I like Raiden. NRS just makes his character seem like a dumbass sometimes

More like he's always been a dumbass and NRS just finally started having other characters acknowledge it.

I think people are just shallow, Raiden is like the only damn character in the game who acts like a fucking person in his situation would. So what if he tried to sell the souls of the heroes to Quan Chi? Wouldn't you have traded a few lives for the entire Earthrealm race?

Raiden is awesome and a wise character, he has always been there and should always be there.

EDIT: He didn't heal Kitana because he doesn't like him... Nahh seriously, he didn't heal her because he can heal wounds not restore souls. Sindel already took her soul or half of it.

There are several Raiden fans here. People on here mostly acknowledge him for his royal screw-ups...hints the name "God of Blunder".

I respect Raiden as a classic, but he was the instrument NRS used to deliver a lot of nonsensical BS making him look like a complete idiot so his character in the canon is dumb and responsible for a lot of things fans didn't like.

I don't hate Raiden.

I don't like the seriousness in his character, it sux. I like his personality in the first MK movie. That's the real Rayden for me.

my favorite raiden is deception raiden who got tired of peoples shit and grew a pair. I do, however like the idea of him constantly trying to do right and failing and having that trouble him, weigh on him greatly. it could be a fresh take on an old character.

That being said, I tolerate his presence and acknowledge the fans and money he brings to the series.

Alright but seriously, it's time for all of you to line up on your knees like circus seals and thank Raiden for MK9 which is the fucking game so many of you wanted in the first place and preventing the Armageddon of his universe.

Raiden is one of the best characters in the MK series PERIOD. I don't care what anybody says. All that talk about him being a "Blunder God" is lame and overused.

He did what he had to do to keep Earthrealm safe and of course there were some casualties. Half of those casualties are still in this game no?

Besides, what's the difference between Raiden knowing the future and trying to prevent it from happening than lets say... Sub-Zero?

He has one of the best designs, story and move set. Raiden is awesome in my book.

Everyone hates him because of the way he did things in mk9. I love it and think it would be cool if he turns full crazy god who just fucks up everything.

Raiden is the man, especially for the MK9 stuff. Everyone says "Raiden fucked everything up!", but if Raiden wasn't around they'd all be really fucked, so to me it weighs in his favor. Gods make mistakes.

Raiden gets shit because he handled the events in MK9 poorly. But I do sympathize Raiden because it was a tough situation.

I actually like Raiden though. He's one of the few characters in MKX that makes me want to play all their variations. Gameplay wise he's never looked better. I also really love his snarky intro dialogue.
