He was asked about why Sub-Zero wasn't Cyber and he replied (he sounded rather on the spot, so I don't think he was ready for it) that there have been multiple people other than Bi-Han and Kuai Lang that have assumed the role of Sub-Zero and that the Sub-Zero in MKX could be a new person taking on the role.

Of course, doesn't mean that's the case though.

I know, that's just what I personally think. It could be Kuai Lang, but to me it makes more sense if it's someone new.

No, Boon said we would know which Sub-Zero it is through the Story Mode. That heavily suggests that it is one of the Subbies we already know. Definately not an entirely new one.

Yeah, if they introduced a new person behind Sub-Zero, we would find out in the story. I don't really get your point. There's a chance it could be new person. I know most people are just going to blow off what Boon said, but there's always the chance. I personally welcome a new person behind the Sub-Zero role for two reasons;

1) We can still have Kuai Lang and Bi-Han as Cyber Sub-Zero and Noob.
2) NRS won't have to create some stupid and lazy reason as to why Kuai Lang is not a Cyborg.

It'd be cool to have someone new as Sub-Zero and let Kuai Lang be his own person, just like how Bi-Han became his own character. It could work.

Mileena, Baraka, Kano, Jax, Sektor and possibly Smoke but as a Cyborg.

I'll be fine with just one Sub-Zero. He already has three variations, no need to make multiple versions of the same character AGAIN! And from the information we have, I believe it is one of the Subbie's we already know.

Sure, there's a chance it is a new guy, but it wouldn't make sense and I doubt it is. It would mean that one of the currently known Subbies somehow get a son to pass on the mantle. They derive from an extinct race of Cryomancers after all, it is unlikely that a whole new guy just coming in from the sideline, claiming the title. If that is the case though, it'd just be plain stupid, imo.

While a new human Sub-Zero would be interesting, I'd much rather see the transition from cyborg back to human or how Bi Han goes from Noob back to Sub.

I really don't like the confusion that seems to be getting kicked up surrounding the Sub-Zero brothers, Noob, and CSZ. If it plays out, I'm hoping we see the conclusion to the original storyline. Where Bi Han is killed, Kuai Liang takes over and eventually becomes grandmaster, and Bi Han turns into Noob Saibot. I think that was complicated enough, and I think it was good the way it was. Last about the Sub-Zero brothers, I still don't care at all about a CSZ...I still think that character was a silly idea and should be left at that. lol

Other characters I think have a shot at coming back?

Raiden - He'll pop up somewhere given that he was central to all the stuff going on in MK9. A few things here since this is my fav character:

a.) I really wish they'd stop making him such a dumbass God character. There's nothing wrong with having and intelligent God character that encounters problems. He doesn't need to be a big idiot in order for the story to work. Aside from that, what's really making him a God character amidst all these other characters with special powers if he can't perform in more ways than they can? Make him intelligent already. I feel like they're intimidated by this notion.

b.) I want to see the conflict between him and Shinnok as a nod to the events of MK4. I realize we're in for a bit of a re-write but, this conflict happened before the events of MK1...and therefor, before MK9. Let's get a cool 1-2min flashback worth of storytime on this. Something showing how Raiden won and succeeded at banishing the Elder God Shinnok.

c.) Let's see Shinnok fall from grace, take over hell, overthrow Lucifer, make the breakthrough into Edenia, and come to the point in the timeline that he's in right now... coming into this MKX storyline. It's cool enough content...builds both those characters up instead of breaks them down, and it doesn't need to happen exactly as it did the first go round. Let's see it.

Kai - I think it's good timing to bring him in. Looking at from a superficial standpoint, Jax will be too old or dead by now, and a character like Darrius isn't ready to come into the fold. i think Kai would be an awesome addition to this roster. More than that, what if Kai is one of the four people Raiden chose from his ending in MK9?

Shinnok - I don't want him as a playable character. At least not initially. I'd like them to build him up as a threat and boss character, and then present him as maybe the last DLC we get. Something to that effect.

Kitana - She doesn't age like the other humanoids. She should be in I think.

...that's all I want to post for now.
