Someone who's brother is also Sub-Zero's half brother... wouldn't that mean that Scorpion too would also be Sub-Zero's half-brother? Yeah, if you want a strange family twist, we already have that, Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot.

Not to mention, we already have a character who can perform Scorpion and Sub-Zero's moves, his name is Reptile, who can be found in the Pit lvl in the first MK.

I liked the fatality system in Armageddon, but it would be exciting to add a special finisher for each character. For example, you cold rip enemy in two pieces, it can be replaced with a special move, like acid spit, fire breath and so on. And If you'll make special finisher for each position - knees, behind, etc, it would be just great)))

Y'know Xia, at any given moment, more MKO posters are newbies than anything else, so almost no one knows "Mimik" is your name for Chameleon.

The who should survive lists are biased.

Of course they are. We have no actual say in the real story, so we pick those that we like or that we think have the best story potential to survive in our ideal versions of the future roster.

Very few people here are saying, "This is what the roster is going to be" Most people are saying "This is the roster I would have" or "This is the roster I think works best", because we know that it is just our opinion.

Again, it's most of us that know that. Some people seem to think that their ideas are godly and refuse to discuss their choices because their word is law. Most of them are noobs, though.

My roster would have to be

RETURING:
Scorpion (Maybe)
Sub Zero (New Generation)
Raiden
Someone from the Kung Lao/ Lui Kang bloodline
Shang Tsung/ Any other Outworld Sorcerer

As for the rest, I want a total revamp of Mortal Kombat....everything right now is too clustered and is flat out boring me.

Bring in all new characters....kinda work in connections to past ones though.


If they can keep the current roster and make a good game...then by all means do it; but I think it would just be easier to start from scratch story/character-wise.

Current timeline:

Shao Kahn stands defeated athis throne.
Defeated and humiliated he wants revenge to all who stood in his way.

With all his power he opens a portal. he enters it and it closes after him.

Kahn reappears on earth at the first MK tournament, right before Shang Tsung is summoned to Kahn for his recruitment.

Kahn rushes to the throne room, where he knows his younger self resides.
He opens the doors to the throne room, storms at his youngerself and utters the words:" You fool, you will doom us all.!" And he absorbs his youngerself.
Kahn, restored to full strength, creates a portal back to outworld and leaves with all his minions.

Shang Tsung opens the doors to the throne room, finding it empty and returns to rayden. He lost his last battle, but he gets a rematch vs this same adversary.

This fight he wins... and Shang Tsung is now the Mortal Kombat Champion.



From this new past till now Shao Kahn has executed all past MK characters when they were infants. This to ensure that they never evercan face him again. Zatarra, Reptails world has been destroyed, the Shokan extermenaited and most mk characters have been killed.



Returning characters;
- Scorpion;
Human form, was hired to kill subzero and succeeded. Spear made place for a rope like in the comics. Human smokevial like teleport punch.

Kano, Shao kahn never could find him because he was left to be found by the black dragon. Since he did exterminate the Blackdragon officers found the baby when investigating the crime scene.

Liu kang has been abducted as a child and trained by Shao kahn to be a personal bodyguard. the strongest MK champion in his hands.

Fighting should be exactly like MK2. No cheap combo system, no fighting stances, no rage bars, no create character or create youre own lame fatality's.

Everybody please discuss your thoughts of who should be cut. The character amount is 25 not including 1 sub-boss and 1 boss character.

I think if Shao Kahn lost his throne in Outworld, the the Shokans and Centaurs go in battle after a long rivalry of which race can control Outworld, and with that exploring new shokan and centaur characters as well as the bosses Motaru and Kintaro.

I want Kreate-A-Kharacter back; improved of course.
1. More parts and special moves, especially those belonging to non-returning characters.
2. The ability to change the color of the special moves.
3. The option for Shokan and Saurian models along with Human (Tarkatan, Vampire, Cyromancer, and the bipedal Centaurians can be created using special parts on the Human model). And there should be no trouble making a moveset for Shokans since Goro, Kintaro, and Sheeva rarely used their lower set of arms anyway. Of course there could be unique special moves only for characters for Shokan, Tarkatan, and winged (Vampire, Angel, Demon, and Dragon) KaKs.

I'd like them to add tag-team mode, team battle mode, and cpu vs. cpu (I like watching the game fight itself, lol).

I'd like the return of ominous secret characters like from MK1, MK2, and (somewhat) MK3.

Oh, and I'd like them to use less loin-clothes!

I'll make a list of a handful of characters that I think should return and give reasons why.

I think that fatality system was a good concept for Armageddon and I wish they had done exclusive character finishers too. I think that system allows for variety but they would need to use it more effectively. Unfortunately Armageddon boasted a huge roster but many knew it would come to sacrifice the quality of balance and the quality of gameplay. For MK9 I would like to see a balanced roster with everyone totally unique and with their own deep move set.

I wouldn't mind seeing a selectable Zaterra level. It's been mentioned often enough it would be nice to see it.

you know i was thinking about it and its really possible for them to make a mk game like mk vs dc but only follow each characters story...but the only problem with that would be two things... A. It would only be for ps3 cause its the only system that would have the type of disk space to do it. "lets face it midway isn't going to make a game that big and put it on 4 dvd's for the xbox...cost to much" and B. to have that kinda game actually take place it would require YEARS of work... true they could recycle the game engine which they are likely going to do anyway but still to get all the movies and all the detail in it on such a LARGE story...would take a great deal of time to do it right.
