It's almost as big as the Royal Rumble, and actually much more versatile. Why on Earth would WWE put a major angle on the C Show? It's not gonna happen.

Yeah, I know all about the fact that he supposedly has "heat" on him in the back, I read the net, and I think it's bullsh*t! I have a hard time believing crap like that when I read it online. We'll just wait and see what happens at Mania.

Anyone read
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
William Shatner is going to induct Lawler into the HOF?

Well thank you for ignoring the most powerful argument, which is ECW being a C show and The money in the bank being a major angle wink Oh well, live in your fantasy, sometimes I wish I still could

I have no doubt that ECW is the C show, when have I ever said otherwise? I just think that someone from ECW should win the MITB match, cause it will give ECW some much needed credibility. And thank you firesnake!

Yup, WWE lives up the the legacy of not knowing anything smart to do with talent that wasn't homegrown. Mind you they hardly know what to do with the talent that is homegrown sometimes

Just look at Dupree. That guy's been repackaged more times than Mick Foley, and he STILL somehow always maintains the same gimmick. Even though it's different. It's really quite scientifcally impossible to describe.

Awww man! I really wanted MVP to be in the Money in the Bank match at WM 23, even if it doesn't make sense! Well it's ok, he's going to rip apart Benoit and then take the US title at WM 23. And then.... MAAAYBE.... It's Taker vs. Batista at the next PPV, and then as Taker tombstones 'Tista, MVP comes out of the audience, beats the living hell out of Taker using his MVC (most valuble chair), and uses Batista's B-Bomb on him, PPV goes off with MVP staring at both titles and then wins World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor series in a steel cage triple threat match.

*Sigh* Wishful thinking. sad

I'd like to see MVP get a push kinda like Muhammed Hassan.. minus the whole UPN/terrorist part.

I'm sorry, MVP deserves a push why??? The guy sucks a$$ period! The only reason he may beat Benoit, is cause WWE lately sees fit to screw Benoit around. MVP couldn't take Benoit on his bad day! As for anything else you said, like Zent says, not....never...going to happen. Taker's going to crush Batista at Mania, thus keeping the streak alive, then, perhaps drop the strap back to him at Backlash, but in no way does MVP derserve to be thrown into the mix. But, like you said, wishful thinking! I wishful think alot (CM Punk winning MITB), but WWE is so damn stupid, that you can wishful think all you want, it doesn't mean your wish will come true!

I don't mind his MVP character..... he doesn't wrestle half bad, and he's got a FUCKLOAD more charisma than Benoit. Check out his OVW matches... Antonio Banks, I think it is. I don't know, I don't want the belt on another old guy. Batista is 39, Taker is 40 something... I dunno, I guess WWE is really emphasizing on ALL GROWN UP. If Kennedy wins the MITB Ladder Match two weeks from now, WWE will have done something smart, just like they did at New Years Revolution.

Dude, that's a bad arguement "he's got a FUCKLOAD more charisma than Benoit", considering, and this is no offense to him, everyone has more charisma than Benoit! He makes up for it, by being one of, if not the best technical wrestler on the roster! So I stand by my statement that in all reality, MVP couldn't take Benoit on Benoit's worst day!

BTW, Taker is 42 years old today, Happy B-day to the Deadman! And Taker, for all his dedication to the WWE, deserves one last hurrah as Champ!

lol. Everyone knows MVP couldn't take Benoit, even in a 2-1 match. If Undertaker retires this year, then I'm done for.

No, it wasn't an elf, it was a "German" wrestler, and he was wearing the traditional garb that some German people wear, but I can see how with the hat, he did look like and elf! Wonder what stupid thing the WWE will have MVP do this week on SD to get ready for Mania.

I personally dont think MVP sucks. He's got great psychology and is a fairly good mat wrestler.

I know this is semi-off-topic but what about UFC purchasing PRIDE? Is that a shock or what? PRIDE always had better fighters than UFC so now some real dream-match-ups may be on the way (though Fedor will keep dominating as usual).

** Details are scarce at the moment, but Joey Mercury's release is related to the WWE Wellness policy. More details on this story should be coming out in the next few days. Last May, Mercury failed a drug test and was forced to serve a 30 day suspension.

Also note, the story circulating around the internet in regards to Mercury supposedly assaulting Stephanie McMahon is completely false.

And yep, I saw Mercury's release coming, just not this soon. I didn't think he'd be gone for at least four more months or so.
