Why gen 5 sucks:

lack of originality as compared to gen 1.

Even though I said I dont like gen 4 or 5. I think I will be giving it a chance. I never complained about how the Pokemon looked before so why should I now. Besides, I WANNA LEARN THE STORY GAWD DAYIMIT.

There definitely isn't a shortage of animals they could use, but that doesn't really mean they should. Some of the worst from Gen 5 were just regular animals, like the hideous dog and completely unremarkable swan. Something like Chandelure is way more interesting to me.

Mantine is based on a Manta Ray, and Kangaskhan is not an actual kangaroo.

@Toxik, Is that really a quail? I thought it was a pheasant, like its evolved form.

The thing with Kangaskhan is that it has a single attribute of a kangaroo, and that attribute is one that many animals share.

It is not actually based on a kangaroo, but merely references one with its pouch.

A pokemon that is based on a kangaroo would have the appearance of one, plus contain moves that relate to a kangaroo, such as heightened jumps or strong kicks.
