Make sure you always press d/b to cancel the backdash to block. It's very important. Since you play with Nina, you don't necessarily need to backdash. You can use what's called the "Hayashida-Step" (or H-Step). Just tap the following:
QCB~U~QCB~U~QCB~U~QCB~U, etc. If done fast enough, it will look like she is gliding diagonally to the background.
Nina has a reversal. It's done with either b+1+3 or b+2+4 I think. The reversals (and parries) pretty much act as they do in MK:A in terms of recoveries; that is, if you mis-time them, you will get punished. Some parries (only) have better recoveries, such as Jin's parry.
Also, I forgot to mention that very few attacks are un-parriable / irreversable, and trying to parry / reverse them will get you punished. Most shoulder attacks belong to that category.
Certain low attacks are also un-parriable using d/f. There are very few of them. For example, Marduk's d+4 cannot be low-parried.
Yoshi has some crazy stances and odd-looking moves but it's nothing to panic about once you learn his silly tricks. If he is in the Flea stance, use jabs to float him quickly. Also, watch out whe he's in that helicopter stance as he has a fast low attack from it.
one of things i am learning about this game is pressure. if you can put pressure on your opponent; you can setup for some insane mindgames. perfoming safe moves and punishments are what setup for the high levels of play in tekken. i do have more thoughts on this; but i would like either jadeown or dave to comment on this. then i can get a better perspective on this maybe

Also look out for Yoshimitsu's Indian Meditation or whatever (D+3+4). It heals him if you just let him sit there. Also his helicopter levitation (U+1+2).

Yoshimitzu's my fav so far, eventhough I haven't checked out DR yet.
I was playing soul caliber II for the 1st time in a theatre arcade yesterday and Yoshimitzu was in there too, he looked different but I think he had the exact same moves. I forgot who I was, I was some dude with crazy ass num chucks.
play you guys when T6 comes out.

I think the Asian characters say more stuff, lol. Lili's, Ling's, and Asuka's quotes are sometimes funny.
"It's time for my afternoon tea. Farewell."
^^^^Priceless!

lili is stupid, she makes the same damn motion for every single one of her little gay ass quotes.

Yes I am the pervert of Tekken. I fantasize about the females 24/7. But how do you know Panda's a girl? Panda's are also males genius. Either way they all kick your ass.

^^^Aha! So you did hear us!
But yeah Bryan you, like, need to calm yourself when lag takes over. Sometimes I feel like leaving so you're not yelling into my mic. Like Dan said, we weren't going on a rampage, lol. I don't know about him, but I just laughed at it and moved on.
And f.y.i. the sweep I did with Ling Xiayou. The one where she makes you flip side-ways, (SS, 3). Dude those types of sweeps, you can juggle off of. Even though they're touching the floor you can get a combo in. Kind of like an OTG in MKD. That's how I mostly got you with B+3 then 2,2,1 after doing her SS,3. Then again that's a typical combo with Ling Xiayou users. It takes a little over 1/4 of your health bar.

Oh now what! You think I can't go a week without playing your ass? Get over yourself, there's plenty of people I can play on DR, lol.
Heehee I see you all on Tekken DR pretty soon by the end of this year maybe during summer hopefully ^_^ So I can kick all your asses when I get it. Heehee nothing wrong with tekken girls.. Cause I know I -USE- them all not because I'm a female player, but because I know how to use em. :p
