I mean, including the comic we also have Takeda. Granted, his role in the game is not assured (though it is likely). How many times can it be revealed that familiar characters now have a child before it starts to become eye roll inducing? We have Kenshi, Cage and Sonya now. And now possibly Jax, with as you said, more likely to come. I'm all for change, and I'm not against the descendants idea, but this angle is getting tired fast. I'd rather completely new characters than ones that have a false sense of familiarity.

Not to mention I think most fans would be more "critical" of these so called descendants than a regular new fighter. These mysterious sons, daughters, nieces, cousins, adopted children, foster daughters ect have a ton to live up to and I have a feeling that if they don't live up to it, this will easily be their first and probably last game as we are a very impatient fanbase when it comes to newcomers. It's risky and I think it's better served leaving the incoming relatives at maybe 3, any more is pushing it and is nothing but a gimmick.

As far as Jax, I don't want him in the game as I'm bored with him and have been bored with him for going on 13 years now. But I would be interested in seeing what a possible daughter/niece/protégé could bring to the table as long as she's not Jax with boobs and isn't created to just follow Cassie around like a lost puppy. Might be refreshing if maybe she became an enemy of Cassie's. Now that could be fun.

Now that I could get into.

All I have to say is they better not give her Cybernetic arms.

I think everyone could because it would have the added impact that their parents were so close they were like family, so for their daughters to be mortal enemies would definitely be something to spice things up in the offspring department.
