A rare WWE vs. NWA-TNA match has been confirmed for the 4/24 Cyberspace Wrestling Federation show in Wayne, New Jersey. The match features CSWF champion (and TNA regular) Ron "The Truth" Killings against WWE's Al Snow, in the main-event. Al Snow is currently signed to an announcer deal with WWE, not a wrestler's contract. In addition to that, Roddy Piper will be on the show as well as Mike Tenay and Michael Shane from NWA-TNA.
Orlando Jordan, from the WWE SmackDown! roster has opened his official online website over at www.Orlando-Jordan.com.
WWE agent Michael "P.S." Hayes was spotted at tonight's (4/14) New York Mets game at Shea Stadium.
WWE ShopZone's current top 10 list features Kevin Nash appearances at both number two and number five. Nash is not even a contracted WWE superstar at present date, yet holds two pretty big spots in the merchandise rankings.
Details On Lesnar's Return, Possibly Under A Mask:
The following story originates from MMANews.com:
A few days ago I reported that New Japan Pro Wrestling was considering using Brock Lesnar at their 5/3 Tokyo Dome show against rising Japanese wrestling star, Hiroshi Tanahashi.
The final card for the show has been released, and Tanahashi will be going up against an opponent by the name of "K-1 MASK" during a series of New Japan vs. K-1 matches labeled as "Different Style Fights." New Japan director Fumihiko Uei has stated that he wants either Brock Lesnar or The Predator (Sylvester Terkay) to be the man under the K-1 MASK. Uei is currently in talks with Brad Rhenigans, who is one of Lesnar's trainers, about trying to convince Lesnar to come and work for New Japan.
Uei plans to do as much as possible to get Lesnar to work the show, despite the difficulty of getting Lesnar over to New Japan with his WWE contract. More on this story as it unfolds.

The following news contains spoilers for Thursday's show. Do not read further if you want to be surprised on Thursday!
The new Mordecai character will be portrayed by Kevin Fortig, who was Seven in OVW. Fortig has recently been working house shows.
Despite what happened last night, Kurt Angle is set to remain the SmackDown! GM for the near future, so that likely wasn't the set up to remove him from the position. Of course, WWE plans do change all the time.

Several weeks ago Austin's lawyers met with Vince McMahon to discuss a new WWE deal. Austin's lawyers told McMahon that they wanted his outside projects to be separate from WWE related projects. Vince objected and thought that he should get a percentage of Austin's outside earnings.
Sources have told us that Austin is now exploring other options including Japan. Several people have told us that the two sides are so far apart on key issues that the deal won't get done unless one side totally caves on their demands. Other sources close to Austin think the deal will be done at some point and he'll be back.
Austin's deal with the WWE is believed to be near an end, and he is said to be looking at his post-WWE options.

That fuckin sucks about Austin, if it is true, I tend not to believe stuff like this. I think Vince would be a fool to let him go, but then again I said the same about Lesner and Goldberg, and they're both gone.
That also sucks about Confidential, but hey, the new show sounds great, but rather than this Todd Grisham faggot, panzy, assfucker, they should keep Mene Gene Okerland on with Ivory.
The presenters introduced Ric Flair and they asked him about his career longevity, Flair said he had been in the business for 30 years and he did that by avoiding major injuries in the finals years. He has been lucky to avoid them.
The presenters bought up the plane crash. Flair said that it was in 1975 in Wilmington, North Carolina and paralyzed Johnny Valentine, said he broke his back in 3 places.
How have you seen the sport change over the years? Its changed drastically, the marketing and that we are on Sky and on cable TV, Footage of Evolution was then shown. Flair said that we dont wear headgear, we are visible and get a chance to talk and thats what makes the business unique.
They then asked Flair some e-mail questions: Is it better now there is more showmanship in the sport? Its definitely better now, he said he like the money he makes now and one of the reasons he has been successful is that he adapted through the years. Says a lot of sports have taken things from WWE like nicknames and cheerleaders etc. The Nature Boy name came from Buddy Rogers, he stole it from him and a promoter in the 70s said it would be a good handle for him.
They asked him about his image, and he said he didnt know what to say but said that you guys (the presenters) are cosmetically perfect, Georgie, the female presenter, said she is embarrassed now. Flair said that a lady called Olivia Walker who has now passed away designed many of them. There is a girl in the WWE who designs them now and he has given many away for charity. The robes are as much a part of his image than the blonde hair. He said his hair used to be as long as Triple H, the guys who have longevity have come to the table with a unique look.
What title has meant the most to you? Winning the championship for the first time in 81 and winning it back in 1983, proved that he was around to stay and not just a flash in the pan. Said its harder to push himself at his age, but the guys know how to push his buttons and make him work harder.
What are his most memorable feuds? Flair said his feuds with Ricky Steamboat and Dusty Rhodes will be remembered forever. Also Savage, Race and Hogan matches were mentioned and are very popular with the fans. What size are your feet? Flair said they are size 13; he gives a Whoooooo for the person who emailed him asking for it. Ric Flair showed the presenter how to do a figure four, and actually did it on the presenter! He said to lie down on your back and Flair locked it in and the presenter tapped. Pretty funny. They shook hands.
The presenter said Flair is too good for him. Whats left to accomplish in wrestling? Nothing, Ive been winding down for 10 years! He enjoys the PR stuff. Flair said he doesnt know how much is in the tank but its a challenge for him to still do it, he trains everyday. Whats your opinion of the females in the WWE? The girls are a big part of the show and some are so feminine but they go out there ad wrestle like guys.
How did you come up with the strut? He said he started doing it one day and cant pinpoint when he started doing it. Where is wrestling going in your opinion? Wrestling has been in a bit of a valley but its coming back full force and attendance will continue to grow, said WrestleMania was a huge success, and said they are doing huge business wherever they go.
Backlash is this Sunday, how do you prepare? He said he is flying back to Edmonton on Saturday night and will train on Sunday morning. He said Shelton Benjamin can be a huge star in the business but Flair said he isnt ready to climb the big mountain yet. What would you do if you were not a wrestler? Flair said he would probably be a movie star, he said he got an offer a few years ago but turned it down because back then he had to work everyday with the business. Said Triple H is making his own movie and he is happy with the Rocks success. Presenters said it has been a pleasure and Flair said likewise. Good segment, very light hearted, seemed as if the presenters had done a little bit of homework on the WWE, which was nice to see.
================
If I were Flair I wouldnt say anything about the divas. It makes it look obvious.I hope he didnt do that.By the way there is a ad at the site where I get my news from that says:Ric Flair fired over Sexual Harrasment lawsuit.I'll check it out and see whats up.On a unrelated note.Im tired of hearing that Mcdonalds commercial. The one where this lady is having a baby shower. Its annoying.I just wanted to get that off my chest.
Booker T as a heel is getting over very well.
The Big Show shit with Torrie when he was smashing the windows and rolling the car over ruled. The part where he choke-slammed Kurt off the mesinine (platform) was gay. Don't get me wrong it was a good idea but wayyyy too much time was taken when they were moving the padding that he fell on top of out of the way. The blood under his head was a nice touch tho. Overall best show in a long time.

Sounds like a good show.I have to check out either Afterburn or Bottomline this weekend.Do you have any pics of this "Radien Look alike"?
Personally, I thought that WrestleMania XX was a big upset. None of the matches were that great, except for the Dead Man's return match, and the triple threat. The biggest let down was of course the Goldberg vs. Lesnar match, I mean when the fans start chanting, "BORING" at a WrestleMania match, you know that something terrible has gone wrong. So sad to say, that I probably won't even bother with the WMXX DVD.
"You see, I face a whole new Monster!! I face a man, who represents, the Nintendo Entertainment System..."
Hass really surprised me tonight, too. That match was funny as hell, lol. I couldn't stop laughing. Ricco, lol, to good. I used to think Hass really didn't have much to offer concerning charisma, but after tonight I'm thinking other-wise. Did he really puke on command, or was that just a camera-to-random-fluid trick?
Good show all around, despite a rather, eh, ending that had such great build up before hand. Though, it did serve it's purpose. Looking forward to the Show angle, I've been wanting to see him get a push for a while.
Peace and love ya'll.
The Big Show/Torrie segment was awesome. When big show was smashing the windows on Torrie's car, and when he actually flipped it over. and the way Torri was running away from Big Show while he was walking towards her Horror-Movie style. I thought that was pretty badass.
The ending was pretty sweet. At least it was something different from a typical Smackdown! episode. Are they actually trying to give the impression that Kurt is suppost to be um..dead? also, that "thump" sound when Angle hit the floor was pretty funny. I wonder how they are gonna continue this next week? hmm, maybe The Undertaker will come out next week, lay kurt's body on a table and bring him back from the dead. and than we get Zombie Kurt!. Kurt's music would sound more evil, and he will walk down to the ring all pale looking, with his arms raised in the air Zombie-stle, with a big bloody hole on the back of his head. that would rule!!!. And than Undertaker, Paul Bearer, Zombie Kurt and Mordechai will form the new Ministry of Darkness!
Wow! this shit is so predicable!! you know this is whats gonna happen
Anyways, the rest of SmackDown! was pretty good. That Mordechai promo was pretty sweet. He did remind me of Raiden from the first MK Movie. and he sounded pretty cool to.
Rico Vs Charlie Haas. Oh God! that was fuckin disgusting! I wouldn't be surpised if Charlie Haas was actally throwing up at the end of the match. ugh!
I thought it was hillarious when Bradshaw ran that political commerical about Eddie in the middle of his speech.
RVD Vs Booker T was pretty good. But was I the only one that notice when RVD did the German suplex to Booker T, fuckin Michael Cole called it a Belly to Belly? what a fuckin idiot!
Also, did anyone else noticed that they've been playing Steve Blackman's song(or parts of it) during some of the videos?
DAMMIT! Smackdown finally gets good and I can't watch it because I work every Thursday night. I'm going to have to start making my dad tape it for me.

You might wanna check the SD roster on WWE.com, they might have a picture of him on there somewhere.

They'll probably show the promo again during Afterburn.

That's him as Seven in OVW. Now, just picture him in a white hooded robe with white hair - eye brows, goteem etc - ala' Raiden. His promo package had him kneeling down in front of some candles, talking about how he was going to vanquish evil, or something. All gothic, churchy kinda thing.

Thanks!
Hopefull it's not a complete bomb. And if he is good, I hope they bring him to RAW along with the Undertaker. That would be a sweet triple threat match. Mordecai, Undertaker, and Kane. Just imagine the possibilities!

Hell yea. You know that will be a huge pay per view event. I may break down and buy it just to see that match.
And just to make things interesting they should make it either a Hell in a Cell match, or bring back the infamous INFERNO match!

Hehehe, aww man, Im getting all excited now. I hope they do make a match like that. It would be a dream, or rather nightmare, come true
Satyagraha Wrote: Ya, I enjoyed this SD as well. Is it just me, or is Big Show uber pimp at emotional acting? Especially when selling the sappy emotion. I remember when he and the Big Bossman had that fued over shows father dying. That shit was just too good as far as portraying emotion. This brought me back to those days. Great job by show. |
Actually, Big Show is a pretty good actor outside wrestling. I know it's getting a lil corny for all these wrestlers to act, Golberg sucked at it, the Rock was born for it, HHH we'll see, Nash who care? But Big Show can act very very very very very well, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him get into some roles down the road...
As for Smackdown, I'm pissed I missed it, as it sounded really good. Tho one thing still pisses me off, NO UNDERTAKER...they shouldn't have brought him back at all until he was ready to return full time. Even if he just came out once a week with his kick ass 10 minute entrance just to chokeslam someone, that would be enough for me.

NWA-TNA News Update: NWA on Fox Sports Network:
Jeff Jarrett told UFC officials that the television deal with Fox Sports Network has been finalized. Jarrett met with UFC officials two weeks ago in Las Vegas at the site of the UFC pay-per-view event. Jarrett pitched the idea of doing an inter-promotional angle and some cross-promotional opportunities. UFCs Dana White passed on both offers, as he said it wouldnt be a good idea for UFC to get involved with a pro wrestling company. During the meetings, Jarrett told White that the UFC deal had been finalized and spoke of June as the starting date. The latest word on the TV schedule for TNA is that they will tape bi-weekly in Orlando, Fla. for FSN, and will be dropping the weekly pay-per-views in favor of airing monthly events. This means the wrestlers would work the same number of dates they are now. Although most wrestlers believed they would be working four dates per month when they signed their TNA contracts, they have been working three per month ever since TNA started pre-taping the Americas X Cup shows.
Big WWE News Update : Big Show, Steve Austin, Wrestlers wanting part-time status & more:
Big Show is expected to return to the WWE within 2-3 months. During this time off, he will be recovering from his injuries. He did however offer the WWE to work during his injuries, but with the angle from SmackDown he may be taking the 2-3 months off.
Despite what was reported today, with regards to Austin's contract remaining at a standstill, conflicting rumors are surfacing that the Austin situation is very close to being worked out, and that one compromise that was reached will involve Austin working a lighter WWE schedule, to allow him to focus on other projects.
Again, since more sources are backing up the first report, that negotiations have not progressed, that might be more accurate at this time, although rumors are persisting that the resolution mentioned above is true. Apparently, WWE feels that Austin will miss the ego trip that comes from working a full TV schedule, while Austin feels this will allow him to focus on Hollywood projects, and then come back stronger and hotter than ever. One skeptical source has been cited with feelings that since no one really wants to work in the months after WrestleMania, Austin's contract issue was conveniently brought up right after the PPV, to give Austin time off.
Again, before controversy erupts over this story, various sources are reporting conflicting views. The initial story that many are going by is that WWE and Austin are at a standstill, but the newest rumor is that the dispute is all but worked out. We'll be sure to keep you posted.
Various WWE wrestlers are now deciding that they want Part-Time status so that they can spend time off with families and pursue other interests. One of the reasons Brock Lesnar left the WWE was of this. Undertaker is working Part-Time now, but because of recurring injuries.
