He's still on Raw right now, but if you've read my earlier posts, it looks as though(if the bullshit is true)that he may leave the WWE again.

WWE Signs New Wrestler & Another New WWE Debut:

Former NWA Wildside champion Rick Michaels signed on to work with WWE in an unspecified backstage role with the company. It is also possible that he will become an in-ring talent at some point, as he has the experience if needed or a situation presents itself.

There is a lot of talk right now that Japanese developmental wrestler Kenzo Suzuki will show up on the SmackDown! side managed by Funaki in the near future. Suzuki, who has worked dark matches, including WrestleMania XX week for both RAW and SmackDown!, has spent quite a while in OVW and is nearing a television push.

TSN.ca has put up an interview with current World Heavyweight Champion Chris Benoit. Benoit talks about what it means to him to be the champion, as well as the possibility of Bret Hart possibly returning to WWE.

I was over at Goldberg's official site, reading the transcript of his AOL chat, and it appears he is truely done with the WWE. Apparently one of the things he says attributed to his departure were the ways his character was used, ie, change of entrance music and being told not to use the jackhammer any more. However, he says that given the right circumstances, he'd like to come back and do a program with Austin. To read the entire article, go to billgoldberg.com, it's a good read, for those who want to know what's up with Goldberg.

Rock's Wife Reacts Badly To Movie Love Scene, Trish In Beauty Contest:

There is an article in the UK tabloid 'The Daily Star' today about how the Rock's wife Danny reacted to her husband's love scene with Ashley Scott from the "Walking Tall" movie. On-lookers said that Danny saw the love scene and after it had finished proceeded to hit the Rock in the back of the head pretty hard!

There is a 'Girl Next Door' beauty contest poll currently running on the Fox Sports' website. The poll is currently into round three and features WWE beauty Trish Stratus who is losing to Jennie Finch (the softball player). Check out the Fox website if you want to vote for Trish.

WWE to possibly cancel Confidential, replace with ECW

Headline Posted by Kevin Romano on 07:44:35 AM Apr/ 9/2004

Credit to PWInsider.com

Due to the terrible ratings the show has been getting, WWE has decided that it will cancel Confidential in the coming weeks. A few episodes may still air, but do note that the show will be removed from Spike's schedule soon.

One issue this brings up, however, is what WWE will put in the Saturday night/11PM slot. WWE's deal with Viacom requires them to produce a show for that timeslot, so they will have to come up with something.

WWE has not yet decided what the replacement show will be, but it is safe to say that WWE is getting closer and closer to the much-rumored ECW return in that timeslot. Depending on when Confidential is actually removed from the airwaves, WWE may have to run some filler shows first before determining on where they want to go with that slot.

Again, nothing has been decided yet. While the ECW rumor certainly has more backing to it now, it's not confirmed.

From the New York Post

Fox Sports Net is deciding if it should be teaming with NWA/TNA for a weekly wrestling show. A FSN spokesman cautioned against jumping the gun that a deal is very close.

"We've had some conversations with NWA-TNA but there's been nothing beyond that at the moment," he said.

"If something was going to happen, we'd be looking at a mid-afternoon weekly show, and June would be a date we might be looking at."

Damna, that sucks about Confidential, I liked that show, but it's the time that its on that sucks. I'm hardly ever home on a Saturday afternoon, so I hardly ever see it.

I read the Austin article yesterday at Stop & Shop. They said that Austin paid his wife to get out of his life. Then she refused and that's how the fight got started. After Austin slapped her around he said "Hell Yeah!".It may sound fake but you can check the article out for yourself. It's the one where they have alot of gay celebrities on the cover.I wouldnt buy it though.

I don't care about the departure of Confidental. Why should I? I don't have cable so I never see it. I have seen some episodes though at peoples houses who has cable.

Anyways? I'am getting the feeling that I'am the only one that liked SmackDown! yesterday. I thought it was a pretty good show. better than last week.

I never thought I'd say this but.."gulp" I might actually be a fan of Bradshaw now. His segments on SmackDown! was hillarious. The way he screwed that fan out of a million dollars by putting more wax on his Limo, and those funny comments towards the fan, I enjoyed it all. And that video he made of him kicking those mexicans out of the US. It might of been offenive to some, but I don't get easily offend so I enjoyed it. Bradshaw was really on a role on SmackDown!. I kind of don't mind that hes a #1 Contender for the WWE title now. "Runs away while everyone chases me with pitchforks for that comment!!!"

Also, I Heard that the Judgement Day poster is gonna have a cool-ass cover of The Undertaker on it, looking all evil and shit. thats gonna be tight. I guess that means Undertaker will actually be on SmackDown! real soon.

Actually, the more I watch Bradshaw, the more I buy into his new gimmick. It is getting a lil better with each episode. The only thing I hate about Smackdown is the use of the Undertacker. Apparently, he is only an "attraction", and will rarely be used on the show for a long time. Damn rip off.

I think the WWE is saving him for the next PPV.They may just have to bring him out now since alot of their main eventers are leaving.

cant wait for the undertaker to return full time. his new look is well cool and his match v kane was by far the best at wrestlemania.

Well as far as evolution goes i agree they need to disban. 4 Horsemen wannabees...I mean it even has the sound of hooves galloping at the beginning of the Evolution entrance music. Yes it really does, if you haven't ever heard it try to pay attention next time.

As far as Undertaker goes I agree his match at WM was one of the better ones BUT i personally hate that look he had. It is a rushed old school Undertaker gimmick. They didn't even give him enough time to grow his hair all the way out. Just a ploy to get buyrates as that has become very obvious due to not being on camera. Just the old biker with longer hair and a hat!?! So maybe at the next SD PPV they will do his character some justice and do his gimmick right this time around, as this will prolly be his last run.

I think that's what their doing now with Taker.Once he grows his hair longer he may come back.I dont care when he comes back though. The new Undertaker already made it in my top 3 WWE moments. When Taker came out and Paul Heyman said "OH MY GOD!.Paul Bearer looks a little diffrent also.It seems like he got taller.

WWE Not Bringing Back ECW; Working On WCW Trademarks:

Thanks to Pwinsiders for the following:

-According to the USPTO the trademark for ECW was suspended as of January 2004. That pretty much indicates that there is no activity with the WWE bringing back ECW at this time as has been rumored recently.

However the WWE has been working on the Trademarks for WCW through April, which could indicate that WCW will return in some capacity in the near future.

Judgment Day, John Cena, Eugene/Regal Segment Edited In UK:

Thanks to Pwinsiders for the following:

-Tickets for Smackdown's next PPV Judgment Day went on sale today. The event will be headlined by Bradshaw & Eddie Guerrero.

-Allhiphop.com is reporting that John Cena's debut CD will be released on June 8.

-William Regal & Eugene's segment on Raw was edited down in the UK. UK TV Programme Code as set out by the UK's regulatory body Ofcom states the following on the portrayal of people with disabilities:

"There is a danger of offence in the use of humour based on physical, mental or sensory disability, even where no malice is present. Reference to disability should be included only where necessary to the context and patronising thisthingisdisableds replaced by neutral terms. It should be possible for people with disabilities to be included in programmes of all kinds."

Official WWE Smackdown! Preview For Next Week:

SmackDown! comes to you next week from Indianapolis, whereformer World Tag Team Champions will face each other in one-on-one action. Rob Van Dam and Booker T used to be the closest of friends, but Booker T’s recent attitude change has put him at odds with nearly everybody – including his friends. Last week, RVD and Booker T were once again a tag team, when Booker suddenly abandoned RVD, leaving Van Dam to be defeated by the Big Show and Charlie Haas. Immediately, General Manager Kurt Angle set this match up for Thursday night.

As announced a week ago, Rico and Miss Jackie will make their runway arrival this week on SmackDown! Rico and Miss Jackie were once known as two of the most flamboyant RAW Superstars to ever enter the ring. Their introduction to SmackDown! fans should be every bit as wild as their best moments on RAW. Don’t miss the debut of this duo on SmackDown!

Last week, Angle announced John Bradshaw Layfield as the winner of the Great American Award and No. 1 Contender for the WWE Championship. Almost immediately, the stakes between JBL and Eddie Guerrero were raised when Guerrero stole and destroyed Bradshaw’s trophy. After two straight weeks of Guerrero destroying property of JBL, will the new No. 1 Contender have a reaction? When will these two finally meet for the WWE Championship? Look to SmackDown! for the answers.

Here is even more evidence that many convince people that WWE considers RAW as the superior 'A' brand and SmackDown! as the 'B' show. Here is the top five list of WWE moments for this week:

1. The debut of Eugene
2. Shelton Benjamin’s second upset
3. Mick Foley’s promo with ‘Barbie’
4. Evolution beatdown at the end of RAW
5. Eddie Guerrero and the Great American Steal

Many believe that Bill Goldberg will tire of working in Japan sooner rather than later. Promoters want Goldberg to work longer matches, which would mean he would have to sell more and possibly lose a few matches. All of this may contribute to a WWE return.

This just in, they talked/rumored about it for awhile, no it's true, guess JR is just a commentator now:

PWInsider.com is reporting that John Laurinaitis has replaced Jim Ross as Vice President of Talent Relations, while Ross has been given a new position of Executive Vice President of Business Strategies. Ross's new job is a promotion, as he'll be taking some of the work off Vince McMahon's shoulders. Ross will also have a lighter work schedule, which is something he's been trying to do for a few years. His duties as an announcer will not be affected.

Ross has been grooming Laurinaitis to take over as VP of Talent Relations for a while now. Laurinaitis is said to be a strong ally of Stephanie McMahon, and because of his age, is expected to hold the job for many years to come.

Sounds like the WWE is trying to make another show like Heat.Where all the wrestlers that's about to get fired. Not a bad idea though if they pull it off right and make it really feel like the WCW and WWE are seperate companies.

Put Bitchoff in charge of WCW, there's a good idea, but not Heyman im charge of Raw, that wouldn't work. No leave Heyman on SD instead.

I kinda thought it was funny that they would use the old Nitro theme for that faggot "Johny Nitro", I mean what a fool, I'm surprised the WWE bothered to bring that loser from TE3 into the company.

Judgment Day Preview; Undertaker Involvement?

The following comes from InDemand and is a short preview of Judgment Day:

From the darkness he has risen. Souls will cry and mortals will fear him. The Undertaker returns to pass judgment on all those who stand in his way. Don’t miss WWE JUDGMENT DAY, live and on Events iN DEMAND pay-per-view Sunday, May 16, at 8pm ET / 5pm PT

Although this preview could have been written sometime ago, it appears The Undertaker should have some role at the event.

Canaryofdeath sent along the following about Judgment Day Advertisments that have been running in Los Angeles:

Undertaker is taking on Booker T at judgement day. That match and Bradshaw vs Guerrero were confirmed on an advertisement for judgement day I heard while listening to the radio. 97.1 in Los Angeles.

Update on DDP

Headline Posted by Kevin Romano on 1:39:40 PM Apr/12/2004

FROM DDP's Official Website

What's up? I am from what I hear. There've been a lot of rumors about DDP pulling a Terry Funk and coming out of retirement. Well, it's true. I announced it while I was visiting my buddy Marc Mero and his hot little honey Mazen last Sunday when Marc and I went on the Monsters of the Midway radio show. Russ, Bubba, and Savannah, Daniel, Blackbean, Jeff, Dirty Jim and the rest of the crew, were jacked to hear that DDP was stepping back into the squared circle. If your not in Tampa, Orlando or Jacksonville and you want to check the MONSTERS... you can hear them on XM Radio "Extreme" channel 152. Of course, their first question was would I be going back to the WWE? All I said was “Look, right now I'm just talking about doing independent shows”. I finally settled with Lloyds of London and now I can do whatever the hell I want. I'm actually thinking about going to see Nash and Angle's doctor in Pittsburgh because he is doing a new neck operation that shaves off the bone spurs. This way I would be pretty much as risk-free as possible from a serious neck injury. Nash actually was baack in the gym working out two days after the operation. Right now, I feel phenomenal. After watching Wrestlemania and settling with Lloyds, I've got a little bit of that itch back.

And since MKGEEK hasn't posted this yet I will.

WWE will be reviving an old WCW tradition, as their PPV for this June will be called "The Great American Bash." The event will take place on the 27th in Norfolk, Virgina

Promotional photos of Torrie Wilson dressed as Uncle Sam will be used to market the event as well. WWE also plan to promote that members of the military will be able to view the PPV for free as well.

The Great American Bash was a series of summer events promoted by Jim Crockett Promotions in the late 1980s.
