How come he doesn't come here anymore? At least to post in the wrestling thread.

Well he moved in with his dad a couple of months ago, and he doesn't have any internet connection anymore. I told him he can get internet for cheap, like 15-20 bucks a month. I know his dad had DSL bfore but I don't know why he got rid of it.

And blade, the Royal Rumble is the ONE PPV I always see no matter what as well. It's always been my favorite PPV cause there is no other match quite like it.

Also, has anyone read about MTV's new wrestling "promotion"? Supposedly, they're going to have Vampiro, Sean Waltman, Matt Sydal, Jack Evans and New Jack on the debut episode. I haven't seen Vampiro on TV since WCW went down, God I hope he won't suck. >_>

Surrounded by losers like Waltman though... not to mention the worst wrestler ever in New Jack... bah, I hope this won't soil my good memories of his fueds with Sting and others.

I think MTV should drop this idea now, and save themselves the embarassement! Any way, with regards to Vampiro, don't hold your breath about him being any good, I saw him in TNA on reruns on ESPN Classic Canada, and by golly did he suck! I remember him in WCW, and he was no better there either, excpept for his great feud with Sting, the guy isn't all that entertaining. As for New Jack, I'd rather watch him than Vampiro. BTW, who is Matt Sydal, and why should I care?

Any way, my favorite wrestlers, and I'm going past and present:
1)Shawn Micheals 8)Lesner
2)Batista 9)Ultimate Warrior (Pre psycotic breakdown!)
3)Undertaker 10)The Boogeyman (funny as hell!)
4)Hogan 11)Sting
5)Goldberg 12)Andre the Giant
6)Austin 13)Eddie Guerrero
7)The Rock

Well since you didn't like him in WCW why would you like him anymore now? Your opinion on Vampiro doesn't really say too much since you didn't like him in his prime either.

It's like you telling me you were excited to see Sting return and me saying I wasn't impressed but I never liked him anyway. Well duh of course I wouldn't be impressed by his return if I never liked him in the first place. sleep

Yeah, I guess i didn't realize what I said until after I said it, it kinda doesn't make to much sense! Oh well, sometimes I do that!

**Shawn Micheals apparentlly said that he wants to take some time off after Mania, cause he's becoming burned out and wants to spend time with his family. WWE officials are said to be a litle happy to hear this, cause they were worried about his health ever since he returned to wrestling.**

The character, mainly. I was a kid, I liked the characters and the visuals not the wrestling itself. I'm sure a guy with his weight was probably a crap wrestler but I liked the character. Same with Crush and Tatanka, I have no idea how they fared in actual wrestling but I loved their characters.

Eh... well, you're entitled to your own opinion on him. I thought he was a good worker in WCW, though. Except of course he had to job to a bunch of old fogies. He has his fair share of problems, but I was always a big fan of his vampire gimmick (who couldn't love vampires? :( ).

Besides... you're a Warrior fan, and he sort of sucked even before he went nuts... >.>. As for Sydal, he's mostly from ROH.

Rumble predictions... incoming.

WWE Champion Edge vs. John Cena - Cena's winning back the title for sure. There's no way they'd push this feud into Wrestlemania, and we all know it has to end with Cena getting the belt back. I would be surprised, though not VERY surrpised, if Edge won, because they've started pushing him as the top heel above Triple H and it would be a bit weird for this super heel to lose the title to quickly.
World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle vs. Mark Henry - Come on.
The Boogeyman vs. JBL - This is probably the hardest prediction in a very very long time.... I mean, on the one hand, it's the Boogeyman. On the other hand, it's JBL. I really don't know about this one. Though Boogey will probably win being that JBL is the heel, but.... I mean Jesus Christ, JBL was the champion last year. There's only so far you can sink.
Mickie James vs. Ashley - Trish Stratus as special guest referee - Ashley wins, Micke goes berserk and finally turns, setting up a title victory at Wrestlemania, establishing her as the new top heel Diva.
Open Invitational Match for the Cruiserweight Championship - Kid Kash is injured.... I smell title change. PLEASE god, PLEASE I beg you make Jamie Noble win it. I fucking love Noble, he's the best cruiserweight in the world, he has to win that title.

And Finally...

The 2006 Royal Rumble Match - Randy Orton is the obvious pick... but if they decide to go for a shocker, I'm going to go with Benoit or Matt Hardy. Benoit, because he's just my favourite wrestler and I want him to win it so bad, probably wont though. Matt Hardy... because you remember when he came back to WWE and he was interviewed and asked about wether he felt he was getting buried since he was jobbing to Rob Conway on RAW and recently he's got his ass kicked by JBL. He said ''ask me again in 6 months'', so... I dunno, maybe WWE promised him something big. Real big. Say, Rumble victory. Long shot, I know, but still, just saying it wouldn't surprise me.

Not to sure myself about Edge and Cena...I know that they have been pushing both of them at us for a while...Cena a lot longer but whatever. There still showing Cena as the super good guy...teaming up with Flair in his home town (that basically made it impossible for the fans to boo him). Still if Edge lost the belt so fast it could make him a joke so I'm not to sure about the outcome of this one.

I agree completely about the womens match. Mick is gonna turn heel.

Cruiser...I'm completely out of the loop as I don't get Smackdown anymore. So unfortunately, I've got nothing to say about this one.

Rumble...I say Orton. Although I would love to see RVD get the win after being out so long.

OK, RR prediction time.

Edge VS John Cena: Unfortunately, Cena is going to win this one. Oh you can, and you WILL see him, wether you like it or not.

Kurt Angle VS Mark Henry: Yeah, right.

The Boogeyman VS JBL: I think Boogeyman will win it. How the mighty have fallen... from WWE Champion to jobbing to The Boogeyman.

Mickie James VS Ashley: Who cares.

Kid Kash VS Someone: I have no idea. Kash probably won't lose it so soon.

The Royal Rumble: Probably Orton will win it. I'm guessing Lashley will make a good impression and HHH will last for a while.

Hah, DamRho, i'm a Yokozuna fan too. I just used to like watching him crush people. I guess that's also why i'm a fan of Viscera and Mark Henry. Especially Mark Henry. Looking forward Angle vs Henry, btw. A lot more than I am Cena vs Edge, which is a match I honestly can't pick either. The way this whole thing has gone down has made Edge out to look like somebody who wouldn't be able to beat Cena "fairly," and I get the feeling that if Edge's reign was going to be long term he'd be using the old WWE title again. But on the other hand, people are turning on Cena. But on ANOTHER hand, the third hand if you wieeel, that was New York, and I don't think any other area is going to crucify Cena like that. So to answer the question of who my pick is; I dunno. Edge I hope. But probably Cena. Or Edge. Bleh.

As for a rumble pick, ah, I dunno about that either. Final 5 will probably be something like Triple H, Rey, Orton, Lashley, and maybe another Raw guy. Hopefully Carlito. I guess Orton would be the obvious choice, but i'm picking Rey to win. Well i'm hoping for Rey to win is probably more accurate.

But mainly, i'm just ordering this PPV to see RVD set the rumble on fire. I've been waiting sooooo looooong to see RVD back in action and getting a push. One Night Stand seems like it was a billion years ago. I demand RVD go over Triple H at 'Mania! Demand it!!!...sad

Hmm...Well it seems I am going to buy the RR. Why? because the match is so good. This will be my first bought WWE PPV since Backlash 04 when Foley fought Orton in a street fight. Im only buying this for the RR and the Cruiserweight match (that better include either london or kendrick)

You got a good point there... I could see Triple H winning and going on to WW...most likely facing John Cena.

Well that brings up a good point. Ratings show that when the face has to chase the heel into Wrestlemania, the ratings are bigger. So I'm not so sure Cena wins Sunday, but who knows. confused

My prediction

The 2006 Royal Rumble Match
Although I am a Triple H fan I think someone else now should be in the main event at WM 22, but I don't mind him winning The Royal Rumble.
I think Orton, RVD and Kane have pretty good chance to win.
I'll go with Kane, because when he became the champ he hold the title for only one day and Kane is so many years in the wwe, but never came in the main event at WrestleMania and he has been in eight straight Royal Rumble matches so his experience will help him.

WWE Champion Edge vs. John Cena
everytime backing off from a fight is not a champion called for so I'll go with Cena, I've noticed he is improving his wrestling skills

World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle vs. Mark Henry
ah c'mon like Jericho said this is like Angle vs Funaki!
Kurt Angle will lock Henry with Angle Lock like he did with Shawn Michaels last year at WM 21, there is no way the fatso is gonna break that hold.

The Boogeyman vs. JBL
JBL overcame all odds when he became the WWE champion, so he has to win against this disgusting newcomer.

Mickie James vs. Ashley - Trish Stratus as special guest referee
Ashley will win, but I don't give a damn about this match

Open Invitational Match for the Cruiserweight Championship
I hope Rey will challenge Kid Kash and will win the Cruiserweight championship match. IMO Rey has been the best Cruiserweight champion ever.

From 1996-2006, Kane(Glen Jacobs) has been in every Royal Rumble, except in '98:

1996:Isaac Yankem, eliminated by Shawn Michaels
1997:Fake Diesel, and was in the final 5, eliminated by Bret Hart
1998:Was not in the Royal Rumble match, attacked Undertaker in a casket match against Shawn Michaels
1999:eliminated himself
2000:Final Four, eliminated by X-Pac who was actually thrown over the top rope but the refs didn't see
2001:Shattered the record of most eliminations by eliminating 11 people, and was the last person eliminated, eliminated by Stone Cold
2002:Picked up the Big Show and threw him over the top, eliminated by Kurt Angle
2003:Final 3, last Raw guy in the Rumble, eliminated by The Undertaker
2004:Destroyed everyone in the ring, but then eliminated by a distraction from Undertaker's gong, eliminated by Booker T
2005:Didn't really do too much, I think he was FUed over the top rope by John Cena

People he has eliminated:
Fatu 'aka Rikishi'(1996)
Jesse James aka Road Dogg(1999)
Kurrgan(1999)
Goldust(1999)
The Godfather(1999)
Val Venis(2000)
Prince Albert aka A-Train(2000)
Billy Gunn(2000)
Raven(2001)
Al Snow(2001)
Perry Saturn(2001)
Steve Blackman(2001)
Grand Master Sexay(2001)
Honky Tonk Man(2001)
The Rock(2001)
Tazz(2001)
Prince Albert aka A-Train(2001)
Crash Holly(2001)
Scotty 2 Hotty(2001, eliminated by both Kane and The Undertaker)
The Big Show(2002)
Rob Van Dam(2003)
Rosey(2003)
A-Train(2003,eliminated by both Kane and RVD)
Matt Morgan(2004)
Mark Jindrak(2005)

He has eliminated 25 people from 1996-2005, not to shabby. He has also had at least one elimination in every Royal Rumble except in 1997 when he was Fake Diesel.

Cmon I hope they finally give it to Kane, he has more than paid his dues. He's been in crap ass storylines, crap ass gimmicks, he's jobbed to people like X-Pac, La Resistance, Matt Hardy, Goldust, what the hell??? We'll see how he does in the Rumble tomorrow, if he eliminates 5 people that'll make his total elimination count to 30, which is a whole freakin Royal Rumble!!!!!!!!

You forget there are two main events, and Triple H has been backing down from the spotlight lately so I'm sure he could just win a number one contender's match on RAW and go on to Wrestlemania anyway.

That would be awesome if Kane won. But when I first saw the 1994-2006 or whatever i thought you meant he died. I was like WHAT! But then I realized it said 1994 and I scrolled down. I hope either Kane, Van Dam or Carlito wins because they are awesome.
