I would love to see another openrealm MK title, but I would rather it be a spinoff. I want another adventure that spans the major realms.
I used to hope for one postArmageddon but that's not gonna happen.

I'd rather have Deadly Alliance's Konquest mode in a fighting game as it uses the fighting engine, gives more details about a characters plot during the game and is a good training tool. Combine that with story mode and hopefully some characters wouldn't feel so useless.

Those games are from ten years ago, they could make it way better and bigger and much more in depth now.

The PS1 gave us the best Final Fantasy game.

The restriction that made Konquest disappointing was not the technology of the era, it was how much DEV TIME and resources they had to devote to its development.

I kinda doubt they can make a satisfying overworld map for an RPG or Adventure game, with all the recognizeable locales in it, as a SIDE mode in a fighting game, no matter WHAT console it's on and how many years they have because no matter what, MOST of the programmers are going to be working on the FIGHTING GAME.

That's why there should never be a Konquest Mode again, they should only have cutscenes in the Fighting series and if you want to explore, they should make SEPARATE GAMES for that.

Something has me curious as well Razor. Do you like this whole soulnado thing for Bi-Han returning?

Noob is the only version of Bi-Han I like.

I agree, but I still think konquest mode was pretty good in MKD, I enjoyed it. It would be cool to have a new adventure konquest game though since it has been ten years.

I enjoyed learning Sheeva's fate in MKDA's Konquest.

MKDA had the best Konquest, because it wasn't an adventure/RPG game, it was a mini Story Mode for each character.

It just had text instead of cutscenes. If they did a game that way again where you pick your character at the beginning (and everyone is selectable and has their own path) and play a series of fights with them with cutscenes in between so you get that specific character's perspective throughout the plot, it'd be pretty great.

I think the Bloody Roar games used to do their story modes like that.
