Not Pro wrastlin', but it's a nice highlight clip of wrastlin' type slams. Practical application of suplexes and what not in MMA bouts. Some crazy shit. Peeps should enjoy this. smile

Wow that was some crazy shit... one of the first ones was probably one of the best imo... when the guy had him in full guard on the ground so he just picked him up and power bombed him then knocked him out with a heavy shot to the face. Some of the ones from behind were crazy too... seemed like german suplex's except they got dropped on their heads.. wink

That would be a PROPER german suplex. Like they did back in the 80s and early 90s.

So far this Royal Rumble has 3 past winners in it(HHH, Benoit, Michaels), I hope they don't get eliminated all easy, cause I think its stupid when that happens. Like for instance in last years Royal Rumble Batista did a spinebuster to Benoit, and Benoit got up and Ric Flair grabbed him by the back of the head and threw him over all easy. This was the same guy who came in at #1the previous year and outlasted 29 other people and eliminated the Big Show to win the Royal Rumble. So far Shawn Michaels was screwed twice in the Rumble(Jericho beathing the shit out of him with a chair, Kurt Angle coming back in and attacking him from behind) but we'll see if it happens again. And I remember Kurt Angle eliminated Sone Cold(2 time royal rumble winner) really easy, he just grabbed him and like flipped him over.

Thanks, it'll be apreciated. I've already e-mailed WWE.com saying that they shouldnt block it for every single country in europe just because the UK airs Velocity and Heat on tv, but obviously I haven't gotten an answer.

Wow, been a slow time for wrestling news. They say Raven is pissed that TNA has written him off the show for 4 months at least. Plus he's mad at having to take the L to Xpac at the last ppv, thus the finish with his foot on the ropes. His attitude is getting old, and they are not going to pay him $1600 a show anymore.

Now. I was a Raven mark in ECW, he ruled. I hated what WCW did to him with the depressing rich-boy gimmick. And his recent stints in WWE and TNA were/are not as great as he was. But. WWE could really use a 'big name' TNA talent, just to even the odds for 3-D and Christian, more of a spite move, like 'Hey, better protect the talent, we poach too.'.

But if WWE brought in Raven, they'd need the Hardcore Division back, because that is what he is best at.

Future Raw GM? My take:

Bret Hart - Probably never happen, but with this HBK/Vince angle, who knows? Everyone has a price, what's Brets?

HBK - See above.

The Rock - Perhaps we haven't got a new GM because the Rock is wrapping up a movie? He has 2 coming out very soon, and what better way to promote 2 new movies for a few months then a weekly show. Plus when he leaves for his new movie, after he brings back JR, Bischoff can take over.

Shane McMahon - Stabbing Vince in the Rumble commercial? Foreshadowing?

Mick Foley - I'd like it, but how many times can you walk down the same road. Foley should be 3rd announcer on Smackdown! or some other on-air role that is not GM.

Stone Cold Steve Austin - Would be a nice surprise to see him just show up and take over, but like Foley, how many times....

Batista - Got nothing else to do for the next few months.

Stephanie McMahon - I'd dig it. Great heel.

Jim Ross - I'd dig it as well.

Anyone got any other thoughts?

I just can't see Raven doing yet another stint in WWE after the way he was treated last time. A well known, famous wrestler demoted to only Sunday Night Heat? Raven tried and tried to get noticed... he even abandoned his grunge attire in favour for something more "WWE acceptable" while trying to look original with things like kilts and really weird hair.

However, I believe WWE sees TNA as a serious rival much more now than when Raven was originally released. I think Raven back on WWE programming would be a good idea... and being that he's actually not a bad wrestler why torment him with the Hardcore division again? Not that hardcore is bad, but the title was a bit like the Cruiserweight title is now; received no push and was considered to be a big joke. Raven could do well with a US or Intercontinental title if given the chance, because the fans do know who he is and he is over with them without having to do much of anything. WWE simply demoted him to lower card Hell last time, despite the crowd reacting to him.

I do look for at least one major TNA star to be signed by WWE this year, and possibly visa versa. We'll just have to see who it is... many longer time TNA employees are upset so they could end up leaving. I've recently read Samoa Joe's attitude has changed entirely than when he was first brought it. It was said he was upbeat and positive about his future, but now he keeps to himself and is unhappy due to the backstage politics of TNA.

Anyway... as for the GM of RAW, I wonder if they're still going with the Dusty Rhodes plan? Apparently not. I still say this whole thing was stupid given the fact Bischoff cannot be replaced for what he did.

Raven News: Major Inside Update On Raven & TNA Wrestling:

In a retraction to an earlier report here on the site, Raven is not on his way out of TNA. In an earlier report, it was said that Raven is on rocky ground with management, but this is not true. His time off of TV has been planned for months, and when he returns the story will focus on the "Controversy in Canada" show where he lost the NWA title.

What is true is that Raven will not get paid during his time off of TV, because his contract is structured so that he is "paid per appearance."

Raven is currently suffering from a severe thyroid problem, from his years of drug (recreational and prescription) abuse. It is causing him to gain weight and making it extremely difficult to drop it, and he is now near the 270lb mark. Raven had tried to keep this issue under wraps from TNA management, so that they would not have to alter the storyline and make more work for them. This is not affecting his role in the company, as many feel that the break is coming at the perfect time.

There is no truth to the earlier reports that TNA is unhappy with Raven. We apologize for the earlier confusion in the report.

As for Raw GM, there is absolutely NO CHANCE IN HELL of either Bret Hart, Shawn Micheals, Rock, Foley, or Batista becoming Raw's GM, simply cause Bret said in no way does he want to be involved on WWE tv unless it's to say good-bye to the fans, Rock is done with WWE from what I understand, Shawn Micheals already had an unsuccessful run as the Commish of WWE, and is better suited as a wrestler, Foley sucked as Commish as well, and Batista is injured, so out of your list, Shane or Steph are the ones who make the most sense, however, from what I read online, Dusty Rhodes was some what confirmed to become the new Raw GM. Guess we'll see what happens after the Rumble, or later.

I wouldn't say that. HBK could be commish, if he fights McMahon at WM in a 'Winner runs Raw' match. Which is likely. Batista being injured is what makes him a good candidate for the match. He has nothing to do but rehab, 2 hours 1 night a week of non-wrestling is easy for him.

Bret, Rock, and Stone Cold would all do it in an instant, for the right price. Bret can say whatever he wants, he has a price.

Damn, thyroid problems suck ass. My father has one. He eats pretty damn healthy but the weight just doesn't come off. It's one of those things where your're like "wtf, a thyroid?" but it's a pretty serious problem that totally messes up your bodys motabolism and immune system. Hope Raven can get healthy.

Technically, there are still unknown entrants to the Royal Rumble at this time. RAW will present us with 3 "surprises" and Smackdown! currently has 4, though I'm certain there will at least be one more televised qualifying match before the PPV.

Royal Rumble information, plus some work I did collecting the rosters of each show.

RAW

Rob Van Dam
Big Show
Kane
Shawn Michaels
Triple H
Chris Masters
Carlito
Trevor Murdoch
Shelton Benjamin
Viscera
Chavo Guerrero
Jonathan Coachman
(3 spots available)

Still possibe:

Ric Flair
Snitsky
Romeo
Matt Striker
Rosey (Yet to debut on RAW)
Jamal (Yet to debut on RAW)
Tatanka (Yet to debut on RAW)
Danny Basham (Inactive)

Note: These are the "Spirit Squad" guys and I consider them higly unlikely to participate in this match due to the recent debut.

Ken Doane
Mike Mondo
Johnny Jeter
Nick Mitchell
Nick Nemeth

Eliminated:
Antonio (Lost to Trevor Murdoch)
Lance Cade (Lost to Viscera)
John Cena (In title match vs. Edge)
Rob Conway (Lost to Chavo Guerrero)
Edge (Defending against John Cena)
Gregory Helms (Lost to Viscera)
Tyson Tomko (Lost to Viscera)
Val Venis (Lost to Shelton Benjamin)
Charlie Haas (Unlikely, still fulfilling indy dates)
Johnny Parisi (Demoted to DSW)
Eugene (Drug rehab)

Smackdown!

Chris Benoit
Rey Mysterio
Randy Orton
Matt Hardy
Orlando Jordan
Lashley
Sylvan
Road Warrior Animal
Johnny Nitro
Joey Mercury
Simon Dean
(4 spots)

Booker T
Paul Burchill
Chad Dick
James Dick
Finlay
Funaki
Brian Kendrick
Paul London
Jamie Noble
Nunzio
Psicosis
William Regal
Mike Shane (Gymini)
Todd Shane (Gymini)
Super Crazy
Vito
The Undertaker
Sonny Siaki (No debut)
Kid Kash (Bruised arm)
Hardcore Holly (Inactive)
Steven Richards (Inactive)
Doug Basham Inactive
Batista Injured

Eliminated:

Kurt Angle (Defending vs. Mark Henry)
The Boogeyman (Match vs. JBL)
Mark Henry (Title match vs. Angle)
John "Bradshaw" Layfield (Match vs. Boogeyman)
Scotty 2 Hotty (Lost to Sylvain)
Ken Kennedy (Too badly injured to compete)

Note: Some of these guys may be eliminated, as I'm not sure of the qualifying matches, if any.
-----

I included everyone who has a match scheduled under "eliminated" as well, though it's probably possible they'll still come out anyway (JBL). RAW obviously has a much, much smaller roster... I never realized it that much until I did this.

Any thoughts on who RAW and Smackdown will choose to fill those voids?

My guesses:

RAW: Ric Flair, Rosey, Jamal

Reason: 1) It's Ric Flair.... and 2) Vince alluded to HBK's "luck running out" at the Royal Rumble. Seems like a good time to bring in 3 Minute Warning to do the job.

Smackdown!: Paul Burchill, William Regal, Psicosis, Super Crazy

Reason: Well, Regal is probably the biggest name not in the thing, after all. Psicosis and Super Crazy are needed to balance the match between lightweight and heavyweight. Burchill is a rising star and they'd be stupid not to use him.

To update on the possibility of The Rock at Wrestlemania, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the one person he would want to work with is Bret Hart. Due to Hart’s respect for the Rock, if he was to work with someone, The Rock would be a likely candidate. However, his physical condition likely prevents him from doing a match that he would want to be remembered for.

WWE has suggested Michaels as an opponent for him, however The Rock wasn’t a fan of that idea. He has made it clear that he felt Shawn Michaels was an asshole to him when he first came in, and was one to the point where he vowed he will never forget it. He also doesn’t think that Michaels is the same kind of big draw that Hogan, Austin, Hart, etc. are.

There is a chance that the filming of his next movie could be delayed until April, which would allow him to appear at Mania.

Agreed. What the hell is with the "cheering" squad? I don't understand the logic behind them. I know that my friend says they're a new tag team, but are all of them going to fight? Any way, I hope Coach is the first eliminated.

So so Raw last night, not great, but not bad.

For those wondering who exactly were the members of the Spirit Squad last night during the Jerry “The Kingâ€? Lawler vs. The Coach match, below is more details on each member:

Ken Doane - Doane is only 19 or 20 years of age and has feuded with Brent Albright and CM Punk for the OVW TV title and is said to be good on the mic. One industry source compared Doane to Randy Orton.

Johnny Jeter - Explained as a “focal pointâ€? in Ohio Valley Wrestling throughout the last several months. His most notable feud came with former Tough Enough winner Matt Cappotelli over the OVW title.

Nick Nemeth - Formerly Kerwin White’s caddy on RAW.

Mike Mondo - Developmental talent from the New York area.

Nick Mitchell - Mitchell was a competitor in last year’s Million Dollar Tough Enough competition.

I read an interview a while back where the Rock said he would like to work with Rey Mysterio. In that same interview he stated he didn't want a match with Micheals...he was nice about it but it was clear by the way he said it that he has no love for Micheals. So yah... Rock vs Micheals...I don't see that happening.
yah he said he would never wrestle shawn michaels because shawn was an ass to him when the rock started. Also i have a raw magazine from last year or 2 years ago dont remember, that showed who the wrestlers wanted to fight in wrestlemania and it said shawn michaels wants the rock for his last match.
