Shujinko sucks ass no doubt about that(Among all the Konquests in Mk, his was the worst.). Bo Rai Cho is just a complete joke and can be easily replaced by Kung Lao. His moves are just too comical and lame for MK.

Kobra, Jarek, Stryker, Rain and Kai are just too forgettable and Jareks's storyline was just screwed up. And unlike Ermac, Rain just went from bad to worse IMO.

Sindel needs to go but I am really going to miss her if she DOES go. She's so unique. Tanya is just.......shit. wait no she's worse than shit. shit is better than her.

Baraka, Kano, and Reptile are too overrated well i'll be more compassionate about Raptile so i didn't put him there but the other two............GOTTA GO. And their storyline keeps on sucking and sucking and sucking. Gameplay wise though...wait no Baraka still sucks and Kano's weapon's suck even more.

Sheeva looks very unappealing to look at. Is she really a woman??

Blaze is the boss of Armageddon so he'll probably die. Chameleon, Mokap and Meat are the worst joke characters ever. They all need to go. Motaro and Kintaro need to go. To many Shokans. Don't need more.

Frost, Moloch, Drahmin and Darrius are the worst new non-joke characters to date. Frost is just a woman version SUB-ZERO and Darrius just.............weird. Daegon, Mavado and Hsu Hao.........failures. Well I was supposed to keep mavado but since he's not really the leader they should just all go.

Onaga and Shao Kahn will both most probably kill each other, I don't know how but they'll both kill each other.

Liu Kang should play dead and never return. No more f-in revivals. He should just kill shang Tsung and do somethiing to himself and never return. Quan CHi should return but I agree with someone who said that Quan CHi returning will ruin Scorpion's already fucked up storyline.

Based on the storylines, if I were to choose bet. Ashrah and Nitara, it'll be nitara but I still think she has a chance of returning.

I'm on the fence with Li Mei. Her moves are slutty, her costume is to whore-ish but she's fun to use and her storyline is not bad at all. But still, i dunno if she will stay. But the MK team improved her a lot though.

I agree with everyone saying that Kitana should be the queen and retire but I still like her fans they're too original and I'd really hate it if someone else uses her fans. Mileena...........hmmmmmmmmm I really don't know what's going to happen to her it will really depend on what happens to Kitana unless she finds a new rival.

Jax, Johnny Cage are actually going nowhere right now. it'll depend on what happens in Armageddon. Cyrax should stay only if Sektor stays. The problem with Smoke is........there's not really much happening with him. I don't know. I'd rather see Kira return than Kabal but I won't mind if Kabal stays too. Reptile is toss-up for me.....................story's really going nowhere for me but still there's gameplay, moves, uniqueness and popularity and he has all of them. Khameleon will only stay if repltile does. Taven............not really sure but Daegon should go. Dairou is one of the "better" characters but I dunno what to do with him....not really caring. SAME THING WITH Nightwolf and Shinnok. Shinnok will probably stay though, he's a god to begin with. Reiko................He should return(makes a great ruler) but there's some sense of doubt for me. 3. Kung Lao: I think it's time for him to take the hero mantle from Liu Kang.

5. Li Mei: IF they develop her story a bit more.

These are the strongest characters on the roster for one reason or another. These charcters should have the best chances of coming back in some way imo:

31. Sub-Zero (fan fav, but has enough story to legitimize him being there)

32. Sektor (story lately has enough to bring him back. Special Forces vs Tekunin Forces = "Man vs The Machine" or "Earth vs Outter Space" as a sub-plot.)

33. Dairou (mercenaries are always cool. Maybe let him work for Raiden for a spell since he has good judgment, but doesn't have anything to really loose right now.)

34. Fujin ("Helps" Raiden....."by any means necessary")

35. Hotaru (Uphold Order, "by any means necessary". Nice element to have in the games story.)

36. Shujinko (I still think he's the most powerful character on the roster...he's got potential to be your best ally, or you worst nightmare considering the powers Onaga gave him.)

37. Taven (Figures out "How to be a God". Shouldn't come back Mk8 though, maybe just influences, and comes back Mk9 or 10. I really don't like him at all though...but he has purpose.)

38. Kung Lao (Best candidate to take Master Bo Rai Chos' place in the series.)

39. Raiden (Fujin and Kung Lao have something to do with getting him under control. Elder Gods demote him, turn him human...Raiden then struggles to become a god again....ect ect.. That's my take for my favorite character. Bottom line is he's not done and shouldn't be for a long while yet.)

40. Sonya (Maybe not playable again but, maybe promote her. She's getting older. Maybe have her involved in a War between the SF and the Tekunin, but not necessarily as a playable character. She could also introduce new members of the SF.)

41. Ashrah (I don't like her, but she's not done yet either...Maybe have Nitara bite her. lol)


42. Nitara (I like her....again, have her turn Ashrah into a vampire.)

43. Sareena (idk. I just know I like her. I like what they did with her in MkA too. [rare])

44. Havik (Great element in the game, despise his move sets and specials though. Have him cause more chaos for order and Hotaru)

45. Drahmin (Intriguing past. Maybe explore that a bit and let us see exactly who this dude was and what more he has to do with the tournament of Mortal Kombat. I don't like him the way his is though...I just like his story.)

46. Onaga (I like him, but he may have been ruined. Still has a little potential to be a huge threat the way the One Being woke him up and all. I wanna see what else might be there I guess..)

Liu Kang- Boring character whom I've wanted gone since MKII. Stay dead and don't come back.

Johnny Cage- Ran his course and zero interest in seeing him as "the hero."

Sonya Blade- Wouldn't miss her.

Kano- Should've never come back after MK3.

Scorpion- Fat chance, but it's painful to see the utter joke he's become.

Reptile- A good character who's run his course. Retirement.

Goro- Should've stayed dead after MK:DA. Latest flip-flop was one too many. Stay dead this time.

Shang Tsung- Won't miss him.

Jax- Useless without Sonya.

Baraka- The henchman bit is old and I'm not interested in seeing him attempt to take his own power. Off him.

Smoke- I like Smoke, but he seems like likely cannon fodder for Armageddon.

Kintaro- See Smoke.

Shao Kahn- As the main bad guy of the era, he should logically end with it.

Sindel- They should streamline the plot and unless they think of something fantastic for her, Sindel's excess space.

Nightwolf- Disposable casualty of Armageddon.

Stryker- See Nightwolf.

Sheeva- See Stryker.

Cyrax- Has run his course and a good way of establishing Sektor as a genuine threat.

Mimik- Worst character ever made. Period.

Motaro- They brought him back for completion. That done, leave him dead this time.

Quan Chi- Much as I like him...since we know Scorpion's coming back, he desperately needs to lose the revenge bit. Also similar reasons as Shao Kahn.

Shinnok- Similar reasons as Shao Kahn. No major bad guy should survive Armageddon.

Kai- See Nightwolf again.

Jarek- See Nightwolf and Motaro.

Reiko- See Jarek. The Shao Kahn wannabe storyline is lame.

Meat- Do I need to give a reason?

Frost- See Sindel. We already have a Cyromancer character. We already have a traitorous characters. We already have enemies for Sub-Zero.

Hsu Hao- Cannon fodder.

Bo' Rai Cho- He'd have more impact dying in Armageddon than continuing on.

Moloch- Cannon fodder.

Blaze- He's served his purpose.

Mokap. See Meat.

Darrius- At least one of the current Seido cast should die in Armageddon and the others have better future prospects.

Kobra- Cannon fodder.

Shujinko- Served his purpose.

Onaga- See Shinnok.

Taven- Zero interest in seeing him continue.

Daegon- Served his purpose, I guess.


STAY:
Raiden- Keep him "dark." Make him an antagonist.

Sub-Zero- We already know he's back...and unlike Scorpion, he's managed to stay viable. He needs to be promoted into main event level stories, though.

Mileena- Just drop the rivalry with Kitana and I'd like to see her continue.

Noob Saibot- He still has places to go. Just don't make him Sub-Zero again or even a fusion of them.

Sektor- Places to go. Build him as Sub-Zero's antithesis.

Ermac- Good potential. He can go places.

Fujin- New Guardian of Earth.

Sareena- Massive potential. She can go far...and should.

Tanya- Unlikely, and I know everyone hates her, but I still see something in her. She can feud with Kitana or Jade (depending on who returns) and/or Mileena (which I'd really like to see).

Kenshi- Good character. Should keep him around.

Li Mei- Another good character with a good story going.

Nitara- I'd like to see where she goes.

Drahmin- Underrated character with a good concept and solid backstory. They should make better use of him.

Ashrah- An antithesis for Sareena. They also introduced a rivalry with Nitara.

Havik- Good character who can go in different directions.

Hotaru- See Havik.

Kira- She's cool.


MAYBE:
Kung Lao- Ditch his Shaolin Monks persona and promote him in the story. If not, retire him.

Kitana- She's run her course and can be retired, but if they do something good with her, I'd like to see where she goes. Also'd be kind of shame to lose her since she's one of the most developed characters in the game.

Jade- Either her or Kitana. Similar reasons as Sindel.

Kabal- Take or leave him.

Rain- Only if Kitana comes back.

Khameleon- There is still a part of me that would like to see her get a REAL revamp and distance her from her piece of shit male counterpart.

Mavado- Same as Kabal.

Dairou- What's wrong with him can be fixed. But I could take or leave him.

I think these guys should stay...
-Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, Ermac, Rain, Noob, Smoke(human form), Reiko, Kitana, Jade, Mileena, Baraka, Kung Lao, Liu Kang, Kai, Shinnok, Quan Chi, Raiden, Fujin, Nitara, Bo' Rai Cho, Kenshi, Li Mei, Havik, Sheeva, Drahmin, Shang Tsung, Kintaro(or Motaro)...

I think these characters are the ones that make MK stick out from any other fighting game. These guys are the one's that look the most aggressive, or evil, or extremely skilled fighters...
I think that anything that makes MK appear more like an ordinary fighting game (such as average looking people like Jax, Kano, Sonya, Stryker, Mavado...) should go, because, they can't really do anything about Gods and Realms, and Destruction, they're just people...
The characters I mentioned are all mostly supernatural beings, there's a reason behind the powers they have, or they're just cool enough to fit right in, like Liu Kang and Kai...maybe there's more characters like this, but those are the ones that come to mind right now...

Everyone needs to go, including Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Sorry to say that, but they all need to go and start anew.
