Smackdown needs a new GM.
Vickie ruins the show more and more each week.
She should be fired and not Regal.

Regal got suspended in real life and it's only fair that he gets that kind of punishment on national television. And with regards to what you said about Vickie Guerrero I would much rather have her as general manager than the really annoying Theodore Long.
If Teddy Long does actually get the gm job on raw it will further my belief that smackdown is the A show.

Personally, i miss when Steph was GM of Smackdown. I like Teddy more than Vickie, but because of how little WWE pays attention to Smackdown, it's the C show. They have a roster full of excelent talet, but they can't use it for shit...WWE has been making pretty bad booking errors as of late. I wish they would just stop with the whole brands thing and just come together as one again...

WWE used to pull in more PPV ratings and money than UFC. Well that is until UFC broke PPV records in 2006 surpassing WWE and boxing by pulling in a little over a quarter of a billion dollars for that year. So Im not overhyping MMA. The WWE just isnt as great as it once was. IMO it will never be as awesome as it was in the 90's. It will start going down hill. As it already has.
Unless.... MMA has grown extremely fast, maybe too fast. I dont know where this could lead, but it might die just as fast as its grown if not handled properly. But I doubt it will ever go down.

Rob Van Dam will be wrestling for the Nu-Wrestling Evolution promotion in Spain from June 12-15, according to his website. He has been working out in California with Ultimate Warrior, who is working for the same promotion on June 25.
The NWE promotion must be throwing around a lot of money if they can afford RVD and Warrior. They also made a pitch for Bobby Lashley. The promotion is doing good business overseas and I imagine there will be some demand if they release their DVDs internationally.

Now I have a question, and it's a legit one too, I honestly don't know: How often does UFC have PPVs? Every month?

Yes, WWE will not be as awesome as it was in the 90s, I find it to be a bit better than it was then, but as I said before, it's not dying at all, and you are overhyping MMA by a long shot, and where did you get your stats from? Any way, opinions are like assholes, we all have them, but I stand by my belief that wrestling is and always will be better than MMA, period. MMA will never reach the popularity that wrestling has, and you can argue that as long as you want, but facts are facts. Any way, this is kinda fun, sparking a debate over which is better, Wrestling or MMA, but this should be done in another thread, not this one

Just look at the way even ESPN hypes MMA now. It's surpassed wrestling.
It hasn't surpassed wrestling. MMA fighters aren't as popular and known as wrestlers, and wrestlers make more money, more media appearances, and there's still more wrestling shows than MMA shows.
Of course UFC is going to break PPV records if WWE has shows more than once a month every year, and UFC does less PPVs and appearances.

I think its www.mmapayout.com. Just search for PPV statistics on the web. Its a bit difficult to find but its there. UFC has at least one PPV a month sometimes two. And although yall are right about UFC not having as many shows they still do a fair share.
Wrestlers do make a ton of cash. At least the bigger names do. All you need to have is a personality, and you can make money in the WWE. But money in MMA goes by your talent. I bet Rampage Jackson will make $500,000 this year from fighting, and another $500,000 from endorsements.
Guess where the Rock was last night? At UFC 84. Guess what Brock Lesnars doing? Fighting in the UFC. Guess what Kurt Angle wants to do? Fight Randy Couture. Guess what The Undertaker said he would like to do if he was younger? Fight MMA.
This sport is bigger than wrestling today. And that is a fact.

mmkay....
MMA is growing pretty fast..I mean, the first time i heard about UFC was around 1999...And look who has TV shows..UFC...Look who doesn't...Half of the wrestling programing that was around in 1999...
UFC is pretty sweet, and as a boxing fan as well, i find it a nice alternative to seeing someones head bashed in or just plain dramatic "Sports-entertainment"...I think Shamrock was a huge step for MMA when he steped into the WWE too...He moved that style into main stream...
Anyway, onto wrestling...uh..yeah, nothing interesting really caught my eye this week....

What a bias post. UFC guys don't do half as many shows as WWE does, and that's the reason why they're going to break PPV records- how often can you see them? Not half as often as you can see wrestling stars, and that's why. If you can go to a RAW house show on tuesday, watch Impact thursday and Smackdown! friday and then catch a WWE or TNA PPV sunday, obviously some people aren't going to bother ordering all the PPVs. With UFC, since it's not as accessible, it's going to have more PPV buyrates. It's not comparing two things in the same field AT ALL.
Having personality IS talent. Wrestling is entertainment, not a real sport. Obviously in UFC, an actual competitive sport, you're going to be more successful the better fighter you are, duh. No shit.
That last paragraph is just laughable and so bias. If you want to play that game...
Guess what Shawn Michaels is doing? Wrestling. Guess what Triple H is doing? Wrestling. Guess what Steve Austin and Bret Hart would be doing if they were younger and not injured? Wrestling. Guess what Kurt Angle is ACTUALLY DOING even though he wants to fight Couture? WRESTLING.
The sport is NOT bigger than wrestling today. THAT's a fact.
I have nothing agaisnt MMA, nothing at all. But if you're going to say something as bold as ''MMA is bigger than wrestling, this is a FACT'' you should be able to back it up- obviously you can't, since it's not true.

Brooke Hogan was driving a Merdeces that crashed in a seven car pileup earlier today in Clearwater, Fla., not Hulk Hogan as reports initially stated. The Fox News affiliate led with the headline: "Hulk Hogan involved in car accident." The CBS affiliate said his role wasn't known. The police report, obtained by TMZ.com, says Brooke was driving when the car in front of her lost control while changing lanes, then collided with her car, pushing her car into the left concrete barrier wall. Eyewitness reports say the other car was speeding, and doesn't fault Brooke. Hulk and Linda, Brooke's parents, arrived on the scene, but neither were a passenger with Brooke.

"Sabu did not work the main event of the XPW Reunion show this past weekend. He pulled out due to an injury but was still in attendance. Sabu has been battling many injuries for some time, but right now the major one is the current state of his back. He is in constant pain, and Sabu told friends that he needs back surgery; which would place several rods in his back. He is in such bad shape that he can't, or shouldn't be bumping around in a wrestling ring. Even if he has surgery, there are no promises that he can return to the ring."

One idea being thrown around is a heel stable composed of a group of younger WWE wrestlers. Also, they would use an older wrestler or a manager as a mentor. One idea is to make it a second generation stable featuring Ted DiBiase, Jr., Afa, Jr., DH Smith, Cody Rhodes (who would turn heel), and maybe Carlito as the mouthpiece if they don't get a manager. However, it may not be a 100% second generation stable after all, as other names being tossed around include CM Punk and Chris Harris. However, the young wrestlers stable is the basic idea they have in mind.

The UFC has been getting "big" for years. From it's start as more of a blood sport to different fluctuation points over the years. It just so happens that this time, MMA as a legitimate sport is getting big, not just the UFC, thus, more interest, higher buyrates, etc. UFC just happens to be the biggest MMA promotion right now.
I respect wrestlers for the long hard work they put in day in and day out, but MMA fighters do the same. It isnt the same type of work though.
How am I being biased Zentile? Everything I said is a fact. I didnt say UFC had as many shows as the WWE. I said they had their fair share. How many times does the same person wanna get his teeth knocked out? UFC cant have as many shows because its too dangerous to the fighters. UFC doesnt have the roster to do 3 to 6 shows a week.
Your getting kinda bitchy with me Zentile. That aint cool. I havent lied once. What I was trying to say was that a lot of wrestlers would rather have done MMA than wrestle. But MMA wasnt big enough when they got into wrestling.
MMA is easier on you than wrestling is. Look how bad Mick Foley is.
You dont have to deal with Vince. LOL. Dana is a step up.
Personality isnt a skill. Acting is.
Where is the proof that wrestling is more popular than MMA? You wrestling fans havnt proven anything to me
