decided upon.

John Bradshaw Layfield's new WWE.com column is now posted.

That's another TNA show that's on limited stations in the US. They advertise what networks it appears on after every TNA ppv. Keep an eye out and you might actaully get to see it. It's another show that I wouldn't mind seeing. Too bad Canada only gets the ppv every wednesday.

I just keep finding more stories, this just in: This may shock fans of Jacqueline.

Another WWE Diva Released; more:
Source: WrestlingObserver.com Newsletter:

-- Along with the breaking news from a few minutes ago that WWE is not to extend the contract of Afterburn front-lady Rue, comes the information that another of the WWE’s longest serving Divas, Jacqueline, will be leaving the company.

-- After the departure of Terri Runnels earlier this year, the release of Jacqueline comes at a particularly puzzling time after her very recent and short stint as WWE Cruiserweight Champion, including a Pay Per View appearance against Chavo Jr. No information is currently available on whether or not the release was mutual or otherwise.

Explosion is the weekly recap show for the PPV. If you turn on the channel that the PPV comes on 30 mins or an hour even sometimes, before the PPV show, they show all of what happened from the past week ppv. I have also found Explosion on a few times on FSN on late Friday nights.

JACQULINE GONE FROM WWE?? WHY WHY WHY! DAMMIT!

Anyways for real, I don't give a damn. Putting the Cruiserweight title on her was a horrible idea and she just plain sucks. good riddence to bad rubbish I say.

Anyways, something I wanted to know about NWA-TNA if anyone can help me out. I know TNA has Impact, Xplosion, their wedensday PPV and all these other shows. But which one is the weekly show and which one is the PPVs, which show is the one on the Fox sports net? How does it all work out in TNA? just curious?

Have any of you played Showdown: Legends Of Wrestling? I was planning on getting it and wanted to know if its a good game. I have gone to several gaming sites and they have given it mediocre scores.

Save your money! Wait for WWE Day of Reckoning for Gamecube or Smackdown vs. Raw for PS2. If you're a fan of the wrestlers of yesturday, then the roster in Showdown is GREAT! That's about it though. The gameplay HAS been improved. But, that doesn't say much. The Legends of Wrestling series has always suffered from one MAJOR thing, and that has been it's gameplay. Expect glitch after glitch. My first match I encountered at LEAST 5 glitches. Whip your opponent into the turnbuckle? Well, don't expect to be able to move for some strange reason UNTIL your opponent actually HITS the turnbuckle. Is the Stinger ready to lock on his Scorpion Deathlock? Well, don't be surprised if he locks it on to thin air! Reverse a punch? Well, sometimes the game skips over the animation for the reverse. What you're left with is your opponent swinging at you and then getting knocked back LIKE he was hit(complete with sound effect). This game is plagued with problems. I can't even say I would suggest to rent it(which is what I did). This game I think finally put's the final nail in the coffin for the Legends series. It's time for this series to retire! Seriously, you'd have more fun starting a trendy heroin habit or practicing your aiming skill's in a toilet. Rent it if you HAVE to. Otherwise.... steer clear of this boring, glitch infested, horrible control playing wrestling game! I hope that helped you out.

I don't know about anybody else, but this whole Matt, Lita, and Kane thing is getting retarded. Another thing that's pissing me off is the fact that the Undertaker is staying on Smackdown, they really should bring him to RAW, so he can put an end to Kane's reign of terror once and for all.

Putting Undertaker on Raw for any reason?

I got two words for that...

HORRIBLE IDEA!

SmackDown! needs Undertaker more than Raw does. Raw has Triple H, so SmackDown! needs Undertaker. Its as simple as that. And besides, The Undertaker is in a very good storyline right now with heyman and the dudleys. no need to ruin that now.

Nah, its free MetaD. Its like the 30 mins before a WWE ppv, the 'free for all'. Just find the channel that the TNA ppv is on, turn it on 30 mins early, and Explosion will be on there for the free free. grin

Well I was looking around WWE.com, and besides noticing that Scott Steiner's name and bio has been removed from the RAW roster ( furious ) Ultimo Dragon seems to have disapeared from smackdown! aswell, even though he was in that ten man battle royale for the cruiserweight title shot.

He's in Japan taking time off from the WWE. He's wrestling a few matches there.

Well I hope he comes back. He kicks ass, and he should've won that stupid title shot match, not that dumbass Chavo Guerrero. I bet he's going to get the title from Rey again... I wish Smackdown! got some new writers. I'm not really pleased with the Paul Bearer/Heyman/Dudley Boyz/Taker storyline going on, and I think the Eddie Guerrero/Bradshaw feud isn't going anywhere, and they're not using Mordecai properly. I wish Ultimo Dragon or Jamie Noble would become the cruiserweight champions and maybe develop some sort of decent storyline.

We really don't even need writers. Wrestling is just turning into a damn soap opera. (Matt, Lita) And if you haven't noticed by now they reuse some of the storylines. If we didn't have writers, then wrestlers wouldn't lose their jobs and that would be more entertainment for us.
Though writers make the show more interesting, I'm not happy with the fact that if they don't have anything for a wrestler, they boot the wrestler. That pisses me off!

Yeah, just look at people like Val Venis, Shannon Moore, Jamie Noble, Maven... great potential, but they're doing nothing. They're just waiting their turn to get the highlight, but until then, they might get fired. And why? Because the writers don't have enough imagination to fit them into stories. I'd rather have cooler, simpler, seperate storylines going on then silly things trying to be 'big', like now, Kane fucked Lita and she's pregnant, while Benoit keeps defending his title aimlessly and the HHH and HBK feud is over. I'd prefer to have really simple, but lots of storylines going on.

Let me see if I can clear it up for you bud. The Wednesday shows for $9.95 are the PPVs, TNA Impact is the one on Fox Sports Net, and sub-zeromasta is sorta right, TNA does have a free-for-all before their PPVs, but it's not Xplosion. Xplosion is TNA's first televsion show that, like Impact is only available in the States, only on local networks. Pay close attention Wednesdays after the show. because after they give a live events schedule, TNA gives the local stations which air Xplosion, or log onto their website for more details on either TNA show. Hope this clears everything up.smile

Brock Lesnar Says He Regrets Ever Working For WWE
(What a LOSER!!):

On ESPN's SportsCenter, Brock Lesnar said he regrets his move from college into professional wrestling. He said he wanted to be able to have money and not be poor, which is why he took the quick path to fame and riches, but in retrospect wishes he went right into trying out for the NFL. Yet another comment which while, surely sincere, won't exactly endear him to his colleagues if he returns to WWE some day.

ESPN said Lesnar had a "multi-million dollar contract with WWE," which is a fair representation of his contract, unlike many other media reports stating he had a $45 million contract.

Lesnar also denied using steroids, which Tony Dungy backed up (as if he'd have any way of truly knowing).

The segment also included brief comments from The Rock.

Impact is also a weekly show, you're right, it's their secondary show, airs every Friday. The show is basically their equivalent to Raw and Smackdown, I think.

Major Possible *SPOILERS* For Great American Bash:
The following are POSSIBLE spoilers for Great American Bash:

- With Undertaker expected to challenge for the title at Great American Bash, whichever direction WWE plans for Taker (heel or face) will determine the winner of the title match. There are some skeptics that feel the Bull Rope match won't work that well due to the size difference between Guerrero and Bradshaw. Blood should be guaranteed, but after the cell two weeks ago, it may not be enough to make a match in itself.

- The point of the Undertaker vs. Dudleys match is to kill off the Paul Bearer character.

Summerslam & Vengeance Main Events, HBK/Kane Feud; More:

As of right now, all indications are that the main event of both Vengeance and Summerslam will be Triple H against Chris Benoit for the World Heavyweight Title.

Due to Triple H's movie deal being delayed until this fall, he will be available for some time to be part of the main event mix for PPVs over the summer.

Meanwhile, Shawn Michaels is not expected to be back in time to wrestle at Summerslam and will be taking an extended amount of time off before coming back to get revenge on Kane for the brutal attack that HBK suffered on RAW two weeks ago.

Ric Flair/World Title News, Flair's Autobiography; More:

Last weekend, Ric Flair wrestled in what may be the final World Title singles matches of his career in pro-wrestling. Flair lost both matches to Chris Benoit, tapping out to the Crippler Crossface. Flair was in the main events due to the fact that he has a vast history as a main eventer in the Carolinas, where the house shows were located.

Reports stated that while Flair worked as a heel, he got just as many cheers and face pops as Benoit did, due to his legendary status in the Carolinas. Fans even began chanting for Flair right when the semi main event had ended. At one point, Flair went to ringside and began arguing with a kid in the crowd. He charged at the kid with his fist, and the kid ran out of the arena, not returning for a few minutes. That spot drew a ton of laughs from the fans in attendance.

As a side note, Flair's autobiography is scheduled to be released nationwide on June 29th.

HBK's Contract, Austin/McMahon Talking, The Rock's New Movie:

* The contract of WWE Superstar Shawn Michaels expired several weeks ago and it was assumed that Shawn would be staying with WWE as one of the top stars on the RAW roster. Those assumptions have come through as WWE exercised HBK's option year on his contract, keeping him in the company at a believed $750,000 per year. Michaels is currently "injured" and taking several months off this summer to spend time with his child and his wife, who is 8 months pregnant. He will be returning for SummerSlam to avenge the brual attact he sustained at the hands of Kane.

* Vince McMahon and Steve Austin continue to talk. Austin has been gone from the company since WrestleMania and was recently talking with Dreamstage Entertainment to join Bill Goldberg in Japan to make appearances for the company. However, because Austin felt going to Japan would hurt his chances returning to WWE down the road [possibly based on the advice on Vince McMahon], he decided to pass on that. At the moment, Austin is focusing his efforts on landing acting roles in Hollywood.

* Variety has reported that the Rock is the front-runner for the lead role in a movie called "Sup Mariner" that would be released in 2006.

Try it tomorrow night at 7:30 or 4:30 in your timezone. Turn it on the channel that GAB is coming on 30 mins early and I can just about guarandamntee you will be able to view the pre-show.
