what I can see happening is Mortal Kombat mixing with Killer Instinct since they both where made by Midway (for arcade), both had fatalities and both where awesome... but DC, no chance in hell..

Killer Instinct was made by Rare for Nintendo.

Anywho, I like the idea but it won't happen because it's not like Marvel vs. Capcom where both of those series are PG13 ish with their characters and despite the matches up being just as silly as MK vs. DC would like say Hulk vs. Ryu? ha, ha, it wouldn't work out in DC vs. MK's case due to storyline alone(not that MvC2 has a good one because it doesn't just saying)

as far as story, there is no mk story, all of ur favs will be dead. shang will beat blaze and kill everyone like the story goes. hence earthrelm will need people to defend it, enter the justic league.

Instead of a full-on VS. game, why not just have 1 or 2 characters from the DC universe jump over to MK? Alot like SC4 is doing. Just have Batman and one other character be hidden. Don't give them fatalities. Give them something else instead. Just my idea.

I do agree with you Red on some fans priorities worrying about trivial shit like costumes, arenas, bios etc and gameplay should be first, but if you think MK is a horrible fighting game then they wouldn't still be being made, enough said.

MK's still one of the best fighters out there and still very popular, once MK8 hits shelves it'll sell for the UR engine alone, game will look sick

and where do u think these sales will come from with no ps2?? xbox360 will not even come close to making up for the lost sales of ps2.

ps2 outsold xbox and xbox360 3-1 in mkd and mka. mk8 will not sell well just on that fact alone.

chief thunder was out before nightwolf, hell they even made him look like chief thunder in mka, raptor geee reptiles change kinda looked like raptor at teh end. and lets not even go with blaze the biggest cinder rip off ever, do i need to cont, in this area?

It's like I said in the other thread, MK was out before KI was and where do you think KI got the "darkness" factor from? hmmm, funny because the only other fighter out at the time was MK, and also the only fighter out at the time that had dark, bloody finishing moves, blood and the dark atmosphere....

Then KI comes out with blood similar to MK's, corny finishing moves listed as "Humiliations" and characters that are bite offs of MK and SF characters...

lol, Reptile was out way before Raptor was and Reptile looks different in every MK game he's been in thus far, he's not a straight out dinosaur like Raptor is. Reptile looks more like an Iguana, Raptor looks like a umm Raptor lol. So if anything Raptor is a Reptile biteoff or inspired character.


How is Blaze like Cinder? lol cause he has fire powers? Then how come you didn't mention the dude from SF3 or the dude from SC who actually Blaze is more accurate too then Cinder, just look at the size of him not to mention Blaze move wise and storyline wise is a lot more powerful then Cinder can dream to be.

You're acting as if MK is the only game to have an Native like character besides KI, umm ever play Super SF 2 with T.Hawk? Who came out around the same time as NW did in MK3's first appearance. Honestly don't see how Chief Thunder and NW are alike other then the fact that they're both Natives and at least NW has a story background and is important to the MK storyline lol, what's CThunders? A native in there for the hell of it? okey then..not to mention the special moves are very different.

You can't say or complain about MK having a similar character to KI's because MK came out first, so if anything KI bite off of MK in certain ways which I've already listed.

But by all means, keep grasping at straws to list KI characters I'll counter every argument you post since MK came out before KI did. What are you going to list next? Fulgore/Cyber ninjas? ha, they're also nothing alike...Fulgore looks like a robotic spartan while Cyrax, Sektor and Smoke look like cyber ninjas with wires literally...not to mention more nimble then Fulgore is and sounds like he weighs a few tons in KI lol.

There's been MK tournaments in NYC area as you know, with UMK3 and it also made Evo one year if you do your homework. It's even posted on your buddies site in one thread or two.

And who cares if MK doesn't have constant tournaments? lol neither does KI, Bloody Roar, SSB(in this country) or VF or Tekken. And yes, I know about the "underground tourney's" well so does certain MK games like UMK3, MK2 etc mainly the older ones. Hanzo down in Venezuela also holds tournies for several fighting games and MK being among the top.

And despite my likeness towards MK, that has nothing to do with it. Hear me out a second.

If you want to be technical, the only professional fighter out there is DOA4 that's constantly talked about all over as I even know a friend personally that plays and gets paid big money for it. Go look him up, name is Swoozie...I'm good friends with him, search his name on youtube if you don't believe me and you'll find lots of results I assure you. MLG, surely a gamer like you has surely heard of it.

I mean, I was really Hoping for Mortal Kombat 8 to start in a new line of Mortal Kombat storyline, But somewhat a Tiny small Relation to the Previous MK's.
Now that they aren't going to make an MK Itself.
They may Lose over Thousands Of fans.
I will Rent the game. And if it sucks. That's it for me. No more mortal Kombat.

If they Combine a Kids game with an Adults game. That is just going to Encourage more kids to Play Mortal Kombat Games. Which still happens a lot.
