The chances seem very slim. A cross-over game is no exactly the best way to start off the franchise in the new generation.

This is all just a stupid prank or something. Anyone here remember the Futuristic Zelda? Boon has said that he's looking at games like Gears of War for the style he's trying to emulate with MK8, and MKvDC does not support that at all. Not to mention that it'd be an icredibly stupid move to make the first Next Gen. Mortal Kombat be a crossover.

UE3 engine can't run on Wii. Don't be surprised if MKvsDC does happen.

But that's not my point. My point is, the first Next Gen MK would more likely be a true MK8, which would take more advantage of the abilities of Next Gen systems, rather than a crossover. Especially one such as MKvDC.

In fact though even the insiders on here are saying different things, one says it's not coming out for the wii, another says it is....I'll wait til midway confirms this, but would be very surprised if the wii doesn't get a version of MK8 being that it's the most popular console right now. If it has online play that'll be even better. hehe


Now on this MK vs. DC rumor gig again...If it does happen, it does. It'll still be an MK game, and I'm still going to play it and enjoy it MK alone or not...so I really don't see why everyone is saying "Ohh bye, bye MK, later" LMAO...the game's not even out yet and already people are judging it, not to mention nothing has been CONFIRMED YET so relax lol. Not to mention, umm the one thing that everyone knows for a fact is Boon/Midway said after MKA came out that they're starting "fresh" meaning ANYTHING is open to happen. Other fighters have had many crossovers and survived, there's no reason MK can't either.

You know what would kinda humorous....PS3 and 360 gets the 'real MK8' and the Wii does in fact get Mk v.s. Dc or whatever. Turn around and get a new Shaolin Monks 2-type game. That way everybody is right and we get more'Kombat.' whats better than that?

i can deal w/ the MKA engine as long as it got tweaked Majorly , but making it a wii only game would be just horrible and show that the team isnt really spending much time on the game since the wii is a weaker system compared to the 360 and PS3.

On the wii thing, for the skeptical people in here or unsure. The wii isn't as powerful as the other two graphically but that doesn't mean it would suck or not be a good idea.

Graphics afterall aren't "everything" there's character developement, gameplay, online play. Say the wii version has all of those besides the other two versions and all 3 are online playable then I see little disappointment. hehe
