Yes, I'm sure man, just saying how it sounded since a lot on here don't seem to respect DC and their characters.I'm sure though you respect them (if not like them) afterall, everyone has their preference especially when it comes to fiction.

I'm just noticing a lot, some people on here of late seem to be ripping one or the other which they shouldn't do just because both franchises have little in common ya know?

I do agree in the sense that the only reason MVC worked was because they sport similar "styles" in that cartoony PG look plus like you said no story or a shitty one all together, as oppose to MK and even some DC that have different styles and good storylines, don't forget Batman is very dark so him I'd picture in MK because he's fought all kinds of shit from humans to demons, witches etc in the DC universe as has other Justice Leagues at times. DC does have a division called Verigo DC comics and have made interesting stories such as Constantine and V for Vendetta, two awesome and very, very dark films that would actually go with MK's universe as far as darkness. Hmmm, makes me wonder on some possibilities with Vertigo characters...I'd like to see something with Vertigo perhaps creating dark version of some DC characters that would be interesting but anywho..

Yeah, the SC thing if you notice always seems to be random..I mean look at SC2, Link, Spawn and the dude from Tekken? The guy from Tekken makes the most sense since Namco makes Tekken besides SC, but the other characters and now SW characters in SC4 is just dumb....

SSB is the only fighitng game series in which it has a diverse amount of characters gamewise and weaponwise that actually works, there's no real storyline and SSB has always been one of those games to have different kinds of characters that work well during gameplay.

It seems that it's almost becoming a trend now with bigname fighting games, they should just stick to themselves, screw getting other characters from different universes involved....

BTW, the new Superman movie will be sick rumors have it Darkseid or Brainiac will show up, someone like that, not that I hated the last one because I liked it, just thought it could have been better. The new Batman looks sweet too, The Dark Knight.

I've known about this game for quite some time now and you guys can expect more of the same MK that you know and have grown to love or not love in my case.

I had another conversation with Midway employees, while on my way to the car after work. As you've read in my prior posts, I work for a software company, that shares a smoking area between my building and Midways in the Domain in Austin Tx.

I asked them about the game they're working on in Austin, (I can tell you about that later) and fumbled my way to ask about mk8. I can tell you that they confirmed it is a Vs game, and smiled surprisingly when I suggested it is Mk vs DC.

Only one of the 4 I spoke to in passing had seen some character models, and fighting environments. He is very impressed with what he saw, and said fans would not be disappointed in the game graphically. He actually said it was "incredible"

He also confirmed the fighting style of the game is similar to DOA.

When I pressed for more info, they said "you know as much as we do" and "the MK team is very secretive, even internally"

At this time, I said good day, and let them go toward where they were heading for lunch I assume.

1-You and JFR shared the same rumor to wast your free time .
2-JFR and you were sent by Midway to see how will we response early .

ED Boon is not the fool to do what you are saying unless it is a mini mode in the game or a game they will release before MK8 .

Ray is a reliable guy. He's given us info on MKDA and Deception before their releases if I remember right. I think it's true.

Plus TRMK confirmed the next Mk would be a VS game in september 2007 when the rumours first surfaced.

Ray worked on a few MKs at Midway, and you still doubt his info. I've been on the mk online scene when most of you were in 1st grade in 1992. I have never posted bogus info.

Its no secret that boon has said he wanted a vs game thats public knowledge.
Im nowhere near as well conected as some of you people are,the things Ive been told do point towards characters from another franchise being in the game.
It fits in with other info about an online series explaining the continued story of mk.
Without these videos people wont understand how the story advances.

I dont know but what I do know from sources is that this game at the very least will have characters from another franchise.

I dont mind seeing charcters from other franchise to be in the game but as jokes only and never do anything to the story ....

Look at it from a financial perspective,mortal kombat needs to be rebranded you can still have a dark gritty game featuring comic characters.
Just read a few of frank millers comics and you will see.
MK needs to attract a new fanbase and to do that it means taking a risk.
If sacrificing fatalitys means getting a fantastic fighting game then so be it. I dot think many people on this board have really woken up yet,this game is going to be radically different from any past MK. Its a total rebranding of the franchise,you will see hundreds of posts on this forum next week of people arguing over what they have just seen.

I can confirm with 100% accuracy that mk 8 is indeed a cross over game with another franchise. it doesnt matter if you believe me or not,you will see it with your own eyes next week.

If what CyberDog and JRF and the rest of them are saying i true .... so be it. It'll be a versus game and alot of people will be pissed. I'll still buy it and play it and most likely enjoy it. I love all types of fighters. But if it's not, I want everybody who said it was going to be to come on here and apologize for spreading such a rumor. Don't just disappear!! Own your mistake and apologize for it.
