Damn, yeah it is. I'm probably using that for my caw.
While going to the TNA website last night I noticed a new update. It has a video from this weeks impact (that hasn't even aired yet btw) of Chase Stevens breaking his neck. Not a serious break, but sick to look at. Reminded me alot of Sabu's sick head drop he took from Benoit years ago.
Two WWE superstars that have prominent matches in the upcoming Taboo Tuesday pay-per-view have suffered serious injuries in the past week.
Edge had suffered a torn a pectorial muscle in his chest that many believe will require surgery. It is believed that he will work his tag team match at Taboo Tuesday, in a very limited capacity with Chris Masters seeing most of the action in the ring. It is unknown how much time he will miss following the pay-per-view, but if surgery is indeed required, he could miss over a month.
Kane suffered an even more serious injury this past Monday on Raw following a superplex at the hands of The Big Show. Kane was said to be in a great deal of pain for the rest of the match. Many in the WWE believe that Kane had broken his back, but the severity of the injury is unconfirmed at this time. It is unknown if he will be available for Taboo Tuesday.

I've actually beaten WWF Wrestlemania The Arcade Game with all the characters!
I only remember Undertaker's:
I only remember Undertaker's:
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
Undertaker beat his opponent easily. After, he gazed upon his opponent so chillingly, it almost seemed that he could see through the soul. A mist appears from the opponent and draws into Undertaker. Taker does this to everyone throughout the night. He felt it was a shame because he liked some of the guys he killed. He works in mysterious ways only Paul Bearer (his manager) can understand. Taker then ventures into Death Valley so he may Rest In Peace.
For the fun of it, I'll add the code to Taker's Fatality:

Ok this post is going to be a little bit of a change of pace from me, but it's something I really feel like sharing with you all. The other day I was talking to a good friend of mine who told me that he has a guest spot on thewrestlingvoice.com. Now he and I have have plenty of debates over the years but the stuff he's covered in his first artilce pretty much sums up exactly how not only he and I feel about the WWE as of late, but how the rest of our friends feel. So today I've decided to share with you his article.
With a Smirk and a Swagger: Lack of captivity in WWE
Posted by Erik Colon on 10/06/2005
Salutations to all!!! My name is Erik and this is my first column, of hopefully many, that I intend to submit to this site. I was never good with the greetings so letâs just get down to the nitty gritty shall we? Than let us proceed onward with todays topic. Dramatic drum roll pleaseâ¦
WHY IS WRESTLING JUST NOT AS CAPTIVATING AS IT USED TO BE!!!
Now Iâm sure this is an over done topic but itâs one I would like to express the most right now. Simply put, wrestling just isnât what it used to be. Thatâs pretty much it in a nutshell. Now there are several reasons for this and I will go into detail about them in the following paragraphs.
Competition
Simply put competition results in a better product. The Monday night wars illustrate this point perfectly. Every week the fans were in for a treat, as both Raw and Nitro attempted to outdo the other. Raw upped the ante when they were getting their asses handed to them by Nitro and as a result we were rewarded with a better quality show. Now the WWE owns all and fears nothing. Therefore why should they bother to keep putting on such terrific shows? Itâs not like I can flip over to Nitro because itâs not on anymore. Perhaps TNA can be the spark to reignite the wrestling wars anew. Now I have never personally witnessed TNA for myself, but I have heard good things about it. TNA from what I can tell appeals to the hardcore fans. The fans that actually prefer a great match, as opposed to some old piece of crap leg dropping people. Thatâs what made ECW so great. Sure they were as low budget as it gets and the storylines werenât superb, but god damn could they put on a show!!! And to me thatâs where it counts the most. The actual wrestling. I truly hope TNA gives WWE a run for its money. WWE needs a slap on the ass to get their crap together. And they just might be the organization to do it.
Megastars
If you think John Cena (or even worst Batista) is the next Rock or Austin than you are horribly mistaken. Batista canât even touch those guys in terms of popularity. John Cena, on the other hand, is probably the most recognizable superstar on the WWE roster right now. To compare him to The Rock, however, is ludicrous. Cena will never reach his heights, especially considering how stale he has gotten. Now I donât necessarily dislike Cena. In fact when he first started the rap gimmick I thought it was hilarious. Than he turned face and stopped being a corny white rapper and became this idiotic tough guy. I really donât care if âThe champ is hereâ?. To that I respond âThe champ can go home cause your boring ass is stinking up my televisionâ?. Than we have the other champ, that beast of a man called Batista. I like big men. Especially when they destroy people like they should (how I miss ye Brock). Batista kind of reminds me of Mike Awesome. Mike Awesome wasnât the most charismatic guy around, but he proved substance over style every time. He was a good champ in my book. Why is that? Because he knew he couldnât talk, but he also knew he could destroy people. Thatâs why he kept his promos short and sweet and let his power bombs do the talking for him. I think WWE should do the same for Batista. Shorten his promos, and start having him obliterate people. And I donât mean Nunzio and Simon Dean. Give him some legitimate talent to destroy. Until than I can never take him seriously has a monster. He will forever be âThe Deaconâ? in my eyes.
Bad Management
This is one of the biggest problems the WWE has. Only they could take someone like Tazz and turn him into a commentator. Only they could take a great character like Raven and do absolutely nothing with it. The list is infinite. Tazz came into the WWE with a decent amount of hype, and he never came close to living up to it. He could have AT LEAST been the I.C. champ. What do they do with him? Dump him in the hardcore division. The main reason for this I believe is that Tazzâs move set doesnât translate well to the WWE style of conservative wrestling. There was no way they were gonna let him start suplexing people on their heads, like he did in ECW. So right there he stood no chance. If you are not gonna let him do his moves than why bother signing the guy? He had a real good debut match with Angle at the Royal Rumble. If he was allowed to have matches like that than he would still be wrestling today. Than there is Raven, one of my personal all time favorites. He can put on an entertaining match but his real strength lies in his character. And in the character-driven world of the WWE there was no reason he couldnât have shot up into the stratosphere. What did the WWE do with him? Dump him in the hardcore division. Was that their answer to everything or what? Hell even DDP was mismanaged. European champion? Give me a frigginâ break!!! He came in strong feuding with the Underbiker and playing the part of the wife stalker quite well. Next thing I know heâs downgraded. But that wasnât a bad thing, it was a good thing (sarcasm obviously).
Triple Nose
Ahhh yes. One of the banes to the wrestling industry, Triple H. The guy who seems to think, in his deluded little mind, that he is actually a big draw, when in fact he is not. Just look at the period of his absence and compare it to when he was around. Did the ratings change? Nope!!! He has no impact on whether any of the fans tune in or not. If I were Vince I wouldâve axed his ass a long time ago, but thatâs just me. I mean this guy runs the same feud time and time again. You beat him for the belt (usually uncleanly), than he beats you next month for it, while utterly burying you, than assaulting you with a sledgehammer. Wow, I havenât seen that routine before. Just around 94,282,125,245,455 times already. Heels are supposed to look weak in front of the face. Thatâs just how it is supposed to be. He never shows that weakness. He is always defiant and confident, and that is why he sucks so much. Show a little vulnerability for once please. He doesnât know how to put people over, because apparently beating people with sledgehammers is his way of doing so. True there have been some minor exceptions, but those are too few and far between. He always has to be in the main-event picture. Let someone else take over for once. No one wants to see your boring ass wrestle, which by the way you canât. He used to be able to put on a good match, provided he had a good opponent, a few years back but not now. If only his talent were as big as his nose than he would be on to something.
To Push or not to Push
Choosing the correct person to push, and the correct one not to, can be a critical decision. However, it is one WWE has been failing as of late. They have a horrible tendency to just shove these new guys down our throats, whether they are talented or not. Even worse is that they feel the need to give them mega pushes right off the bat. John Cena is a good example of this. He is being shoved so far down our throats that weâre practically shitting him out of our assesâ. Triple H has been down our throats for years so I wonât even bother with him. Letâs take Carlito for example shall we? If I am not mistaken, he won a major title in his debut match for Smackdown! and for Raw. Yeah the guy is funny, I give him that. His ring skills arenât that impressive though. Heâs not bad by any means, but he isnât ready for a belt yet. Yet they see something that I donât cause there he is every week, being shoved down our throats. Than we have Chris Masters. Personally I like the guy and the gimmick. But even I canât dispute that he is being pushed to the sky, without even truly establishing himself. WWE seems to lack patience now. They donât believe in slowly molding someone into a megastar anymore. Now they just want instant results and the fans wonât buy it. If they think theyâre gonna get another Austin overnight they better keep dreaming. Now they have made some right choices, in terms of pushing but Iâll save that for a more positive article.
Misc. Tidbits
So here we are in the final stretch. One of the BIGGEST mistakes WWE is committing is something that helped ruin WCW years ago. Signing older stars in a desperate attempt to boost rating, such as Animal, Flair, Tatanka (though just for a night), and whomever else. Than there is the biggest culprit of them all, Hulk Hogan. This guy seems to come and go as he pleases and always seems to get his way. He doesnât seem to understand that he is a decrepit, old fart and that no one cares about him anymore. Hey Hogan, 65 billion B.C. just called and they want you back. His matches are garbage and thatâs being generous. And than the one right thing he couldâve did, that being putting over Shawn Michaels, he didnât. Hogan just had to get his way. He needs to let go and come back to reality. Now old guy comebacks arenât always bad, case in point Flair. This guy is still great on the mic and can even go the distance when needed. UNLIKE Hogan though, he wrestles actively for the most part. I see they are trying to boost ratings with the upcoming Homecoming show by bringing in all sorts of âlegendsâ?. No one cares. How many more Piperâs Pitsâ can we stand? How many more times can Mick Foley come back? And how many more times can Austin make cameos, without intending to wrestle? These things do not help the WWE but hurt them, in my eyes.
And so there you have it. Please offer me any comments you may have, be it positive or negative and Iâll try to get back to you. Better yet, if I get enough Iâll dedicate a column to responding to them. Until than, Iâll see you in the funny papers!!!

Triple H is awesome. He can wrestle, he can talk, he can draw. Just listen to the crowd reactions, heel or face he always gets an ovation. Yes, he's been having the same feud for ages now, but he can put people over very well. Shelton Benjamin, Benoit, Batista... he did show fear agaisnt those guys. Not so much about Benjamin, but remember back in the Benoit push days, one time during a run in Triple H was going to hit Benoit with a clothesline and Benoit just stood there without cowering and Triple H stopped, and decided not to hit that clothesline, and ran away. The whole beginning of the Batista/Game feud was great to put Batista over. Triple H so desperately trying to put Dave on Smackdown!... I love Triple H. Awesome superstar. The only problem is he's always in the main event and always on the same feud, but he is by no means a bad worker.
And people do care about Hogan. His pops say it all.

Haha, $UB-Z?R0 you reminded me of something. Like Zentile said, my problem was/is always being in the main event, and your sig reminded me of how much I used to HATE that fucking sledgehammer. Man, we would get so pissed if he won a ppv match with that thing, swearing we'd never order another. But like Zentile said, the game is an amazing presence in the ring, and that promo he cut with Cena makes me want to see that fued.

Outstanding!

Man, we would get so pissed if he won a ppv match with that thing, swearing we'd never order another. But like Zentile said, the game is an amazing presence in the ring, and that promo he cut with Cena makes me want to see that fued.

Hanging out with Flair he became the dirtiest player in The Game.............

Hopefully now that Trips in on his own for the first time in awhile, he might actually start to earn his keep in the WWE! Now, you guys are obviouslly Triple H marks, but I can't, never have, and never will, ever like the guy, period. He has done nothing in his tenure in the WWE to impress me.
Now, onto that article, I never read the whole thing, just kinda skimmed it(too fucking long!), but i did agree/disagree with allot of it. First, about Tazz, he was better in ECW, that is a given, but he did not to bad when he could wrestle, it's not the WWE's fault he's at the commentary booth, the man can't wrestle any more, and has stated that many times, and it was his choice to try commentating, cause he didn't want to leave wrestling.

Did anyone catch "Santa's Slay" staring Goldberg, last night, on spike? I thought it was good, and I want to get it on dvd.
I'm not a Triple H mark at all! But how can you say that he hasn't been impressive? Come on, can you honestly tell me he's not awesome on the microphone? that his matches don't have great depth? That his feuds aren't entertaining? Can you honestly tell me the man isn't entertaining? I think you may be acting a bit kayfabe towards the man.

Ok, you aren't a Triple H mark but yet you sing his praises? I can say that he's not impressive cause the man has had everything handed to him since he starting fucking the boss' daughter, he ain't earned nothing! Yeah, I can say his feuds aren't entertaining, cause the guy doesn't even let his opponents get any mike time, he always has to make everything about him, he hardly puts anyone over, unless it some how will benefit him in the long run, he's had waaaayyyy too many undeserved title runs, sure he's got "great" mike skills, but I'm so tired of always listening to him, that when he left this last time, I was hoping he'd stay gone for good, but I could be so lucky. The WWE would benefit if he took more time away, and if they stopped shoving him down our throats, and gave his spotlight to someone else, hell, I don't know, just anyone but him. As for my kayfabe towards him, what the hell does that even mean? Do you even know what kayfabe means? I say the things I do, cause I have no use for Triple H!

DAMN! I just checked IGN.com (its been a while) and videos have jumped from 17 to 235 (or somthing) and screens jumped from 27 to like 357. I cant wait for GM mode. and after a 2 month absrnce (1 1/2 years from smackdown, but only 2 months from raw) im watching wrestling again. i just needed a break. Even though i know its fake, the new tallent is crap and the stories predate Julius Cezar, i wouldnt give it up for anything else.
Also, anybody watch TNA on spike? that shit rocks.

Surprise, Im back!
I agree with that article.I don't know too much about Tazz before the WWE.But I always liked him.As for HHH,I used to think he just used Stephanie to climb up the ladder in the WWE.But I read an old article about HHH in an 03 issue of Muscle and Fittness. And HHH said that he's one of the few guys in the locker room that speaks up.Do you think it's true or it's because he's married to Steph?I've been out of the loop for awhile, can someone fill me in?
-I heard Shane came back,true?
-What happened to me and MKGeek's buddy Mordecai(AKA the rip off of Jesus)?lol
-How is TNA holding up?

Shane came back during the USA Network Homecoming... he got into the ring and got stunned by Stone Cold.
TNA seems pretty good so far...I'm enjoying it.
Mordecai lost to Rey Mysterio and poof gone...

Just to clear things up:
1. That article was written by a friend, not me. I just said I agreed with quite a bit of it.
2. As of right now I am a bit of an H fan, but only until he wins the belt back from Cena. For the most part though I have to admit, H is not the same guy he was 6 years ago let alone 3 years ago. it's not like he's lost his edge because he's getting older it's just that he doesn't seem to do anything else other than feud with the same handful of people. He's reached the point in his career where the only thing worth his time is either going for the world belt or holding onto it. He's a 10 time champion already and he's still in his prime. It's like he's trying to become Flair as fast as possible. The chances of him going for the IC belt are only up just a little because Flair has the belt, but pretty soon that fued will end and chances are the belt won't change hands. Then H will be up to his old game (no pun intended) with the world title. And then what, it will be just like it always was with us wondering what will it take for H to drop the belt cleanly.
3. The thing about Batista is really all Erik. He has his own personal grudge against Batista, but not all of it is without substance. My only beef with him is he won the belt not because it was his time but because he was in the right place at the right time. sure he looks like he can be a worl champion, but he doesn't really act the part. His promos tend to suck because instead of keeping them short and sweet (the way Brock did) his linger on for a while and become boring an corny unless there's some comedic relief in the form or a charismatic heel (perfect example: Eddie Guerrero). another thing weird about the Deacon (sorry couldn't help it) is that he looks like he can destroy anyone in the WWE, but he doesn't. e's a big guy and has a lot of energy but his matches are somewhat boring if you ask me. 99% of all of the good moment in Batista matches have to do with who his opponent is at the time. I remember back when Batista first started making his mark on WWE and thinking "wow this guy can be another Lesner if he plays his cards right". Lesner made easy work of everyone in his path, but I don't see that in Batista.
4. I'm sorry the but Hogan only gets over because of his name. I don't know why everytime he comes and does his one match a year deals he always has to win. He can't take bumps right, he never let's smaller guys make him look weak, and every single one of his matches are so predictable a blind man can call em. At least Flair sticks around and puts the younger guys over. Hogan on the other hand won't even lay down for HBK and from the way the rumormill is going he won't lay down for a match with Austin either. Hogan is yet another guy who just happened to be in the right place at the right time. had not Bob Backlund gotten hurt back in the 80's Hulkamania may never have happened.

I disagree with a lot of stuff in that article, it's mostly just the same smarky complaining stuff as always. And i'm not entirely sure about Tazz, but I think he actually injured his neck in sucha manner that surgery couldn't be done and he can't wrestle anymore, which was why they decided to put him to use sticking him on colour commentary.
As for the Triple H discussion part 357092x450, I have to say that recently i've been completely converted. I've only been watching WWE again properly for about a year, and in that time i've gone from hating Triple H and JBL to loving both of them. Nobody in WWE says "badass" as much as Triple H does. When you hear his entrance music you know that the big dog is going to show, and when somebody actually does beat him in a major event (HIAC) it's a huge deal. I don't think you could really say the same for anybody else in WWE right now.
I recently read an article where the editor said "Kayfabe isn't dead, just evolved," and I think it's completely true. Think about it. Would Triple H be as hated if he was a babyface? I don't think so. WWE knows that smarks hate him cutting 20 minute promo's each week, hogging screen time, squashing talent, destroying everybody with the sledgehammer over and over again, "holding down" talent, being the center of the show, and holding the title all the time. And all the smarks lap it up, writing their big essay's about how Triple H is the death of wrestling, etc - WWE want you to hate him, that's WWE's job and that's Triple H's job. Wrestling has evolved, heels can't just get heat by talking trash anymore, so why should they continue to try? They can however, get heat by doing what people hate nowdays instead of what people hated 30 years ago. Which is hooging screen time, jobbing out talented guys like Helms, Tajiri, etc, all to piss us off.
Fans have become "smarter," and they think they have it all figured out, but they don't even realize that WWE have figured out that they've figured it out, and WWE are still one step ahead of them, pulling the strings of the "smart" fans and making them hate whoever WWE want's them to hate. That's why I think Triple H is so good. Not many people can get genuine heel heat nowdays, but he actually can (IMO JBL is still a better heel though). It's not Terry Funk heel heat where fans are actually bringing weapons to the show to kill him, but still, considering that kayfabe has supossedly been lost a long time ago, i'd say Triple H is doing a damned good job of making people hate him when they should know better.
Edit: Yeah Taz did injure his neck pretty severely, I remember hearing about how he walked to the hospital.
Doctor: "Your neck's broken, how did you get here?"
Taz: "I walked"
Dr: "No you didn't, you have a broken neck"
Taz: "Yes I did, I walked in here just now"
Haha. Awesome.
