Mortal Kombat 4 is one of the best MK games of all time. Probably my favorite.

Though MKX so far is looking to become my favorite MK game.

To me HP+LP+HK+LK+Sweeps+Upercuts+Special Powers x Fatalities=Mortal Kombat.

Maybe MKX will change my opinion about this.

I know that MK has to evolve, but I miss how the fighters DID NOT speak in the classics because it gave them and MK overall this mysteriousness that isn't there anymore. Everything else was pretty much left to your imagination.

Skarlet should have debuted in MKX. In comparison to all of the classics in MK2011, she's forgettable.

I don't think NRS really cared about her that much, to be honest. After all, it took eighteen years until she finally debuted in a game, and as a DLC afterthought, no less.

They need to do a little more effort regarding her moveset though

- I fucking hate everything about Fujin. His look, his shitty gameplay, his storyline. And what's worse, I hate that almost everyone here has an orgasm over him. Hands down the most overrated character in the entire series.

- I hate that almost every bad guy in the series at one point changes to good. Characters like SIndel, Ermac, Jade, Sub-Zero, Cyrax, and even Kitana have lost their appeal because of this. KEEP THEM EVIL. I still love Kitana though.

- I don't care for the Special Forces. Lame and boring.

- I hate multiple fighting styles/variations of each character. Keep it simple like in MK9. Stick to a winning formula.

I don't think any game will surpass the dark, ancient, mystical feel of MK and MK2. The music alone beats all other games

Can't agree more. I respect people who get deep into it, because at one time I was myself, but the last few games have shown that the story has declined since its heights during the PS2 era. Seriously, MKDA and MKD had some amazingly detailed and powerful stories. Now I'm just in it for gameplay and fun stuff. Story is still nice, but I'm definitely not as obsessed with it as I was ten years ago.

So it irks me when I say I want a certain character to make the cut and the MK bible thumpers swoop down and go all "OH NO! THEY CANNOT BE IN THIS GAME! THEY DIED! THE STORY IS TRUTH! THE STORY IS LIFE! THE STORY CANNOT BE CHANGED!"

And I'm just like...well OK.

A definite ending game that finishes the franchise. Not hurrying it, but some resolution would be nice.

On topic, every time I see a fan begging and pleading for Kitana to be brought back in MKX, I hope she isn't included more-and-more (even though it's a near certainty she will be.) Also, I greatly dislike Fujin; he might be second only to Skarlet in terms of my absolute disinterest. Jarek is more interesting than Fujin.

Freddy Krueger should become a fully-fledged MK Kombatant.

Since WB have no idea what to do with him film-wise, I think he'd make a perfect inclusion to the series in order to flesh him out. The Nightmare film series would still have no connection to the games, as it would be Netherrealm's own version of Krueger.
