Oh yes, he did. I can't find the exact tweet where he said it, but someone back in February gathered a bunch of info he said on reddit, and he said there would be a Tarkatan gunslinger.

Unless I see him posting it, I'm not gonna take it as proof. Things are too easily misconstrued from person to person, something like that could have been the reddit user's mistake.

even though i think this guy is a fake(his bio about Liu is a dead giveaway, since Liu isn't scarred. i do think Reiko is an unlockable, i also think there's more than one charcacter that we haven't seen that's unlockable(Havik or Fujin, or both)

I don't know abut Reiko, it might be the nice surprise but I find it really unlikely. Even Boon stated the roster to be 24+1, you guys saw the final roster, how hard can it be to accept this?

Remember that Cove scene in the Shaolin trailer where all of the Tarkartans are leading the captured monks to the ships? What if that scene wasn't in the present MKX timeframe, but actually a flashback in MK9 that wasn't presented in the MK9 Story Mode? It does answer the question why we haven't seen Liu and Kung in the second part of the game until they, Raiden, and Smoke encounter Jade who gives them the news of Kitana's execution. And I bet that if so, then Kotal Kahn and Reiko won't be far just like the flashbacks by Reiko in the comics who used to work with Kotal under Shao Kahn. I bet Liu Kang is going to meet and fight Reiko and almost get BEATEN by the strong and very intelligent Reiko before fate calls him into the tournament to fight a blind swordsman (remember Shang Tsung announcing a match between Kenshi and Reiko after Sub-Zero's chapter?) in that flashback and much later in the MKX timeline, he's going to get the shock of his life when he faces a Blood God Reiko, 10X stronger than the warrior that almost killed him in Outworld. That's outta leave a strong impression.

The comics, the trailer clips, "surprise returning character" it all makes sense to me now

No way Li Mei gets a DLC spot. Not a chance in bleeding hell she gets one ahead of Jade, Sindel, or Frost. I don't even like those characters very much, but I know they'd outsell Li Mei 50 to 1. Tanya, I think is a risk, but people know her as an MK4 alum and were pretty vocal about her, same with Tremor. Li Mei is not a character that will make any sort of scratch, no way, no how. I've played before and after he introduction; I've had over a decade to know her, and I still call her Mei Ling from time to time.

Not impressed with the 2nd DLC pack if it's true. Fujin is good but Li Mei and Smoke are just meh, never cared about them... Really wish Sareena and Frost were in instead, they have much more potential.
