Pro Reversal System - First wrestling game to ever feature a countering system that incoporates a contrary reversal for each and every attacking move

Gameplay Features

--> 4 different wrestler classes. Each class confers a unique movement style and grapple/attack preference.

--> Weight detection system considers the size and stature of a wrestler when determining the outcome of any wrestler-versus-wrestler interaction (attack reactions, lift success rate, etc).

--> Limb damage system: damage sustained by each limb is tracked throughout a match. Limbs which have sustained severe damage become more vulnerable to submission holds.

--> Heat meter: tracks how favorably the crowd is responding to each wrestler. The greater the heat, the more momentum a wrestler has. Maximum heat allows a wrestler to pull off a finishing move.

--> 6 different attributes per wrestler, each with a distinct effect on gameplay:

<>Stamina: ability to sustain large amounts of damage

<>Speed: rate of movement around the ring

<>Strength: amount of damage inflicted per move

<>Submission: ability to force an opponent to submit

<>Countering: ability to counter an incoming move

<>Charisma: ability to build up heat through taunting

--> 4 grapple types available to each wrestler: quick, strong, specialty, and submission. Each type of grapple has its own selection of triggerable moves, which vary per wrestler.

--> Support for all possible grapple states: against the turnbuckle, against the ropes, ladder, out-of-ring, etc.
Every move in the game can be countered or reversed.

--> Pro Reversal system: allows for skilled players to reverse a grapple move or finisher during the course of the move, granting a '2nd chance' to avoid a damaging attack.

--> Superstar-specific mannerisms (attack preferences, taunts, and custom motions) bring life to each individual wrestling personality.

Customization Features

<>Create a Superstar

--> Massively expanded selection of customization options - body type/shape, costumes, and gear

--> Gradual delivery of content: Created Superstars can be developed and improved via their progress through the game's career mode.

--> Created Superstars can be brought online to fight against another player's creation.

Create a Championship

--> Users are given the opportunity to craft a Championship of their own design. They may specify the materials the championship is made of, the style of the faceplate and sideplates, plus any additional embellishments that make a championship stand out (I.e. precious gems attached to various points).

--> Progressing through the single player game unlocks additional elements that can be purchased and attached to the belt, adding to its value.

--> At any time, a championship can be defended locally on the user's machine, or it can be taken online and defended against all challengers.

--> Successfully defending a championship adds to its value, which is tracked online for those championships that rank among the most prestigious.

Environment Details

OMFG! between you and drfatality I've gotten so much info, I can't fucking wait for this game. I'm getting an X-Box next year and am getting this game for sure.smilewinkgrin

I agree with DRFATALITY when he said that RVD might be scared to go over to Iraq, and I can't say that I blame him! I heard/read that there was actually some activity while the WWE was over there, Foley was saying there was some stuff that went down, and, lol this is kinda funny, Foley said, "and while all this went on, Big Show just sat and continued to eat his Corn Pops!" I just think it's stupid that they'd give RVD and Luthor Reigns grief over their not wanting to go, then Luthor changed his mind and ended up going. I wish JR was still the VP of Talent and not Johny Ace.

Hey, anyone watch those "Slam Bam" specials on Discovery channel last night?

Dumb Smarks.

1. None off those tough enough guys were my favorite, I could careless who won!!

2.I didn't say all cheers are fake, I said some!

Don't get your feelings hurt because I talk about Puder!! sad

Who givs a crap about any of them!!

Wrestlemania 21 sounds real good, but i hope the have Create a PPV mode

I'm not talking about Puder, I'm talking about all the smarks on different boards who say cheers are fake because their favorite star isn't getting cheered 'enough'. My Favorite Match of 2004 was either The Ironman Match for the title on RAW, or Triple Threat Match at WMXX for the WHC.

Anyways:

I had an idea, take pictures of the WWE toys fighting, put text commentary, and post it. For Example:

(WWE Championship Match (Tazz and Michael Cole were unavailible for commentary, so we have JR and the King):

JR: Eddie's going up for The Frog Splash...

JR: BAH GAWD! INTERFERENCE BY THOSE DAMN DUDLEYS!

King: Calm Down JR!

]

JR: NO! BAH GAWD IT CAN'T HAPPEN LIKE THIS!

King: That was The 3D by The Dudley Boys!

JR: BAH GAWD HE GOT WHIPPED LIKE A GOVERNMENT MULE!

King: Looks like Kurt Angle is going to capitalize!

JR: NO! NO!

JR: BAH GAWD THE ANGLE SLAM! THE ANGLE SLAM! WHAT IMPACT BAH GAWD!

King: Stop getting yourself worked up JR!

(1)

JR: NO!

(2)

JR: NO!

(3)

(Ding Ding Ding)

JR: BAH GAWD! IF IT WEREN'T FOR THOSE DAMN DUDLEYS, EDDIE GUERRO WOULD STILL BE CHAMPION!

King: Take your medicine JR!

Howard Finkel: Here is your winner, and NEEEEEEEWWWWWWWW WWE Champion, Kurt...An-gle!

JR: KURT ANGLE! KURT ANGLE! KURT ANGLE! KURT ANGLE! KURT A-

King: (...)

King: Hey, we need some paramedics, JR had a Heart Attack again!

What do you think?

Funny shit.
I had the entire WCW collection, and the Nitro ring. Eventually me and my buddy decided to play 'Mortal Kombat', and wasted all those hundreds of dollars away by burning, sawing, and impaling everybody.
Some funny things though, are that the Scott Hall figure could never stand up straight for more than a few seconds without falling over, Nash's leg broke off really easily (I swung him around by his ankle and BAM!, snapped off at the knee...whaddya' know), and when I first got Goldberg the belt was really hard to remove from his waist, heh.

Were those the same WCW ones that were HUGE compared to the WWF ones? I had Hall and Nash and I recall them being gigantic..

SuperMarioBro, that was funny stuff. I'd like to see more of that!

Any how, my favorite match for 2004, was the Triple Threat for the Raw World Title at Wrestlemania 20. It had lots of great action and a well deserving champion in Benoit emerged. I know this is early, but I think my favorite match for 2005 will be the Elimination Chamber match at WWE New Years Revolution! wink

LOL@the wrestling ring fights. The WCW figures were BIG!I liked the WWF/E ones better. You could hear their bones break.I had a WCW ring I forgot which one it was though. All I remember was it had The Titantron and it had a soft ring mat.The Titantron played the Wolfpac Theme song."Don't turn your back on the Wolfpac,You wind up in a bodybag"

I have to agree with you. I missed The match at Wrestlemania but saw it last night, it was great. Also on the Elimination Chamber, it looks like a good match.

Does anybody know what other matches will be on the PPV, or has it yet to be announced. Who do you all want to win in the World Heavyweight Title Match? Personally I want Jericho to win, but that's because he's one of my favorites.

SMB, that was gold. Good stuff, man.

K, so on Jan. 7th, Impact is moving to 4pm on fridays and will re-air on saturdays at midnight. Sweet. A little better time slot and a re-air is top tier.

Also, Toy Biz will be making TNA action figures starting march of 05. Sounds like TNA is rushing that shit down, WOOT. TNA! TNA! TNA!....

The Elimination Chamber does look like it will be a good match one of the best of 2005 no doubt. My money is on Jericho winning,I hope they don't put the belt back on Randy again.I like Randy but he's still not ready to be champion.Y2J having a title run would be just what Raw needs someone new and fresh holding the title.I'd also like to see Benoit win again but I doubt if he will.Edge has grown on me as a heel because i hated him as a face, but he's not ready to be champ either.Triple H doesn't need the belt I think he can have some good fueds without it,him and Orton can fight at WM21 without the belt to end their fued. And my sleeper is Batistia,i don't know but I have a funny feeling he just might win the title.I love Dave Batistia but as champion?I do beleive he will pin the most people in the Chamber and look dominate, which he should. But Triple H will turn on him or he will turn on HHH.This Elimination Chamber match should be better then the last one because no Goldberg or Kevin Nash to make it suck.

I'm not sure I've said this already, but I hope this is the way it will go (the chamber match, I mean):

Benoit makes Edge tap out
Batista pins Y2J after double teaming with HHH
Benoit and Batista duke it out while Orton and HHH beat the hell out of each other, and at a certain point, Batista is really worn out but manages to pull a spinebuster on Benoit to buy himself sometime. As he turns around though, he is faced with HHH who has just done the face buster (momentum swapper) to Randy Orton, and spinebusts him aswell, getting the pinfall.
So it turns into Batista/Orton/Benoit and eventually either Benoit or Orton win the title. Hopefully Benoit because I think an Orton/Batista/HHH/Ric Flair feud would rock.

Like I said before. I don't give a damn who pins who in this thing, just as long as Triple H or Randy Orton doesn't win the title.

Alright wrestling fans. I'm here with the 6 Roads of the WWE. I'm going to lay out what WWE should do if each wrestler won the title at NYR. We'll start with Benoit shall we?

Note: These will be under the assumption that Batista will turn on Hunter at NYR.

Benoit: Should end the match by making Edge tap out. Next week he will be put into a title rematch against Trips and win, due to interference from Batista. He should begin a rivalry with Edge and HHH that will lead to him tag matching with Batista or Jericho, alternately for weeks 2 and 3. At Royal Rumble he will face Edge or Triple H for the title and pull out the win.

Orton: Should end the match with the illegitamite child of the Diamond Cutter on HHH. Next week title rematch with HHH, he wins cleanly. Week 2 he should be ambushed by Flair and HHH, with a tag match with him and Batista against Flair and HHH. Batista and Orton won't get along, Benoit and Michaels style, though, with Batista still acting like a heel. They'll pull out the win, but Batista attacks Orton afterwards. Week 3 will hold a triple threat to see who will face Orton at Royal Rumble between Flair, Hunter, and Batista. Batista wins via spinebuster on Flair. Orton faces Batista at Royal Rumble but wins after a hard fought match. Orton congragulates Batista for a good match.

Triple H: It's going to be hard to defend the title when the fans mob and lynch Hunter if he wins at NYR.

Edge: Wins by spear on Benoit. He goes nuts after the match, think Benoit at WMXX times 10. At next week, he'll brag about winning the title when no one thought he could, and saying that he could beat anyone on the RAW roster anytime. Which leads to Bischoff coming down and saying that if he can beat anyone on the RAW roster, he can defend the title every day of RAW this month. Starting with HHH. Edge defeats HHH the 1st week, Batista the next, and Orton the next. At Royal Rumble he'll face Jericho and Benoit in a handicap match, and Benoit or Jericho win it from him.

Jericho: Walls of Jericho on HHH. Next week he wins the rematch against HHH. The next week there is a 3 way tag match with Jericho and Benoit vs. Edge and HHH vs. Orton and Batista. Jericho again beats HHH for the win. He faces HHH again for the title in the 3rd week due to HHH pulling some strings. Again he wins. No title match at Royal Rumble.

Batista: Whoo boy, if this happens, it's gonna make or break WWE. They have to do THIS right if Dave wins. HHH will make the rematch for Royal Rumble. He faces Flair in a non-title match on the 1st week, but loses by interference from Triple H. He's in tag team action next week, facing Flair and HHH with Orton. See Orton for results. On the 3rd week, Triple H will do his best to soften him up for the upcoming PPV, ambushing him, attacking from behind, etc. At Royal Rumble, he pulls out the win just barely by reversing the Pedigree.

Well, that's it. Those are my suggestions. The Court Jester of MKO has spoken.

I like the Edge idea of him putting the World Title on the line all month. Infact, I would like to see that with pretty much any Heel Champion. Even on SD! with Teddy Long telling JBL to defend his WWE title all throught January for all the rude comments JBL made towards him, like a revenge thing. alot of directions can really come out of this "heels defends his title all month" storyline that would benifit future storylines. the WWE should try this something soon.

For me, my New Year's Revolution storyline is quite simple. batista eliminates Triple H, he gets pissed, they start feuding which leads to a match at WrestleMania, now thats out of the way. Anyways, Benoit and Jericho are the last two left in the Chamber, Benoit slaps the crossface on Jericho, Benoit wins the title, Jericho gets pissed about it. demands a re-match at the Royal Rumble, Benoit Vs Jericho for the World Title at the Royal Rumble which would be an awesome match, throughtout the Benoit/Jericho feud, Edge is added in the mix to continue the Benoit/Edge feud from the begining, after the Rumble, Benoit Vs Edge becomes THE top feud leading to Mania, and the heated rivalery ends at WrestleMania with Benoit Vs Edge for the World title.

I'am sure the WWE could make it much more interesting than this sence I don't feel like going into deep details. but this is pretty much a LAYOUT of what I would like to see.

Well it's too bad none of us are getting what we want since the plan is most likely still HHH vs Orton for the world's title at Mania, so Trips will probably win the Elimination Chamber to become a ten time world's champion, so we can have a Heel title drop at Mania.
This sucks.

Yeah, that is the most likelly scenerio that will happen at NYR. But I still hope Batista wins!

LOL!! You gotta love JBL, funniest thing I ever seen. That cowboy hat on top of the helmet is priceless! and he cut a damn funny promo.

I thought SmackDown! in Iraq was a pretty good show. the tag team Main-Event was great, Taker/Heidenreich was pretty decent, the other two matches were Ok. But I guess my opinions doesn't matter. the US Troops seems like they had a blast with the WWE Superstars. It was overall a fun show to watch.
