To answer your question which their existence hasn't been deterred by the new changes in the timeline, I'd probably go for ending cameos...

They were the lead characters in MKA pretty much, seeing how the game revolves around them, Blaze and the quest.

Well, the Red Dragons have to exist so Daegon by extension would be around and doing things. Do I personally want either Taven or Daegon in this game though? Not really but if NRS can give them an interesting and good reason for being included then I'll be fine with them.

Well, Daegon is still working for Shinnok, so we can see him betraying him/taking Outworld in the end, and for MK11, wake up Taven to stop him. There's still room for them in MK games.

But, in the other hand, replace Daegon/Taven for Reiko's spot, and I will take the other five over the two any day of any year in any universe.

Yeah, wasn't his fault that Blaze energies were corrupted. Probably u prefer Raiden's way to avoid Armageddon, which was more killing half of the (MK9) rather than stopping for good Shao Kahn. But in fact, Raiden avoided that Blaze becomes Mega Blaze - not enough powerful warriors to threaten to wake-up One Being's mind/conscience -, than avoiding Armageddon itself.

I might would want to see Daegon again in a future game, but definitely not for MKX. Taven was as boring and generic as they come.

Well imagined if you woke up from a million year slumber and found out your parents used you on a quest to save the world, who are now killed by your evil brother who wasn't evil before he got put in the slumber. Not to mention your brother wants to kill you and rule the world even though you've done NOTHING wrong to him. How was Taven supposed to stop Armageddon WITHOUT any prior knowledge?

In other words just give Taven a break.

Exactly my thought when they said this in another thread...like Fujin. In MK4. Forced to be in MKA. I know a lot of people want Fujin back, but I don't think that deems him overrated. I mean, seriously, gameplay wise, he's gonna be a fucking monster if he returns in MKX.

I really hope you're not taking what I said seriously..We honestly don't know what happened to Taven other than him not fulfilling his quest to stop Armageddon. When and how he died was never shown....not that it really matters now. Even though he was bit bland, I thought Taven was pretty cool. The main downside was his inclusion right at the very end, and it give him a chance to grow at all as a character.

With all that being said....his ship has sailed, and I'm going to have to say no on both brothers.
