I know what you mean with glitches. I havent had too many but I had one today. Was having Trish vs Lita for the womens title in GM mode. I was playing as Lita trying to get her the title. Nail the DDT then climb up the turnbuckle with not much stamina left, time to moonsault. Lita does her thing and leaps off, but stops halfway through and lands on her feet and falls over ko'ed. Trish lays there with her right leg sticking in the air.

Definately the biggest what the fuck so far. Had to restart the match and ended up losing to Trishy.

The gameplay this year is great imo. It has alot of little things in it that makes it seem pretty real. Just an example here but if you power irish whip HBK into a turnbuckle when hes hurt badly,he will do his flipping thing.

Anyhow... Cena will never be the next Stone Cold Steve Austin... no matter how hard the WWE tries to force it. He may have comedy skills, but he's seriously lacking in ring ability. For example... the Taboo Tuesday show. All Cena did was take a beating a lay out the ring for most of the match. Then he did his trademark moves and won. How many moves does Cena know anyway? In most of his matches, he gets beat on... the comes back with those Cena clotheslines, does his little "roar" thing followed suplex followed by the Knuckle Shuffle. Then the FU. Angle and HBK carried him through that match, and were the only reason it was entertaining at all, then again they are the best two performers in the WWE now (in my opinion).

It's just not very exciting to see Cena in the ring, and he definitely needs to work on that. Austin's matches were always entertaining to watch, because they were back and forth and not just one big spurt near the end. Austin had (or maybe has) more wrestling talent, in my opinion.

If Angle does lose this match, this is probably the end for the Angle/Cena rivalry for the time being. After all, Angle has been after this belt for a while now... and failing to win it yet again would only hurt his character.

Ha ha... I thought I was one of the only people that noticed Cena has barely any moves. Here's my list of his moves;

F-U (his finisher)
Five Nuckle Shuffle (basically his pre-finisher)
Flying Shoulder Block
Spinning Back Suplex
Fisherman Suplex

I think that's about all I ever see out of him...usually he gets his ass kicked the entire match. Then ends up getting ahead in a punching battle and or reverses an irish whip and does that flying sholder block. Then he does the Spinning Back Suplex or the Fisherman Suplex followed by the Five Nuckle Shuffle and the F-U. It gets pretty old...and yah I don't see him getting as popular as Stone Cold or The Rock.

Also as someone else said Angle is petty much the WWE's wrestling god... that guy is just awsome whenever he steps into the ring. Everything he does looks great. I hope he takes the title from Cena...unfortunately, that probably just means a fued with Cena. sad

Well, the news are that the New Year's Revolution poster features Cena holding the belt in front of an Elimination Chamber so the odds are that Kurt will lose to the fabulous 5 moves.

I have a question to those who have Smackdown vs. RAW 2006... I was thinking of buying the game sometime soon (the last WWE game I bought was Smackdown: SYM all the way back in 2002) and was wondering about the total number of CAWs you can have active on the game at once. I took a look at the roster and noticed a whole bunch of people currently active were missing, not to mention I want to create my personal favourites like Gangrel and Vampiro... anyhow, if anyone knows I'd appreciate an answer very much.

Smackdown was a good show this week. I think the Booker/Benoit match will be a good classic. Perhaps they are slightly passed their primes, but even so they are still two of my favourites on Smackdown. They've been held back a bit in my opinion... especially Booker since he hasn't had a feud for the title in quite a while apparently. My favourite match was Juvi vs. Nunzio, though. Juvi looked really great in the match (I already knew he was going to win since I read the spoilers), and afterwards he took a sign from the crowd that said "Latino Heat forever". Really cool, and the fans seem to be liking the Mexicools a lot more now.

Yeah I don't like that stamina system in SvR2006, Im glad they have the option to take it out. ONly one major glitch has happened, when I was doing a triple threat tornado tag ladder match I was Andre the Giant and I climbed the ladder and Randy Orton was climbing up and the ladder fell but me and Orton were climbing on nothing but air and then Orton fell and Andre the Giant just went straight to the middle of the ring.

SD was pretty decent. Boogieman is pure gold!! Gold I tell you!! tongue I'm glad peeps are getting behind Kennedy. I liked him from day one but, wasn't sure if others would catch onto him. They are, soo WOOT!

Christy's drop kick to open her bout looked pretty damn good. I was like "wtf, that was viscious!" She's getting better and better everytime I see her wrestle. Hell, I'm glad she's wrestling at all.

I'm still impressed with lashley, though I wish they'd have a bit longer of a bout for him. I love his style, just keep holding onto peeps and tossing them around. I thought it was funny when he jumped up onto the apron ala' Lessnar, haha. Not sure if he does that routinely, but I found it amusing. I also remember the seven match series back in the day betwen chris and book. For some reason, I was more excited then to watch it unfold then I am now. :shrugs:

Juvi acknowledging the Eddie signe = top tier. It's interesting how Juvi went all crazy and shit on the female officer some years back, pretty much destroying his career. Now he's Cruiser champ. Hope we get to see him and Rey Rey go at it, or tag up, some time soon. Hell, I just want more Mexicool action!!

Not sure if anyone has posted this, but just discovered it yesterday while playing SvR 2K6 Season, I was Batista, entered the Rumble at number 22, thanks to some moves against Sheldon in an Iron-man (killed him 7 to 0), any way, I lost the Rumble, and my season was over, how fucking gay is that? Never, eeeeever, in any of the past Smackdown games, has that happend, why the hell did THQ put that into this game? Like the game over all, and give it 4.5/5! Loses a .5 for the stupid Rumble thing.

Well, I decided to make some predictions for Survivor Series. I sincerely doubt I'll be able to watch this one live, but nevertheless...

Women's Title
Trish Stratus [RAW] (c) vs. Melina [Smackdown!]

If anyone has read the other boards, then you're already aware of my opinion on scantily clad women. If it were possible to be worse than MK or DOA, then WWE certainly would be. I won't go into long predictions here... because I honestly don't care who wins. I generally go get something to eat or return to my computer during the Diva matches, so this is really just a big waste of time.

Predicted ending: Melina attempts to cheat, but Trish uses her special moves to catch her offguard.

Hope wins: Don't care
Prediction Trish Stratus
-------------------------------------------------------

GM vs. GM
Eric Bischoff vs. Teddy Long

This is an obvious "last minute match" to fill in the card a little. I wish they had come up with something better, but I suppose I won't fault them this time given the circumstances. As far as actual ability goes, Bischoff would most certainly win in a fair match. Of course, I'm certain Bischoff will end up cheating anyway to put over his displayed Heel status. My only hope is that this doesn't last all that long.

Predicted ending: Superstars not involved in the main even rush the ring and brawl, causing the match to end in no contest.

Hope wins: Eric Bischoff (only due to the lack of heels I see winning)
Prediction: No contest
-------------------------------------------------------

United States Title
(Best of 7 - match #1)
Chris Benoit vs. Booker T

This should be one of the best matches on the card to watch, though honestly, one with the least storyline impact given this is just the start of a seven match series. Judging from their match on Smackdown this passed week, both appear to be in great condition. Booker looked much more agile than usual... though unfortunately the fans don't seem to be into his heel character that much. Benoit was consistent, as always. I look for this match to go on for a decent amount of time. Sharmell will undoubtably attempt some form of interference along the way. Both of these guys have a wide variety of moves in their arsenal, so I expect this match to be back and forth. As far as the prediction on a winner goes, it could go either way. However, since I seriously doubt many heels are going to win and this shouldn't be a repeat of Taboo Tuesday, I don't see Benoit taking the first match.

Predicted ending: Benoit will catch Sharmell cheating and attack her, but Booker will catch him in a finisher while he's being distracted.

Hope wins: Booker T
Prediction: Booker T
-------------------------------------------------------

Intercontinental Title (?)
(Last Man Standing)
Ric Flair (c) vs. Triple H

First of all, I'm still confused as to whether or not Flair's belt is up for grabs. When I've seen this match announced it's only "Last Man Standing Match". I know the match's gimmick is important, but I would think the title would be as well... anyway, that fact has a lot to do with how this match goes. I, as most, assume that HHH has no interest in the Intercontinental Title. Since he'll probably be back in the WWE Championship hunt before too long, he'd just have to drop the belt again really soon which could hurt his appearance a bit. If this is a non-title fight, I look for Triple H to take it. If it is for the title, I still look for Triple H to take it and drop it to Flair again sometime afterwards. I'm sure there will be a lot of blood in the match... probably some weapons and such as well. This is one of the few matches I am actually wanting the face to win (Flair), mainly because I just don't see any point of Triple H taking that title from him only to likely drop it right back.

Predicted ending: Triple H knocks Ric Flair out with his trademark sledgehammer.

Hope wins: Ric Flair
Prediction: Triple H
-------------------------------------------------------

Elimination Match
Team RAW (HBK, Carlito, Chris Masters, Big Show, Kane) vs. Team SmackDown! (Batista, Randy Orton, JBL, Rey Mysterio, Bobby Lashley)

On paper, this looks like an excellent match. A proper blend of wrestlers for sure. We have big name veterans like HBK and JBL, young talent such as Lashley, Carlito and Masters. Feuding teammates in Orton and Batista, and of course some powerhouses with Big Show/Kane and the cruiserweight representative Rey Mysterio. A few things I am awaiting to see in this match: How Lashley fairs against people he can't completely destroy. We've already seen him get chokeslammed by Show and Kane, but seeing how well he performs when he can't just power out a win in three minutes or less will show what his future really is. I'm also expecting some buildup between Big Show and Mysterio's match Tuesday here. I'm pretty sure they'll be facing off against one another at some point. Some of my favourites from both brands are involved in this match, so it doesn't really matter who takes the victory. Due to Eddie originally being on the team, I think Team Smackdown! will pick up the victory though. I look for Orton to challenge Batista's leadership as well, due to his injury. Which is why I've made the prediction I've made:

Predicted ending: Team Smackdown! over Team RAW (Orton over HBK, final, with perhaps cheating by Cowboy Orton). Undertaker returns and flattens both for the ending.

Hope wins: Team Smackdown!
Prediction: Team Smackdown!
-------------------------------------------------------

WWE Championship
(Special Referee: Daivari)
John Cena (c) vs. Kurt Angle

Woohoo!... not. After hearing about the Elimination Chamber poster, it's almost certain Cena's "5 moves o' doom" will prevail. I'm not sure how, since Daivari is the referee. I look for Daivari to be knocked out, forcing another referee to report to the ring. Before this poster nonsense, I would have commented more about the match. Then again, what can be said for a Cena match anyway?

Predicted ending: I wouldn't call this a prediction... since every match Cena wins has the same ending. 5 moves of doom and Cena continues his reign.

Hope wins: Kurt Angle
Prediction: John Cena

The exact same thing happened to me. I was Christian, went into the iron-man match with Shelton and climbed up a few spots, lost the Rumble. Some stupid Vince angle had the match restarted (apparently, someone had stolen his number) and I was the first eliminated on that silly rematch. I decided no to rematch (wasn't expecting season mode to be over!) and I got the Game Over screen. Had to start all over again. By the way, wasn't season mode supposed to be 2 years? I played with Triple H and as soon as WrestleMania was over the season mode ended... confused

Disagree, I hope that Sharmell gets caught early, and is sent to to the back, and Benoit wins match number 1. I think he might have won the first match in their original "best of" series in WCW.

No, I want Team Raw to win, cause of the fact you mentioned where Team Smackdown's Orton will be busy worrying about Batista instead of the match, and cause his team to lose. Orton's such an arrogant prick!

Well, my prediction was pretty sound. I was 4/5, only missing the GM match, which turned out to be the only surprise of the entire event. After all... I certainly wasn't expecting The Boogeyman, of all people, to interfere.

The ending went pretty much like how I predicted as well... Triple H used the sledge hammer and the final two in the 10 man tag match were HBK and Orton.

The only good thing was Cena getting some loud boos upon winning the match with a *gasp!* F-U! I loathe him, and thankfully about 50-60% of the people there did as well.

I'm honeslty really dissapointed with SVR 2006 as far as single player goes. The season modes are horribly lame due to the voice acting making the game totally linear (I miss the HCTP season so much now). GM mode is pretty boring too in that you really can't enjoy the work you're putting in to have a good show. About the only fun I've had with this gmae so far has been the CAW mode (although far more frustrating this year than any of the previous ones due to some stupid changes/omissions) and multiplayer with friends.

Yeah Cena keeping the belt sucks. You would think WWE would get smart and realize the crowd is turning on Cena.

Haha. I bet she's playing Nintendogs.

Anyway that PPV ruled. Flair vs Triple H was a classic. Flair really is the best. Truely. One of the best WWE matches I think i've ever seen. But Triple H must have so much respect for Flair to allow himself to be booked into a match where Flair gets up from three pedigree's. I don't think Triple H would do that for anybody else at all.

Kinda wow at Vince for calling Cena "n***er," but it's all in good fun. I bet the people who were initially offended by that had forgotten all about it by the time the PPV was done, after being overwhelmed by all the awesome matches. tongue

I didn't like the commentary during the last match though. Taz shooting on everybody was a bit much. It seemed like Styles was afraid to to say anything for fear of provoking an argument. It really took away from the match in my opinion. Maybe I just don't like conflict - i'm the worst wrestling fan ever, hah.

JBL looked like a million bucks after lariating the shit out of everybody though. Especially Big show. Those were like seriously stiff Kenta Kobashi league lariats, you could tell he was really throwing himself into them. Carlito must've been hurting like hell in particular, seeing as he doesn't have the size of Big Show to absorb all the impact.

I marked out for 'Taker. Very cool entrance. I thought that after being burnt, he'd return kind of like a Kane ripoff/crossover with a body suit and a mask or something, but whatever. I hope he does something huge before he goes out for good, because it would be a shame to have this big comeback for nothing. If the inevitable match with Orton is going to be his last, he had better take some sort of sick bump or something to make it realistic, otherwise i'm just not going to believe that Orton could retire 'Taker when guys like Nash, King Kong Bundy, Triple H, Kane, etc couldn't get it done.

Anyway, great PPV top to bottom. I could happily watch that again.

Decent Pay Per View last night. I enjoyed all the matches. Sucked that that Orton was the "suriver" but Taker will kill him later! Cena keeping the title was a little shocking, but still funny how Angle can't beat him. I think he'll lose the title in the Chamber match. As for those that say the crowd was against him, replay the ppv and you'll see that the crowd was quite divided, half were chanting "Let's go Angle" and the rest were "Let's go Cena!" So pretty interesting. Kinda reminds me of a TNA ppv, where the crowd is divided like that in all the matches. Reminds me to of Rock/Hogan from Mania 18, where the crowd was 50/50. Wonder if the WWE will eventually turn Cena down the road? Makes no sense to do it now, cause there's no one to play face to his heel.

Taker's return was cool. The way he came out of the casket as it was burning, was killer! He needs to feud with the Boogeyman! Sucks that team Raw lost!
Please try not to use the word I removed...

Honestly, Cena's face run has failed. The writers simply need to accept that. Sure, a crowd can be divided... however, if your main face is getting booed/cheered over in favour of Kurt Angle, you have a big problem. Like mentioned above, the majority of Cena's fans are little kids and teenage girls (which make up a large part of WWE's audience now). Kurt Angle has done everything in his power to get people to hate him and cheer for Cena. From "censoring" the 'you suck' chant to hiring on a personal referee in Daivari... and Daivari's inclusion alone is supposed to make us all hate him.

However, it failed. You've never seen nearly half of the audience boo Stone Cold Steve Austin or The Rock (excluding his early career) when they weren't supposed to. Also, who boos Batista? No one. That's probably because Batista can actually wrestle and doesn't need a cheap gimmick to promote himself, though.

I always thought John Cena was forced on people by the WWE.I think he'll work better as an IC champ than a main eventer. He dosen't seem like the champion type. The only time they ever gave Kurt Angle a good run was back in 01/early 02.And we all know why he won the belt then.Kurt Angle has everything a champ needs imo.

I was playing SVR2006 today in GM mode.I made a Fatal 4 Way match between Bret Hart,Andre The Giant,Stone Cold, and Hogan(80's version).I noticed how alot of the legends had something about them that made them stand out. Then I did the same match with new wrestlers and that "it" feel isn't there.I never heard about that Juvi thing. But I did hear about him bad mouthing The Rock a long time ago. What happened with that?
