I am actually excited about the new Young Guns-like stable that WWE is starting. Ted Dibiase Jr. actually looks like he is gonna have a decent gimmick, and maybe he will get somewhere, unlike his Father, who was never givin a WWF Heavyweight title (at least, if memory serves)
Any ideas for his partner? I'm guessing D.H. Smith...
As for the other people in the stable...uh..aren't Curt henning's kids getting into wrestling? then there is Jimmy Snuka's son, Deuce. Nattie Neidheart...Bring Back Teddy Hart?
So,
Joe Henning
Amy Henning
D.H. Smith
Jimmy Snuka Jr. (Deuce)
Nattie Neidheart
And (if they bring him back) Teddy Hart
That just an idea though...

The following is the official press release from CMT regarding Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff's new reality wrestling show on CMT featuring celebrities competing as wrestlers:
"CMT GETS IN THE RING WITH HULK HOGAN TO ANNOUNCE "HULK HOGAN'S CELEBRITY CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING"
New Eight Episode Series Premieres Fall 2008
NASHVILLE May 2, 2008 - CMT teams-up with Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff (Former President of World Championship Wrestling) and producing partner Jason Hervey in a celebrity fueled reality wrestling competition slated to premiere this Fall. HULK HOGANS CELEBRITY CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING will train ten adventurous celebrities who, through various exhilarating challenges and elimination matches, will compete for the title of "Celebrity All-Star Wrestling Champion."
Each episode will take the viewer through the training process, preparation and performance aspects of professional wrestling. In addition to starring in the series, Hogan will also serve as Executive Producer.
"The CMT audience loves professional wrestling, so a show where superstar Hulk Hogan trains celebrities, gets them into character and into the ring, and really pulls back the curtain on how intense, colorful and difficult it is to be a champion, is a big win for us and our viewers!" said Bob Kusbit, Head of Development for CMT.
"I am excited to have this opportunity at CMT to get the chance to run wild with their audience. As I looked at the sports entertainment landscape, I realized it was time to shake things up from the traditional formats people have become used to seeing.
The audience is ready for something different and more contemporary, and through my partnership with BHE and CMT, that's exactly what were gonna do" said the legendary Hulk Hogan.
The eight episode series will include dramatic team challenges and training scenarios, as the ten celebrities are divided into two teams of five, trained by two former professional wrestlers and judged by a dynamic trio that includes Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and another judge yet to be determined. Not only will the cast be confronted with physical challenges, but they'll also be put to the test emotionally during intense training. HULK HOGANS CELEBRITY CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING will provide celebrities with the opportunity to fulfill the fantasy of becoming a wrestler and proving their passion in the weekly exercises and challenges.
HULK HOGAN'S CELEBRITY CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING is based on a concept by and executive produced by Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and Jason Hervey and is being produced through Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment. Melanie Moreau and Bob Kusbit are executive producers for CMT.
CMT, a unit of Viacom's MTV Networks (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B), is the leading television and digital authority on country music, reaching more than 87 million homes in the U.S. CMT and its website, CMT.com, offer an unparalleled mix of music, news, live concerts and series and is the top resource for country music on demand. The network's digital platforms include the 24-hour music channel, CMT Pure Country, CMT Mobile and CMT VOD."
They are currently looking for enthusiastic audience members to attend the tapings in California. The tapings will be five dates in June in South Gate, California. The following was released by www.OCATV.com:
"CMT and Hulk Hogan are shaking up the wrestling world!
The new series will feature 10 celebrity contestants, male and female, performing moves like the Pile Driver, the Running Power Slam, Dragon Sleeper and the Triple Power Bomb as they compete against one another for the CCW title! Two former pro wrestlers will train the contestants, with Hulk, former World Championship Wrestling president Eric Bischoff, and a surprise celebrity guest serving as judges.

Yeah but D.H. Smith was in the New Hart Foundation with Teddy, Nattie, and Ted Dibiase Jr. it would make sense for eather, but my choice would be DH

Ted Dibiase never got anywhere? Because he didn't win the world title? Right...
I must say, these past few Raw episodes have been terribly, terribly boring to me. Of course I know there are a lot of superstars being completely morons and doing something stupid like DUIs, getting into fights and the pure and classic, Drug use...
May I ask why do they need to do that when they have success flowing around their easy-bake oven heads of theirs.

That sounds more accurate.
Did anyone catch this week's Impact! ? I gotta say it was a total mess... the first segment alone was so retarded. 20 minutes of boring promo interruption after promo interruption. Ridiculous. And it even felt like TNA had 4 entrances or something. Oh God TNA please fix your shit.

Right, and explain how you can say that. Just cause he never won the World title doesn't mean he never reached as much success as anyone else. Fuck, look at Piper, he never won the World title either, would you say that he never reached much success?

And Man, I had no idea how far the old MMA/Wrestling arguement would go, but as far as I'm concerned it ended in a draw, unless anyone wants to continue? Both sides offer good arguements, although it was obvious to everyone that the UFC guy was biased, even if he claims he wasn't

Erm. Nope. I know this is a common misconception though. I hate boxing as a sport, I think it's stupid and frankly perhaps even a little bit pathetic, but boxing is OWNING shit like it always has. Yes, MMA in the US has just come through a large boom, but it doesn't matter; De La Hoya had one single fight last year which generated more revenue than every WWE PPV combined that year. I'm not exaggerating. Boxing still draws obscene amounts of money and PPV buys, it is not dying by any stretch of the imagination. Boxing, has in fact, actually started getting "better" for it's fans in recent times with promotors actually booking fights the public wants to see.
UFC doesn't make more money than WWE either. UFC sold more PPVs than WWE in 2006, but it doesn't count for all that much when you take into consideration that WWE's income stills blows UFC's out of the water by way of gatesales, merch sales, television rights, videogame liscences, etc. Vince McMahon could purchase UFC with his pokect change if the Ferttitas were willing to sell it. MMA certainly isn't bigger than pro wrestling in most countires. Maybe like... Russia? I don't know about China really, or other Asian countires aside from India where pro wrestling is obviously far more popular than MMA. But in Japan the order is and has been for a long time K-1 > Boxing > MMA > Pro Wrestling. Maybe pro wrestling and MMA are equal. Maybe. But everywhere throughout the west - the US, South America, the UK, Australasia, etc - it goes Boxing > Pro wrestling > Kickboxing > MMA. Almost no exceptions.
There's some concern that UFC may be going through a bust actually, after it's big boom in the last few years, much like pro wrestling did with the attitude era and previous eras. This is a theory I support, as MMA is essentially shoot pro wrestling, it only makes sense to me that American MMA would be cyclical like pro wrestling is in terms of popularity. Especially with the impending retirement of several of UFC's aces like Liddell and maybe Hughes, Tito is done in the next month or so, and so on and so on. Really the most marketable guys UFC has right now are GSP - who's not exactly a dream ace for UFC as a French Canadian with sloppy English skills and not too many people else in his weight class to give him a challenge now - and Anderson Silva, who doesn't even speak English at all and again is a peerless wrecking machine without a credible challenger.
There's a lot of great talent UFC just doesn't have, and in some divisions they struggle to make interesting fights. Especially the heavyweight division, where you have like... Heath Herring, who hasn't been a top five heavyweight for at least 5 years or more... Tim Sylvia, who is a boring, stupid redneck which nobody likes likes... Frank Mir, who again, hasn't been a top five or even top twenty heavyweight for years since his car accident... Brock Lesnar, who while dynamic, frankly sucks at this point too and has had 2 fights in his career... and then the UFC heavyweight champion in Nogueira who most UFC fans just can't relate to because he's a foreigner with as much personality as a brick and is really only the third best heavyweight in the world. And that's all they can offer there. So yeah... that and all the rest of it, I don't think it's a stretch to say UFC is struggling to maintain popularity for now, and probably will be for at least the next year or so.
MMA fighters don't necessarily get paid well either, and they certainly don't get paid relevant to skill level. In fact, many people in the MMA community for a long time now have been getting on Dana White's ass because he pays some of the fighters he contracts so poorly. There are guys on UFC PPV cards who are getting paid like three grand (with submission/KO of the night bonuses) for winning. Meanwhile some jobbers in boxing are getting like quarter of a mil to get pummeled for five rounds and lose. The pay structure in American MMA is essentially just like pro wrestling. If you're over or you're marketable, you get paid well regardless of skill (see: Lesnar, Brock), and if you're not well known, no matter how good you are then you're not getting paid jack (see: most of the guys fighting for WEC).
As far as whether it's harder to be an MMA fighter or a pro wrestler, I think both are equally difficult for different reasons. Depending on what level we're talking about.
So yeah. I love MMA but it's not bigger than pro wrestling, either in the US or globally. Not by a long shot. And it's not without it's problems. The only place MMA actually is bigger than pro wrestling is Japan, and that's only a recent development after the fiasco where the public got sick of MMA's politcal bullshit and stopped caring about it when Pride died and Heros struggled and it looked like mainstream MMA in Japan was doomed until that crazy Yarenokka shit, WVR, and Dream appeared.

Ok, so here are my thoughts on WWE ONS:
It was a great PPV all the way around with the exception of the World Title match. I mean, wtf? Are you shitting me? This is how it all ends for Taker? He get's fucked over by four complete and utter morons in "La Familia" and fucked over by the biggest cock sucker of them all Edge? I mean, no way, and I mean NO WAY, can anyone convince me that that wasn't the biggest load of shit to come out of the WWE yet. I hope, no I pray that Taker comes back in some way, that there's a loop-hole that someone didn't know about, and he gets the chance to royaly kick the crap out of Edge, and use that chokehold to choke the life out of him! Here's hoping Edge's title reign lasts 2 weeks, or is done by NOC! I am done with Smackdown, the main reason I even watched Smackdown is gone, so why even waste time watching it now

Dude, get a fucking grip...Wrestling is SCRIPTED....that was all PLANNED....
undertaker will most likely return at NOC and fuck edge out of the title. I am almost 100% positive that Taker isn't done wrestling.
Edge as champ is awesome in my oppinion, but Taker as champ is much better. Most likely, Edge will eather drop the title at NOC, or get DQ when Taker attacks him and retains it til the next PPV...
Thats just my prediction though...

a little fall out from one night stand.
Randy Orton has apparently suffered a broken collar bone (you can stop praying now mkgeek ). No word yet on how long he will be out.
The undertaker is apparently taking some time off (which would explain his loss). I would very much like to see him traded to raw (or hired, or however the hell he's gonna come back) He's pretty much fought everyone to be fought on the smackdown roster.

The undertaker is apparently taking some time off (which would explain his loss). I would very much like to see him traded to raw (or hired, or however the hell he's gonna come back) He's pretty much fought everyone to be fought on the smackdown roster.
Why would I pray about Orton, I could give a shit about him! It's a shame though, that he got injured, just cause I dislike him, I'd never wish him ill will, but it'll be nice to have him off of tv for awhile.
It seems just about everyone said that Taker's taking time off, which seems kinda odd, cause I never read anything about that, and he took time off awhile ago to nurse injuries, but I guess. Maybe he's getting married to Michell McCool? Also, I found this online: Batista is expected to take a few months off soon, likely after One Night Stand. He is expected to be out until SummerSlam. At the moment, we don't have any details on his hiatus except that it's not Wellness-related. In light of this news, there's a good chance he'll being put out of action in his stretcher match with Shawn Michaels tomorrow night at One Night Stand.

Yes! The game is still WWE champion.
And about Edge's victory: This match sucked all the way. But I knew his sunday jackets would help him. Just hope Batista kicks Edge'ass at Night of Champions.

Never thought I would be saying this but the match of the night for one night stand in my opinion is Beth Pheonix vs Melina.
